The first overland dispersed camping trip of 2023 was a quick one out to Central Oregon in Deschutes National Forest. This is an area we've come back to a few times. The beautiful pines, rivers, and creeks throughout the area are perfect for a peaceful one night camping trip.

I have seen Winston use a Benchmade camp knife... I was wondering if you guys also bring a hatchet, axe, bow saw, and chainsaw on your outings? Or do you mainly bring store bought firewood?
We have all of the above 😄 I’ve got a small electric chainsaw, silky hand saw, and a splitting axe. In the winter, I usually stick to store bought because it’s hard to find non-soaked wood. We usually find leftover wood at campsites from previous campers too
