It’s been more than 30 years since my father showed me and my brother this masterpiece. We would cheer for VanDamme against Chong Li and scream at every cool movement, and there were plenty of them. We would watch it every weekend, on Saturday afternoons of endless fun. These days helped us bond more than any other activity we would do together. We joined Karate classes and my brother showed incredible talent, even performing Van Damme’s leg split. This song literally brings tears to my eyes, because it reminds me of our childhood and the men we became. With all my heart I would like to thank all of the directors, producers, actors and musicians involved in the making of this film. You inspired us to be fighters. To fight to survive.
Absolutely brotha. This is my favorite movie of all - time. And with this masterpiece somg puts the cherry to the pie. All well rounded of a movie. One Sat evening 1988 going to the movie store with my parents and little brother and little sister of 6 1/2 years old. (Twins) . I was just 7 1/2 year old. We went to rent some movies. We rented like 2 movies and my dad and i chose this movie of Blood Sport. Then we went home amd all of us watched it in the livingroom while it waa getting dark night and eating popcorn and snacks. Since then this movie marked my life. I wanted to be fit and muscular and hit the gym when i grew up. This movie always inspired me since kid. This movie came guy in 1987, a year before i rented this movie. I would never forget this day. This movie and song brings gives me a lot of nostalgic of my childhood and the family moments time we had togehter. God Bless this actors and musicians. I love training in the gym and play piano. I remember doing push ups, high kicks, and splits on my carpet in front of the TV with this on, back in the day... by age 10, I convinced myself I was downright lethal, and ready to enter the kumite... 😅
"From 1975 to 1980, Frank W. Dux had 329 matches. He has retired undefeated as the Heavyweight class Kumite champion. He still holds records to this day. Quickest knockout: 32 seconds. Quickest punch in a knockout: 3.2 seconds. Fastest Kick in a knockout: 72 MPH. Total knockouts: 92. Dux established his own school of Ninjutsu in 1975, called "Dux Ryu Ninjutsu".
Dude I was born in 2004 as of now I’m 17 and all these movies and what’s considered ‘old’ and classic is everything to me,this song means so much more when you’ve seen the movie and connected to it
My father was a cop up until 1991 when he retired. He just turned 90 last month, he used to blast thiss album in our basement on our old pioneer turntable while working out after a night shifts. guy still goes to planet fitness and is an ox to this day, love you dad ❤️
I remember back in the early 90s one of my uncle's showing me this masterpiece for the very first time when I was 4 or 5. I'm 33 now and this has always remained as one of my favorite movies. I was that one kid who was asked what's your favorite movie at 5, 6, 7 while other girls said disney, etc I always said Bloodsport. Till this day, I still watch it. Never gets old! Music is awesome too :)
Favorite movie of all time. Amazing soundtrack. Loved this growing up as a kid practicing martial arts. Watching this was part of my ritual before competition till covid hit
This movie changed my life. I was a clumsy fat kid. I had always loved karate and ninja type movies, but this is the one that pushed me over the edge to join a Marti arts school. I made friends, got in shape, and gained confidence.
I was a kid in the 80s and loved this movie. Now in my 40s, I have a Playlist of songs like this from back then to get me through some my workouts. I have Lupus, and some days it's hard to keep up with my workout schedule. But this kind of stuff helps me push myself.
I literally just watched Bloodsport now for the 100th time since childhood, I remembered how I fell in love with this beautiful song...I still love after all these years coz of the memories of my late brother, we watched this movie together all the time using VCR
"Ok, USA!" "Arent you a little young for full contact? Arent you a little old for video games?" "I aint your pal, dickface!" "Whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?" "What the hell is a Dim Mak?" "You break my record, now i break you...like i break your friend!" "Very good...but brick not hit back!" "You....ARE NEXT!" "He's the american shithead who makes tricks with bricks!" So many classic quotes. One of those movies you can watch over and over again and never get tired of. Great music too!
Watched this with my older Brother growing up in the 90s. My Bro passed away too early, this song reminds me of better times with him. I play this song often to remember simpler times.
I looked forward to this gem of a movie every Saturday on TBS for about 6 years. An amazing run. Almost as amazing as Frank Dux's career record of 329-0.
I love this song and I love Bloodsport. I'm a huge Van Damme fan, and Bloodsport and Kickboxer are my favorite movies of his. Van Damme is my favorite martial artist.
I took up martial arts in Junior High school and my teacher famous quote was: If you don't see blood you didn't do you're job correctly..... That stuck with me my whole life and I live by that law till this day 🙌💪🙌
I watched bloodsport as a kid in the early 90s. I went on to become a blackbelt in Judo and was a heavy competitor in my 20s. 34 now and will cherish this lesson forever.

Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud. If you feel the need to convince youtube commenters that you're going to be successful, who are you really trying to convince? Yourself perhaps.
It's incredible how much value the soundtrack added to this movie, there's nothing quite like it. Paul Hertzog is a genius. It's a shame that few people are even familiar with his work.
I named my cat Jackson after him. The cat reached outside his cage and looked at us to say "You wanna take home a real big Cat?" and we did, and we did. He died after seven years with us and I still hear this song and think of him.
I’m 16 and I watched this movie and I’m honestly very inspired of what dedication it takes to train martial arts, it’s honestly baffling to me that people can call such hard work “fake”.
We call it fake the person whom this movie was based on was and is a total fraud. It's a great movie. Just don't believe that frank dux is actually a martial artist.

I'm 33 years old and i get excited like I've never seen the movie a day in my life! #kumite
Everytime at 0:01 😅
One of my favorite workout songs. Listening to this always gives me the motivation to do a extra rep or run a little further.
I was so amped up I threw salt in my eyes and attacked the refrigerator.
ROFL!
Ha ha yes
😂😂😂
Wow this song is amazing to make you do that I am excited about this song.
Lmao 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀
"From 1975 to 1980, Frank W. Dux had 329 matches. He has retired undefeated as the Heavyweight class Kumite champion. He still holds records to this day. Quickest knockout: 32 seconds. Quickest punch in a knockout: 3.2 seconds. Fastest Kick in a knockout: 72 MPH. Total knockouts: 92. Dux established his own school of Ninjutsu in 1975, called "Dux Ryu Ninjutsu".
Ferruccio Guicciardi bullshit
Do you believe in the tooth fairy as well?
Pizza hogger what I was getting at is you said it's based on frank dux, even though the guy has been proven to be a lying fraud, that's all
Ferruccio Guicciardi Frank Dux aka The Original fake news outlet
Crash Override Well technically, isn't Canada in America? America is a continent...
" You break my record, now I break you, like a break your friend"

“You break my record, now I break you, like I break your friend.”
-Chong Li
I remember back in the early 90s one of my uncle's showing me this masterpiece for the very first time when I was 4 or 5. I'm 33 now and this has always remained as one of my favorite movies. I was that one kid who was asked what's your favorite movie at 5, 6, 7 while other girls said disney, etc I always said Bloodsport. Till this day, I still watch it. Never gets old! Music is awesome too :)
Whenever I have doubts, I play this, amongst other classics. Life saver time and time again!
Favorite movie of all time. Amazing soundtrack. Loved this growing up as a kid practicing martial arts. Watching this was part of my ritual before competition till covid hit
God bless your soul child
It was a great movie, but it was big down for me when I found out it was all a big lie

This movie changed my life. I was a clumsy fat kid. I had always loved karate and ninja type movies, but this is the one that pushed me over the edge to join a Marti arts school. I made friends, got in shape, and gained confidence.

@@giovanniromano535 Same here! 😉 👊

I was a kid in the 80s and loved this movie. Now in my 40s, I have a Playlist of songs like this from back then to get me through some my workouts. I have Lupus, and some days it's hard to keep up with my workout schedule. But this kind of stuff helps me push myself.
This is for you, shidoshi.

Jackson! Jackson!
-wipes nose-
xXxTwiggy your picture makes this so much better
what a whiner. he was upset someone was better
The movie that inspired every fighting game ever
Metroid Whisperer It's a really cool movie but I'd have said Bruce Lee myself.
Mortals Kombat stage "The Pit" actually is inspired by this.
Samurai Shodown ?!
To be fair plot elements from this movie were from Enter the dragon
nope
that's moron combat movie 1
Stan Bush is CRIMINALLY underrated when talking about the best artists in the 80s. DUDE was the soundtrack to the movies of the 80s.
Yeah. He’s mostly known for his contributions to the 1986 Transformers movie.
"Ok, USA!"
"Arent you a little young for full contact?
Arent you a little old for video games?"
"I aint your pal, dickface!"
"Whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?"
"What the hell is a Dim Mak?"
"You break my record, now i break you...like i break your friend!"
"Very good...but brick not hit back!"
"You....ARE NEXT!"
"He's the american shithead who makes tricks with bricks!"
So many classic quotes. One of those movies you can watch over and over again and never get tired of. Great music too!

Happy 30th anniversary Bloodsport!
I was not born when the movie was in the cinema but i loved it and i will forever ❤
Watched this with my older Brother growing up in the 90s. My Bro passed away too early, this song reminds me of better times with him. I play this song often to remember simpler times.
Back in a time when arcade machines ruled!
I looked forward to this gem of a movie every Saturday on TBS for about 6 years. An amazing run. Almost as amazing as Frank Dux's career record of 329-0.
Except the real Dux is full of crap.
Frank Dux is a con artist. It's amazing story but not true at all.
😂
@@scottwilson1251Not,an exceptional martial artist
I love this song and I love Bloodsport. I'm a huge Van Damme fan, and Bloodsport and Kickboxer are my favorite movies of his. Van Damme is my favorite martial artist.
I took up martial arts in Junior High school and my teacher famous quote was:
If you don't see blood you didn't do you're job correctly.....
That stuck with me my whole life and I live by that law till this day 🙌💪🙌
I watched bloodsport as a kid in the early 90s. I went on to become a blackbelt in Judo and was a heavy competitor in my 20s. 34 now and will cherish this lesson forever.
Music is a natural medicine. It can make you stand up in many shitty situations (mentally speaking)! Not a magical pill but in most cases it's a great booster in order to "fight to survive"! ❤
That’s why there is a healing modality known as: “music therapy!”
…
🎼🧠💪🫁🫀✨
One of the best workout songs ever. It's up there with Hearts on Fire, Eye of the Tiger, Moment of Truth, You're the Best.
The entire soundtrack is nothing short of spectacular. On my own, another classic track by Stan Bush.
"Say it... say it... Mate !!!"
I still watch this movie once a year since I was a kid in the 90s.
This song sends chill up my back remembering me and my cousins watching this as little kids. Great song and great soundtrack.
That's it. I'm getting in shape.!!

Gotta love 80s action film soundtrack anthems , particularly those by Stan Bush. Awesome stuff.

Thank you for posting the word. I had to start it over so that I can sing along. Peace!!!
My son broke his femur he is only 10 years old he had to get a medal rod and 6 screws in his leg he didn’t believe he could walk again it’s been a emotional roller coaster for the family. But this song has been pushing him to the limit it’s amazing to see the power of this song helping him believe he can do it . This song , eye of the tiger, push it to the limit , etc it’s been a struggle but I no he will keep fighting
I was shadow wrestling earlier and this song in my head. I was fired up. I hope to become state champion in wrestling 1 day
You can't stop me. My motivation is my responsibility so blow me. I'll be a champ 1 day.
lefthookricky How about i'll just continue working my ass off for that title while you're here busy laughing at others behind the computer screen not getting shit done because in reality you're nothing better so keep doubting and failing while i keep working and winning. I bet its people like you who dropout of school, refuse to work, and cause working people to pay taxes because you're on welfare. Dreaming only keeps me succeeding so i work hard for it but you find it as a joke which shows you're weak-minded, futureless, lazy, and pathetic. I'm the lion and you're the sloth.
You become a champion when you achieve your own goals bro, don't listen to the rest of the people, the best you can do is good enough.
jacobygreenwood true
Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud. If you feel the need to convince youtube commenters that you're going to be successful, who are you really trying to convince? Yourself perhaps.
It's incredible how much value the soundtrack added to this movie, there's nothing quite like it. Paul Hertzog is a genius. It's a shame that few people are even familiar with his work.
this song is such an underrated ballad. Should be up there with eye if the tiger
Hell yeah very good movie and one of the best classics let's go in 2024!
Anyone get superpumped when they experience 80's soundtracks? Man I could run 10 miles right now punching the air.
JUST DO IT

“GO HOME!”
Yes! 😂
The big brother we all want
I named my cat Jackson after him.
The cat reached outside his cage and looked at us to say "You wanna take home a real big Cat?" and we did, and we did.
He died after seven years with us and I still hear this song and think of him.
Go Home to Mommy!!
Happy 35th you made my childhood as a man and warrior this generation isn't ready for these type of combat
1988 to 2024 is 36 years. 😂😂😂
My grand daddy had this on VHS Everytime I went to my grand parents house I would put this in and watch it.
I’m 16 and I watched this movie and I’m honestly very inspired of what dedication it takes to train martial arts, it’s honestly baffling to me that people can call such hard work “fake”.
It would help if the people these films are based on weren’t such total frauds themselves
We call it fake the person whom this movie was based on was and is a total fraud. It's a great movie. Just don't believe that frank dux is actually a martial artist.
Anybody else have this track on their gym playlist..... gets me going every time
Yes, I do!!!
Hell yes!
Ofc I do
Bout to start back again .. this there for sure!!!!
I can’t find it on ITunes!
Just saw this movie for the first time last night, and this song is everything!!! Added it to my workout song arsenal immediately! 💪💪💪
They don’t make movies like this anymore. The 80s/90s were truly a great time to be a movie fan.
