Ford 351 Cleveland. Probably the best small block V-8 ever created. Huge valves and ports big enough to crawl around inside. For any engine the heads are where its at and the guys who designed the Cleveland heads created a masterpiece.
IMO not even close to Maserati V8 engine of that time.

My mother (RIP) had a doctor friend who owned a white Pantera (not the GT5). The doctor friend got in and fired it up for me. OMG what a sound from that engine. I thought he was running straight pipes at first. That has been my dream car ever since. On my Bucket List forever.

One day I was heading home on the school bus and a sleek Pantera passed the schoolbus accelerating with a loud growl that faded off into the distance. I only saw it for about 5 seconds but I can still remember the exact location where it passed, and how fast and low it seemed from the height of the school bus window. Since then I've always wanted to hop into one just like this!
Very cool find, Nick. A lot of enthusiasts like the original Pantera, but I prefer this one, with the wing and the fender flares. To me it just looks so much more muscular!

DtRockstar1 This is an original GT5, and the flares and wing are original for this version. It's also true old Pantera's were "updatet" with this look. Also tyres are the original sizes 345/15 rear and 285/15 front....happy it's nice to you!

When I was a kid, I saw it at the Mercury Dealership for 10,000 in 1972, Porsche 911Targa was 10,500 and my Mother bought an Audi for 5,500
My dad had two of these back in the mid 70s. They came with any color interior you wanted... as long as it was black! LOL

The Ford 351 Cleveland was a big block not a small block but some one had mentioned the heads yes and if you ported and polished them you even got a lot better flow one of the most dependable motors ford ever put out I had a 1972 pantera and it was a strong motor I’m hoping to get another one day but I only like the 1971 and 1972 didn’t care for the bumper change

We used to have this car but in yellow with a black strip at the bottom that said GTS. Had it till we wrapped it around a tree :( Strong and fast though as we both walked away. But the nose of the car was up to the dash board.
