Does not work properly with new versions of android on my NVIDIA shield and shield pro. You can map the button to plex, click it, and it opens plex. But then when you back out of plex by hitting the back button it opens up Netflix then you have to wait for Netflix to load and back out of that.
Nice attempt but an ultimate fail...

This works some of the times. I remapped the netflix button to mute whatever I'm watching since there's no mute button and it works but if you press volume down or volume up right before you hit the button it takes you right back to Netflix which is annoying. It does work the rest of the time though so thank you for the video. It just annoys me when even remapped it still defaults to Netflix even though I assigned all 3 actions (single,double press and long press to do mute) lol...

Same problem happening here. I don't have the volume button mapped, just the three optional ways to press the Netflix button to open other apps. Half the time it opens Netflix.

I agree with comments below that there are issues with the single tap however it is resolvable🙂 Open Button Mapper then Troubleshooting. Toggle Alternate button handing. That's all it took to resolve the issue for me. Good luck all!!

can this be used to make the volume control the kodi volume? (PRO would be ok, it would basically turn the volume buttons into buttons that could be assigned inside keymap addon)

Is it possible to add the colored buttons that are available on a regular remote - the red, green, yellow and blue. Some apps require them to control stuff.

I tried map button apps and change the settings of the button. Nothing worked.
I pulled the batteries out and put a drop of gorilla glue and let it seep down between the plastic case and the Netflix button and wah lah no more Netflix button.

Not really sure wtf is going on for me. second and third action works well, but if I just press the button, it now mutes sound and then switches to netflix. This is with just one press...
