- Hello! As usual, it's been too long. We decided to leave our rain cave in Portland to head for the Coast Range and enjoy some much needed spring sun, it was a fantastic one nighter to get us back outside. Hope you enjoy the chill times.
We've got a new theme song for Kim's not very good outdoor cooking show thanks to our friend Elise for inspiring the song on our Mt. Rainier to Hood trip, as well as our buddy Ryan for making the theme! Goofy, and on brand for us.

Sadly I have to agree about not sharing spots, the more people go to them and trash them the more likely the forest service is to close off the area
OMGEEEEEEE!!! This made my night!!! WE were just looking the other day to see if you two had posted a new video. Kim, I have missed your goofiness so much. I am glad to see you two back adventuring!
Thanks Dawn! 😄
I always enjoy your videos! You don't need to have something to say - just taking us along on your adventures is enough. It inspires and motivates me to get out. Also, nice spot! ;-)
Appreciate ya!
so happy I found this channel! Please keep making more content! Its so great to see what feels like real experiences anyone can get into vs spending a gazillion dollars on all the things and making it your life. Im a big fan of the humor that cuts through your videos haha. Im definitely inspired to get out of the PDX area and go explore this summer because of you guys!
Hey, cheers! Glad we could bring some camping inspiration 😄
@@ScaleofTwo I can only hope I (or maybe I shouldnt) run into you two on the trail one of these days!
Was stoked to see a new video from you guys. I totally agree with not sharing camp spots, but I'm now on a mission to find that spot.
Happy hunting 🤙🏼
Seems like loads of work, it’s appreciated on this end! Cheers guys!!!
Yay you’re back!! I saw you two at a spelling bee a little bit ago but didn’t want to bother you. I was hoping you saw your stickers on my truck to know a fan was in the area lol!
Glad to see you are able to still get out there!
Maybe I’ll see you on Mt. Hood this summer!
What! You should have absolutely said hello. But you witnessed us totally bomb that spelling bee then 🤣 hopefully we see ya around!
Yes!! Been patiently waiting for a new video!
Hey, its great to see you back! Looking forward to see where you end up this summer. We need to go camping more in down Oregon Your channel is a great inspiration!
Great to see a new video from y’all. That camp spot is such a wonderful little gem. Last time I tried to camp there it was so trashed I had to go elsewhere. I took as much of the trash as I could fit but it seemed like it didn’t even make a dent. Looking forward to more videos!
Yep…did a tiny bit of clean up before we left, but can’t really take the bigger stuff. It is actually cleaner than the last time we were here though
@@ScaleofTwo that’s good to hear! Cheers!
Nice to see y’all out and about.
You are back! I have been wondering if you two were going to make anymore uploads to this channel. Glad to see it’s still up and running.
Happy to see a new video!! I feel your frustration with the good spots that get blown up on the socials but on the other hand I appreciate the ones I’ve found cause people like to share.
Absolutely nothing wrong with having leftovers for dinner camping, I just did that as well. Sometimes it’s fun to cook a meal and other times it’s great to just keep it simple and enjoy the time out there.
Happy to see you two again
Glad to see you guys are back at it. My wife I think guys would fun to camp with maybe on a meet and greet some day.
We did one two years ago at Overland Expo PNW, definitely need to get another one together
@@ScaleofTwo You guys put on together we will drive down from Washington to join in on the fun.
Hi. I've missed hanging out virtually with you two. Thanks for being mindful about sharing the great locations. I had great intentions of filming my adventures but when it came down to it I had better things to do while in the outdoors. So I get it. Just recently getting back out myself after having been grounded for the best part of a year. Adventure awaits! See you outside.
Good to see you guys back!
welcome back! i been waiting for new videos!
beautiful place!
I just recently got a 100 series Land Cruiser same color. :)
Great video! I’m guessing you can’t sit up inside the back of the landcruiser while you are sleeping. Everything is personal, but seems like it would bother me. Kim cracks me up.
Thanks Steve! And yeah, it definitely does bug me. Have strongly considered getting a pop top just for that reason, but overall the lack of headspace isn’t crazy uncomfortable, just a little annoying
Welcome back
Glad you’re back!! 🎉
Now the question is how long until we make another video 🤔
Glad to see you are back at it. Was wondering if you were giving up on the content thing. Excited to see your new adventures. CAMP on!
Just hibernating for the winter!
Digging your vids! Do you guys ever go fishing? Would love to see some catch and cook vibes 🤘
We really need to get out and do some fishing. Hopefully soon, cheers!
I feel we're all out outdoor enthusiasts but you also gotta get out explore, get lost and find your own piece of paradise. Take the less traveled trail and you will find where most won't dare to go. And remember you're not in the city so pick up your crap
COOOOOOOOPER SHIRT!!!!!!!!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
I thought ya was done camping and went fishing 🎣bro I would love to fish this spot
Would be a great one!
Yay!!
Hey man! Can i uh .... can i get those coordinates? 😅 On a serious note though, it's good to see y'all back on the internets.
Lol, always slightly tempted to just send coords to the Walmart parking lot. “It’s a great spot!”
Thanks Jeff! Sad we couldn’t make it up to Mule for their spring party, was hoping to finally meet y’all in person
@@ScaleofTwo y'all gonna be at Expo PNW this year? Maybe we'll see you there
Every trail and every campsite in every region of Oregon is already known.
People simply have to look, for themselves. There's not much in the Coast Range but even the location of the three teeny hidden lakes is published somewhere, on good 'ol paper. Hiking up to them is a different story (Saddle Mountain is still closed, they're repopulating the butterflies).
The irony is that even without asking where to go, one merely has to walk outside where they are quite literally anywhere in Oregon at to be pretty much just an arm's reach from an outdoor or even wilderness adventure.
People don't publish the locations of the lava tubes in Portland for the same reasons - and even more so, lots of people get hurt so the only way to find one is to know someone who already knows which means they know where the safe spots are. Actual tourists are rarely able to find them again, even with GPS pins lol
with all that noise of rushing water...I think I would be getting up to pee alot in the night ..lol
Absolutely
That spot looks like a perfect spot for my kid to play in the water! Can I ask what part of the coast this is by? Keep up the amazing work.
My guess is it's by a river at the coast but I'm not going to say which river because I agree with Winston no sharing spots on the internets LOL
Someone didn’t watch the whole video 😁 I promise you can find it, go check out our campsite finding video
We feel the same about not sharing the hard earned camping sites that we find. The enjoyment of camping also includes the hunt for locations to camp. I feel that those who are too lazy to go look for a spot and just want to mooch off of those who did the time and effort are trolls.
The whole point in getting outside is to explore and find places that you want to spend time at. You can't do that if all you do is rely on others to mooch off of. People need to stop asking/demanding and get off their butts and the internet and get outside and find their own camp sites. It's not a hard thing to do.
I can sometimes understand that some people don’t have the luxury of spending hours driving around the forest like we do, but there are tons of ways to find good spots to camp without a bunch of driving around. Might not always be the best spots, but you’ll definitely find good ones scrolling around on maps. Just gotta put in a little effort 🤷♂️
@@ScaleofTwo Totally. All one has to do is look at Google Earth and then plot a course.
We also use Gaia GPS app and along with Google Earth we are able to look for possible places to explore to find potential camping spots.
And doing just that we've found some epic places that we come back to almost every year.
If you two decide to quit the camping videos, you Must stay online in some capacity; Kim is a natural born comedian, and Winston's big booming voice is perfect for voice-overs or narration. You are both very clever and likable. I do not watch TV, nor do I own one, and it is because TV personalities are hyperactive, phony buffoons.
Really appreciate the kind words! We’re sticking around these parts for sure
Making videos is hard, boring and tedious work. Make it easy by bringing the camera, setting it up in one place and doin yo thang. Then post with minimal editing. You dont have to talk to the camera. the best parts of this video were the sounds and views of the river and camp site. and Cooper is very photogenic
