This for me is an example of why 80's music was so good. All those synth textures, nice bits of funk guitar and a ripping stevie ray vaughan-type guitar solo over the top, can't beat it!
Its so insanly uplifting and motivational. You can jump to the moon with this Songs.

I have been looking for this song for over 10 years now jealousy envy hate surprise and admiration are very little words right now thus version isn't even the exact version from the movie its edited in some way but its the best fucking version on the whole Internet at this point man I just want to eternally thank you for this you have no idea what this movie means to me and my brother growing up as kids Arnold is and will always be a fucking meteor ready to strike challenge down the man the legend he will always be back

Written by one of the Jackson 5 in Paula Abdul's honor. The running man scenes are very well done and believable as a dystopian game show, with the entire world in an almost unsolvable and disastrous worldwide depression, Killain is effectively in charge and he knows it.
Abdul choreographed the scene this song is featured in.
*Jackie Jackson* and *Paula Abdul* began dating when she was hired to choreograph The Jacksons' _Torture_ video. They remained an item while she choreographed dance sequences for _Coming to America_ and _The Running Man_

@Laura Matsuda yeah, *Misery* was partially based on King's fear that his fans would dislike what he wrote outside of horror. *The Running Man* is probably my favorite Bachman book.
Apparently Paula Abdul had rights for the song and didn't want it to be realeased so hence why you can't find it. The only versions you will find are remixes.

i cant believe i finally found this. I searched youtube for years because i was so disappointed that this superb song is NOT on the original soundtrack CD. I searched everywhere but could only found broken versions with cut out voices and messed up and mixed audio tracks or soundpieces put together. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!

Loving how the melody in this track calls back to the dangerous, cool vibes of Thriller (which was still huge in the decade this movie came out) when the string pads come in, but is somehow still its own thing. I always love when musicians do this.

This is truly amazing. As a 39 year old I can say that Running Man was one of my favourite films as a young boy. I love Paula's theme and this version sounds so complete. Thank you very much. This version sounds like it came from a standard music cassette tape because it has that tape hiss and very minor dropouts which actually kind of adds to its charm.

I think the remake is supposed to be closer to the original book, so this track probably feel pretty out of place in that kind of setting
