@mactics just a heads up 3 phase only gives platinum if you've run the entire gauntlet, if it's a cp it does not give the highscore this is caused by a bug that adds the score from the entire rest of the run.
Love the video. Great advice all around. Here’s some advice that helped me and my team.
Advice that helped my team. Try to stick together near the edge of the arena and train both rhulks by going around the edge of the arena in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. Similar to training zombies in cod back in the day. The dunkers will be the wild card here as they will get targeted by both rhulks so try to shoot both rhulks to take their agro away from the dunkers/callers.
If time is becoming an issue here’s some advice 1) on the final pair of dunks before going up the stairs try to have the last splitter/buff holder with leeching force get emanating and dunk with the final dunker.
2) On the dunks that are required to create weak points on rhulk try to have 2 dunkers instead of one and operate in a ping pong motion as one dunker gets first and third then other dunker gets second and fourth dunks.
3) Lastly while the dunkers do their thing everyone else run snipers like Izzy or succession to swiftly take out the weak points to start dmg as fast as possible. (To often will people just run and do nothing instead of shooting them).
Wells can be used like a “safe point” for example place one by L1 and the other by R2. When rhulk or the shadow get close run to the other safe point. Just try to not stay near the sword or for two long especially when getting kicked by the shadow will throw you off your momentum.
Lastly I recommend stuff like linears or thunder lord as it’s just easier to hit shots as this boss will rubberband causing rockets to miss.
Also for the love of god run triple surge mods (that match the element of your heavy and special weapon) on your boots for a free 22% dmg buff that stacks with well and lumina when picking up and orb. I recommend having a dmg loadout and a loadout for general survival I usually create the same loadout just with different mod setup as changing a fragment or aspect on the subclass nukes ability energy and swapping heavy nukes ammo.
If you need ammo scout, scavs, and finders mods paired with an exotic primary like sun shot or trinity, aeons, special finisher, and cenotaph are your best friends.

Insanely difficult to pull off. So much so you’re better off trying to do legit instead of wiping because the cheese isn’t being pulled off

I think it is too precise to be practical. We spent at least an hour of our maybe 8 hrs of being in rhulk trying to get him off the edge, but weren't able to get a clear or cheese him.
Instead of a well you should try a bubble because it gives a roaming damage buff so you only need to step in it twice during damage

After trying your lfg in your discord as well as using 9 other servers I can say that unless you’re super experienced with current raids and have done every encounter of pantheon platinum you will never find anyone willing to teach or help you. If you don’t have time normally to play because of work like myself then you’re never going to be able to experience a raid again. after my experience today in every lfg I’ve joined across 5 hours I can say I will not be playing destiny anymore..
I'm actually starting to feel the same. I'm in a clan but they just run Pantheon once, so I have to PUG, but it's hard to find 🤷.

I was in an lfg in ur server a week or two ago and told someone to go copy ur nighthawk load out cuz he was asking if his fragments and stuff were good and he was like “who’s mactics?”😭
Maybe when ur playing a screen scroller like mario… this game is so full of numbers and data points that people spend weeks figuring out which weapon and roll of said weapon of a single weapon type of a single weapon slot is the best. Then you have to grind out hours and dozens of rolls finding the best one if you want that edge in your gameplay. Also the way the game is designed make it so only a few things are good at a given point. Not knowing the meta is basically wasting a shit ton of time throwing yourself at a brick wall and becoming frustrated. I can see your point for simply figuring out a raid’s mechanics with knowledge of meta but then again that takes hours and most people don’t have the free time or just don’t want to do that. I would rather be taught to do a raid then learn it. Then again I ran through zero hour and figured it out by myself because it was fun to do that for me. People enjoy different things and others are limited to only so much free time. Wrong game to make that complaint.

I just need to do raids going forward with the randoms because week one and two weren’t bad and I met a lot of good ppl who were beginners trying this. This week you NEED a great team and coms have to be on point. Gg’s to those who complete this week I ain’t gonna make it 😂😂
Na if u got week 1 and week 2 u can do it, just leave if u get ass lfgs, once u get past planets its free

My team did was we had 1 wellock (me) and I place my well right where rhulk was and kept circling around him keeping him still while the rest of my fireteam beamed tf outta him with rockets, I used a tlord while circling so I could atleast do some damage while keeping him still. One of our guys was babysitting the other rhulk and did a great job of keeping him off of us
I really really can not suggest Wrathweavers Warlocks any more than is have
Constant up time on at least a times two Stasis Surge, plus any surges you already have. Times 4 stasis surge upon casting your Winters Wrath, and once the Winters Wrath ends, you yourself get the times 4 after.
The issue though, is that you have to use a relatively bad super during damage phase, despite the damage buff it gets, along with the fact that during the super you can use a support weapon, meaning someone also needs to sacrifice there own damage for a Divinity/Tractor Cannon.
Still though. Granting a Times 4 stasis surge to ALL OF YOUR TEAMATES is insanely good.
We had a lot of luck putting Hunters on Star Eater Golden Gun, with the additional orbs everyone was able to get two Supers per damage phase.
I tried using cloudstrike on golgy this week, and was keeping up with celestial hunters in my fireteam, but this was not the most optimized of teams. I’d love to see how it holds up against things like reed’s.
Also, isn’t fire and forget still lacklustre even when compared to a b&s cataclysmic? Does the surge push it up to actually be better for once?
u can also use typhlon or wendigo if you have good rolls

Man, i want that emblem and conditional, but having not done most of these encounters yet (Only done Golg, Oryx in D1, caretaker and Rhulk) i don't believe it's possible for me to do this, great video none the less

Yea it’s really not too bad don’t be discouraged you just gotta find a group with the right vibe. Social anxiety aside people shoudl get out there and get raiding. No one really cares if you’re not good at first. If they get upset, they should find a dedicated team.
On rhulk u can 2 fase easy with 5 or 6 thundercrach titan and wendigo, well is not necesary, and each one on te team should be on each side of the room, 2 stay on the stairs

I never did rhulk at all and tbh one of tbe ppl on my team gets kinda heated if certain activities take a bit do idk if I will even do it. Conditional finality is tempting but I said before pantheon isn't for me and I don't wanna force myself to do something I don't like

Find a group that's checking raid reports. It's not that hard with a competent FT
LFG has actually been fine, if you yourself are a diamond/high platinum and can attract similar calibre players (checking raid report to be sure).
Tbh I feel like a real cunt tho if I go “checking raid report” but tbh might need to. I have a few duo fresh raids and all trios and a trio flawless so finding around the same players is quite hard
So does the timer for encounters only matter for getting the adept weapon and not plat score?
I'm actually curious if Wardcliff Coil would be good for Rhulk damage with Arc surge?
@MacticsG1 2 things after watching ur video. The first being I did a 3 phase run and never got the high score for the triumph. Rhulk gave 0 pts upon death. The second being I ran Div in a well with both rhulks kicking the crap out of me and as long as no one else was in my well I survived for the full 30 secs with 1 concussive and 1 melee resist. Not sure what is happening with both of those
1.The score thing is a bug, this exact thing happened to my team on planets and we had to reset which is unfortunate
2. I think that would be the ONLY case you go with well, to div and distract the second rhulk

On planets for the ppl running izzy rockets how do you kill the yellow bar to get planetary alignment fast enough?
indebted kindness makes him finishable in like 4-5 shots. its not mach-5, but its safe, easy and reliable kill. double special probably means u need a ammo finisher
@@Mr.Weirich yeah I've been using indebted kindness n final warning , I have my doubts ABT being able to proc special finisher if I'm running indebted and Izzy, tho the purple shield guys should be enough
Take note everyone: This is one of the ways Bungie is gonna nerf Well. Not only will it be getting a direct nerf in some form, but there's gonna be encounters designed where Well is just a bad idea.

Can you get a high score in planets without beating it during the timer and killing or do we have to at least kill tormentors
Blind nade the Tormentor during planets. The Dares of Eternity GL is great for Planets
From what Ive seen and heard you need to kill within the timer which is a 2 phase.
All 3 weeks my group skipped tormentors and got platinum, only bosses we kill tormentor was atraks & rhulk

Yeah non precision is honestly better cuz you can do max damage even if the gaze holder's aren't in correct position. Whisper and linears just have better ammo economy for it though as it is a long damage phase.

You can finish week 1 and speak to arcite at the end of Atraks and I believe he has his full inventory there since you’ve completed the quest.

@@BeatsByShadow kudos for doing rhulk again haha, definitely not queuing up to do it again myself without a good team. I did have a guy in one group do exactly that tho, talk to arcite at the end of atraks sovereign after forgetting to do it at the end of rhulk and he was able to complete the quest and get all the new exotic options too, I think you’d have been fine

could get in the way of your team, and I think strand hits harder. but if you have to I suppose it works.
Just use well. You can tank hits from the shadow/2nd rhulk while in the well and you're spawning orbs for you're teammates to activate surge leg mods. The reason he isn't suggesting well is because people end up just sitting in it and not moving which leads to deaths, but it is actually super helpful to just spawn orbs and if you do take a hit from rhulk being able to hop in the well to regen health is a huge plus. Just don't get married to the well like every other boss and you are good.
Wait how do you reach platinum if the timer runs out?
The timer only gives you a bunch of points for completing the encounter in that threshold. Apparently, this week's enemies give out enough points due to the power differential, that it is not necessary to do any encounter before the bonus points timer runs out.
Not true, you can only 3 phase this boss and get the highscore if it's a full run, if it's a cp you won't get the bonus score everyone is getting from the boss to get the highscore triumph.

Great video Mac! A guy on my team was topping the damage charts using cuirass t crash and swapping to actium with thunder lord, with a div it makes rhulk super easy long as you stay alive ofc

YOU CAN THREE PHASE RUN OUTA TIME, and still hit highscore triumph, cuz its the ending encounter of the entire pantheon

How are you getting over 100k damage per shot with whisper against Oryx? The most I can seem to get is around 65k damage per shot. Thanks for another banger vid!
3x class warfare, 3 surges, tractor debuff, artifact based buffs, well buff (the biggest thing most people tend to not use is tractor or upkeep class warfare)

It seems to be bugged. Doing the Rhulk kill from a checkpoint DID NOT give me the Platinum triumph tick.
Rhulk's clear gives the entire run's score as a bonus on your actual score.
Btw for more heavy ammo, swap to an extra chest piece with 3 of your heavy's elemental reserve mods before grabbing Rally banner and swap back to your main chest after rallying, you will keep the ammo. For Oryx, Whisper damage with solar surge went pretty well with that trick, at least if your all running whisper. You can do it for other boss's and weapons as well.

yeah i agree with some things but my team got it done by doing alot of what you said not to do lol. so proves your first point. alot of debate about whats best here but if you just use some good dps weapons that match the surge this week and stay alive really doesnt matter exactly what you use and dont use just keep both rhulks in FoV best you can. always move around and between the two and rotate around the edge facing inward all the time. concussive dampener is your friend.

Well works fine. Just have to have someone bait the baby rhulk during dps so you don't get double kicked in the well.
Just a heads up, a three phase kill does not guarantee the triumph. I did a three phase kill and didn’t get it. I believe if you take a break and load back into a Rhulk checkpoint I believe you get less points.
I did the whole panteon in platinum except rhulk, we rest and only did rhulk tye next day in platinum, we got the triumph 😉👍
