Thanks Rodney! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I started working at an LCS more than 10 years ago, but that was here in the flyover, so it’s the equivalent of 30 years or so! 🤣
I’ve been collecting for 40 years. You def know your stuff and are direct with the specs. No nonsense and real talk. Great work. You might want to consider running a guest appearance interviews, bin hunting tips, grading tips, etc for additional content.
Thank you for the kind words! I’ve been really good about hopping on other channels lately (literally just got off a livestream over on Swagglehaus’ channel as I type this), but need to get back in the habit of hosting some streams again. I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching!
Karl urbans Dredd was very underated. Jonah Hex was a great book until they started treating him as a time traveling member of the DC universe. They did a few really good vertigo mini serves.
Thanks much for this Drew. My two sons (9, 11) and I just started collecting over the summer. I collected and sold my comics repeatedly growing up, and it's nice to share this with my children. I learned a lot from this video!

Not only show your videos a deep inside into the market and knowledge and love for the subject it also sends out the most important message : Buy the comics you love and collect responsible not spending all your hard earned cash on it. 👍👍🙂
Thanks ZeDoc! Unfortunately, real life is to come first! You can’t take care of your books properly if you spend the rent money on spec books and get evicted! Pay bills, buy groceries, get comics.
Skiro! Welcome to the channel! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! The Comics To Invest In series is a quarterly series, but we supplement it with budget oriented videos in between! I just uploaded my 100th video, so there is a bit of content available for you if you choose to dive in! Welcome once again!
I believe I saw ya at KC Planet Con? I was the fella snagging the tales from the crypt 42 lol. And I can't remember which vendor i was at ha. Subscribed to your channel. Keep up the solid content.
Good list of interesting books! I totally agree on each level’s books feeling like the prior level used to feel. Marvel Silver Age keys feel exactly how Golden Age books felt to me 30 years ago.
Spec I would add, any silver with doom in it. Many great doom covers such as fantastic four 39 and Avengers 25. I think Marvel has the potential to make Doom the awesome character he is. I was thinking of snagging a DD38 and Daredevil 39 from elite comics today, and didn't pull the trigger. Thor 182 and 183, and also Sub-Mariner 48- all sweet Doctor Doom covers.
These videos are the greatest. I really mean that. I'd totally forgotten about Destroyer Duck, actually missed out on a really nice copy of #1 for $25 a few months back (it was that or a conspicuously good copy of Avengers #134 so like always I chose Avengers lol). Ah, well.
Fun list me friend I had a few if those back in the day love that Destroyer Duck got to meet Aragonies when he came to our conic book store back when Groo #1 came out. He was a super fun guy very smart and funny. Have you heard who is doing the Groo show? Me think that would be a fun one.
Strawberry Shortcake! Did they ever do a scratch and sniff comic? If not, that was a missed opportunity. I rather enjoy how you can still smell the toys before you see them (in some instances) while toy hunting today!
Thanks Sidney! Nothing too special this week. A clip from The Illuminati stream last week about some record sales prices. Back at it again next week though!
are the 2020 hit parade worth a try? I open football cards so i understand risk but some products its easier and cheaper to just buy what you are chasing.
Thanks again. Sold my hulk 9.4. Replaced it with 7.0. Sold my all star western 9.8. I want 2000ad. Only 3 on cgc census. I have a lead im gonna follow.
Great list Drew ! Loved seeing that 2000AD in there (harder to get it with the free gift though) another good book is issue 228 with the first appearance of Rogue Trooper and a great cover with him on it (a cheaper alternative is 216 with a killer Dave Gibbons pin up on the back) Thanks again 👍
@@CoMoComicBooks Ha .. you're so right !! stickers are always great 😃 only dipping my toe into the 2000AD waters tbh, thanks for the great videos - have a great week👍

Good video! I always seem to learn a little something watching your videos. You always give good advice. I’m cleaning up my collection now so I can get the book that I want before it gets too expensive! And now I’m going to go see what printing of Batman 423 I have!

For me, I wouldn’t stray too far from Miles’ earliest appearance if you’re looking for investments. UF4 or UCS1 would be my suggestions. If the 1st prints are outside of your budget, the 2nd printings of UF4 are still desirable and more affordable.
All Star Western # 10 is one of my prize possessions. One of the first comics I ever submitted for grading. Jonah Hex is one of my favorite characters and I hope he gets revived again. The movie was disappointing.
Thank you so much for the knowledge. I love it when I have books on your list and one of my prized possessions that I inherited from my uncle is my destroyer duck number one that I had graded and came back a 9.8. only 120 of them on census you would think the book would be worth a lot more. Great list drew all great books Especially love the all star western 10 really cool book and great character Would also recommend star spangled war 151 and 154 grab them while I can also great covers and great character that would easily translate to the big or small screen
I’m a Haunted Tank fan, some great covers, but Unknown Soldier is pretty awesome as well! Sgt Rock’s early appearances are KILLERS though. Tough to find and hard on the pocketbook!
DC books being considered undervalued is only because Marvel is adding value to their books with successful movies and tv shows. Because one side is doing it better than the other doesn't mean DC books should have more perceived value.
I think the law of averages is at play here. Sooner or later WB will get something DC right and everyone is just hoping to have backed that horse when the time comes.
