I will explain it from the perspective of a master guitarist that actually plays also flamenco, with the electric guitar technique I could play any solo from any guitarist no matter how fast or hard, I just need to study the solo and practice it and in a month or two depending the difficulty I could do it, now with flamenco solos specially Paco de Lucia technique I could study the song and practice during 6 month and still I can't reach his speed and cleaning sound, is because of this guy I started to get into flamenco, I had nothing to do or Prove to my self or no one else with the electric guitar so I got into flamenco, in the words of my master when I asked him to teach me flamenco, "you are on your own, in the world of the guitar the Flamencos are on top and all of us come down from there". Paco de Lucia is the best guitar player on history, behind him there's couple names and yes those are electric guitar players. No more comments.

It is, indeed. Classical players love instruments with a spruce top and narrower neck, Flamenco players prefer guitars with cipress (juniper?) top and wider neck, with lower action.
