    When he discusses air guns getting under your skin, I confess I must agree. I'm a US citizen, living in a very free state. I have enjoyed shooting and firearms since a young age. I've also had air guns of some type since age 10, but I never found airguns remotely as interesting as actual firearms. That all changed with the 2020 ammunition shortage. (I scored 1000 rounds of .455 in December 2021, the only pistol rounds available in bulk)
    My 13 year old and I fell in love with co2 revolvers, especially those with pellet and bb shells! Now that the ammunition shortages have abated, we both still love shooting our airguns, even though we have the luxury of shooting safely on our humble home range whenever we choose.

      Same here airguns have come a long way, many great options now, I’m also planning to get a Gamo Magnum very impressive air rifle.

    Sorry Andy, but that's an 1875 Remington not a Colt SAA and I just got me an NGT last week, and agree on the quality and attn to detail as well as being a good shooter, what more could you want from a Co2 replica?. Having the rifled barrel and using pellets is the biggest plus as I don't like or use BB guns for various reasons, horses for courses as they say.

    I own an 'older' version of this in BB. I say 'older', because mine has no safety on it, whereas the newer versions do. I have a video of me using my BB version (non-rifled) hitting a pop can out at 75 ft. Unfortunately, the camera battery died when I did my 125 ft shot.
    I have purchased a reproduction pre-WW2 holster for it too.
    I also want to add that these are also available in a nickel plated version.

    Hi Andy perhaps you should have said the the barrel is only part rifled. It has got a reduced length rifled inner barrel ! It's supposed to have a 4 & 1/32" overall length but it's got a section that's rifled that's only 2 17/32" and the rest (1½") is made up with an aluminium 6mm smoothbore airsoft barrel. This is obviously a cost cutting exercise by the manufacturer and prospective purchasers should be made aware of this.

    A 1911 wasn't my first want. Indeed, 5 pistols in, and I still haven't got one.
    My first replica choice was a Colt SAA (which I've now got), and my big want (but sadly, I don't believe they do one) is a Browning Hi-Power.

    I had one of the first ones with smooth bore I thought it was one of the most realistic co2 revolvers I have ever seen the only problem that I found with it was when shooting it it was just to lowed to use in the house sold it in the end and got an airsoft TANAKA S&W J frame much quieter to use in the house but I still miss the Nagant .

    Really do appreciate your detailed videos! So much so, that I have acquired several of the Co2 pistols on which you’ve reported. Most recently, the Gletcher NGT. As a former Old West reenactor, I’ve long loved the classic single action revolvers of that era. Still, once I received, & began to use this sweet, little double action piece, it quickly became my “go to”, for plinking cans! Unfortunately, within a month of ownership/cautious use, it seems to have a definite problem. When inserting a new Co2 canister, it no longer seals, & the gas leaks out, allowing me just only about 7 rnds, before completely draining of air. Any legitimate thoughts/suggestions on repairing this issue will be most gratefully appreciated! Best to you, & thanks much!

    Andy a quick note i nearly bought this but looked down the barrel and to my suprise another short 2 - 2.5" riflled section with the rest of the barrrel being a 6mm alumium spacer, this does nothing for the accuracy, really its time that companies stoped advertising this as a "riffled barrel" everything else was great, this really spoils what should be a really great replica, at leats umerex have not so far followed this patern, thank small mercies.
    Did you also find that yours had the same spacer. if we could source a full length barel to replace this spacer, i would buy it and pay extra for the barrel but this does not seem to be an option. would really apreciate your thoughts on this

    In my last post I said how much I loved this gun and I have finally got another one a silver rifled barrel on not cheap over £220 but I was happy with it until a pellet got jammed in the barrel so I had to take it apart only to find that this so called rifled barrel is not 4 " long as I had thought it is in fact less than 2.5 inches the rest is a 6mm alloy tube to call it a rifled barrel is a joke it would have been nice if Andy had told it like it is then I could have saved some money and got a smooth barrel one and got someone to put a proper full length barrel in it.

    • @biggusdickus5986
      @biggusdickus5986 2 роки тому

      Yep that's in a lot of guns including Umarex, states rifled barrel but in only a quarter of the length. Should be made to state only 2.5 inches of rifling.
