Not true. When 427 was launched in the Corvette it was rated at 450hp only later in the year was the rating lowered to 425hp. In fact that is where the 450hp decals came from or rather why they were originally produced. The out going 396 was rated at 425hp in the Corvette. No spec's changed just the advertised rating. Modern testing suggest the original rating were honest and later under rated. That is true of all solid lifter gen IV BBC's to '70, the W's we rated with header, so also over rated. The opposite is true of the solid lifter SBC's all but the 302's were over rated. Even with dyno header they wont hit they advertised ratings but approach the ballpark
Sadly all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
Well i live in Finland and it sucks a lot live here if you are petrolhead, goverment treats you like a criminal. Problem is not only private people suffer from this but also companies, my employer had 2 million euros loss because insanely expensive diesel. And i think its only getting worse because insane green people in Finlands goverment wants to be first being carbon neutral country in country where distances are long. Please Canada take me as refugee i promise work hard 😄
