- As is tradition, we headed out to the eastern side of the cascades to hang with our pals @Western-Wild for Dylan's camping bday celebration. We enjoyed a lovely weekend hanging out at a beautiful lake, swimming, and relaxing.

After a few months of great weather last summer we went to this spot last labor day. Beautiful the first day and then it poured rain for 2 days. Great experience no complaints. Definitely will go back. Great video and the cooking segment is awesome.
Kim! Make a license plate shield! wire them together standing up. Then fold them up and just put them in the Coleman stove !
Or a bag to keep them rattling !

Cracking up at Kim’s chicken. I know the pain. We’ve had that experience when we stayed at a lake near there. Loud ATVs and people. Hopefully they quiet down at night for you. Also, aren’t their leeches in those lakes up there? 😬😬😬

Covering your fry pans w/ tin foil not only helps to cook the food alot faster, but keeps the splatter down. Great video !

@scaleoftwo Hey that’s my wife and I’s EXACT camping spot!! There’s three spots around that same lake, the one that’s across the lake from where you guys are is our favorite one, it’s a little less windy than the one you’re at. I hope you don’t tell everyone the spot, but just to confirm the lake you’re at the name starts with an L. There’s a lot more little lakes all through the trails up there. That’s our absolute favorite area to camp, glad you guys found it and get to enjoy it too, I hope people are keeping it clean my wife and I go through and clean all the spots up every time we’re there, it’s a super special place to us! ❤
We’ve stayed at the other spot before too (even made a video there last summer). The view isn’t as nice but the seclusion makes for a better experience. Didn’t find much trash on this trip fortunately, but these lakes have been discovered lately so there certainly are concerns about bad behavior getting them shut down. We keep it hush hush for that reason 😉

I remember when camping with my kids and they were loud and having a blast. Kids having fun and noisy I have no probed with them. ATV’s running at nigh piss me off
Totally. I don’t care about the kids running around, but they had entirely too many people at one camp site. Parked over brush with all of their stuff. It is what it is, we can’t really stop them, but hopefully people learn to cut this shit out

Yeah…ideally. But we’re out in the middle of the woods, and the last thing we wanna do is piss off a huge group of people by asking them to shut up haha

The neighbors thing is so frustrating. I sorta get letting the kids loose but that booming horrible music at 8am is the absolute fucking worst. What are the odds they left a pristine clean campsite when they were done?

Indeed we are. Haven’t done any projects on the cruiser, so no non-trip videos in the queue to fill the spots. We’ve got a trip planned here in a few weeks, and we’ll have a new video in the next month or so :)
