I’ve been watching this Chanel religiously and through this Chanel alone it’s helped me get out of a bad place and back into guitar which I hadn’t played in years. I’ve never commented on UA-cam or even made an account before until i watched this video! Moving words and I hope you stay on that path your on 💪
This deserves a lot more views than it has. Probably the best Anderton's content ever. Fantastic musicianship and what a honest, no bullshit, bloke. This will become an interview that people speak about in years to come. Great song at the start as well. Check out Dom's music he truly is great.
Great interview with a very humble fella. I had never heard of Dom until I seen him supporting Eric Gales and he held his own pretty damn well considering who he was up against. Definitely recommend going to see him if you get the chance.
I've seen Dom live half a dozen times in and around my native Belfast. Whether it is a solo acoustic gig or Dom and his band the audience are in for a memorable treat....he is an exceptional musician and a hell of nice guy. Make an effort to catch him on tour.
What a brilliant hour that was! Fantastic conversation with a mega talented and inspiring musician. Dom Martin is new to me, but I'll definitely be looking out for him from now on!
Wonderful to see Dom on Andertons! I interviewed Dom last year, a very open, honest, genuine guy and what a talent too! He has a very bright future ahead of him!
Wonderful interview, thank you Dom! Also a comment about basic guitar into wonderful equipment is exactly after 30 yrs the way i went. That is where the sh lies.
What a lovely chap Dom is open and honest about is past and just like Rory he just loves doing what he does such a pleasure to listen to him and how he keeps it simple just like Rory did rocked up with his guitar plugged in and away he went.
Brilliant interview. I have followed Dom for a few years now and he is an exceptional musician and obviously and wonderful human being. I just wish he would tour Australia.
Brilliant! I was wondering when this was going to happen. Dom deserves all the accolades-seen him 3 times now as part of The Underground Music Club and every time he's better than the last.
I've seen Dom live twice now, so once on his solo tour and again with his band. Both times absolutely superb! If anyone gets a chance to see him do not pass it up. He's destined for big things.
Didn't know who this cat was and was skeptical but now he has a new fan! thanks Cap for the great interview! Awesome! I love finding new talent to enjoy! Loved the jam at the end!!!
Brilliant. Intersting guy with a story to tell. I’ll be buying that opening track if it’s getting released. Great sound, great performance, great voice. Somewhere between Robert Johnson, Nick Cave, Melanie de Biasio, Tom Waits.
I broke my femur in 5 places. The pain was never ending, excruciating and impossible to ignore. Because I was immobile, I decided to figure out the electric guitar. What I learned was amazing. While I played, the pain subsided and the longer I played, the longer I could go without pain. My guitar ended up saving my life.
Perhaps not entirely my cup of tea musically, but he seems like a very cool dude to hang around and learn from! And what great tones he makes, and what a vocal!
I’ve seen Dom live, 2 more gigs booked. He’s the real deal! Have a listen to his wonderful beautiful albums too. Great honest interview. Thanks to all involved especially Dom
Hi Dom! Great melody, great voice. Hey Lee thanks for introducing many of us to some new music. I'm often sorry I wasn't born and raised in Europe. Such a wide variety of musical tastes there. So many acts with styles we would consider,,, (retro) in the US. Nice outro jam. Great tone Dom from that tele.
This man is an open, honest humble human being with tones of talent!!! God bless him and you for bringing him to your channel bringing him to the attention of your audience. I pray he has great success!! 🙏🏻❤️
What a brilliant interview. Never heard of Dom before. But damn this guy is incredibly transparent without looking like a woe is me. He's had hardships and is so strong through it. Amazing way to show creative arts. You have a new fan from Australia mate
Real Life. Great to hear his story. It is a great service Dom had done here. His honest interview is powerful, and if it helps one person that's cool. Respect.
Great guitarist but more importantly a great human being👍His love of Rory, his gear and life in general is very refreshing no look at my 59 Les Paul just this is what I need to make my sound and that's it 👋👋👋 Absolute class act and definitely the captains best interview yet 👍(Although I loved his Mick Thomson interview just because he looked so uncomfortable beside Mick 🤣🤣🤣)
It's so funny to see an Irish guy talking about his life in such an open way and an English man being a little bit unconfortable with that kind of intimacy. Good for the Captain anyways... And BTW that guy plays really good.
Wth is that above the Tumnus- a tin of sardines? What capt. said about pickup changes is so right- it doesn't make the huge difference ppl think it's going to make. And this idea that ceramic doesn't sound as good as alnico is b.s.- I have a Strat with Alnico Vs in it- bought an Ibanez with ceramics in it, the Ibanez sounds better. And I wasn't expecting that at all- I thought I would just use it for heavier stuff- turns out it sounds better playing clean than the Classic Vibe Strat does.
Guys!!! Remember the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. He got clean and sober and was playing and singing better than ever before. Let us not forget Nirvana and the boring drug induced repetitive music and lyrics. Rest in peace Kurt. Some will curse me for my comment on Nirvana but for me I think their songs mostly suck. But that's me. Many love their music. If I hear it come on the radio I just exercise my freedom of choice and change the station. Another real tragedy was Chester Bennington. Great voice! great music. So sad that he didn't escape the trap of his past. RIP Chester. Dom your story is of a great success. Never give up. There are very many people who find that something in a song that touches their soul and helps them hold on. To find a way forward.
Music is able to replace alcohol, at least that's my experience. Like alcohol, it's a shortcut to emotion, to a certain layer in your consciousness. But better and less destructive.
Great interview. Not a fan of the highly processed acoustic sound like that , which kind of ruins the sound of a nice guitar to me. Too much reverb and chorus(?) going on. Very Luka Bloom. Maybe sounds better in room I guess as Lee was impressed.
...never heard of him.....sure he's Irish? His guitar playing sounds American and his singing voice sounds American? NOW I would have heard of him, if I had watched this recent Anderton's video interview, which I watch every time a new interview is uploaded) 2 weeks ago................
Fair play to this guy for being so open, honest and vulnerable. Good luck to him. Great interview, and he can play.

I saw Dom solo at a small gig of 60 people 2 years ago and he blew me away. What a great interview, it's refreshing to see such sincerity

Great interview and spoken from the heart. Keep up the great work Dom and see you in the summer!
Absolutely wonderful interview 👏👏👏👍

This might be the best interview I've seen by Lee and maybe by almost anyone. What a delightful and open dude.
Best Lee interview ever? Why?
Definitely best acoustic tone I've heard on this Chanel.
Brilliant interview. I have followed Dom for a few years now and he is an exceptional musician and obviously and wonderful human being. I just wish he would tour Australia.
He is also half Australian, it’s on our list 😊
What a great guy Dom is! I saw him support Eric Gayles a couple years back and was blown away 🙌
Brilliant! I was wondering when this was going to happen. Dom deserves all the accolades-seen him 3 times now as part of The Underground Music Club and every time he's better than the last.
This was fantastic, Dom was so frank and open, he's a terrific singer/songwriter and guitarist and his latest album is amazing, buy it folks 🎸😄

My Super Talented Friend..Love listening to you play. Wishing you continued success, 🤘🎶❤️💚🎸
I don't say much on the internet! The best interview I saw and in years! Completely open and honest! Awesome! Thank you! Love what you all do!
Something really different . . and that certainly was! Excellent dynamics Dom has! Really enjoyed this interview and his music too!
what an amazing guy.... fantastic musician... better human being... will be waiting here in the US for that tour....
Lovely lad. Got a similar background to Dom, music also saved my life.
Saw this guy at the Rory Gallagher festival at Wijk aan Zee. Awesome
Beyond excellent show. Worth buying from Andertons just so they keep coming.
How does this have so little views? Best interview yet
Fantastic interview, music, and that plugged in sound is amazing!
Great interview, saw Dom supporting Eric Gales a couple of years ago and loved his set. Looking forward to seeing him in Dublin in November
Brilliant interview!
Fantastic interview. Big Rory fan and this guys stuff is killer, thanks for showcasing new artists.
Love the interview and the new track...

I hadn’t come across Dom but what an awesome dude. Hope he tours in the north east England.
He’s playing acoustic at the Cluny 2 on Friday 5th April and then in the main venue with his band on Sunday 3rd November.
@@audreyparsons3875 ah thank you! I will try and get tickets problem is I am waiting for a date for surgery could be anytime in April.
Mesmerising playing 👏🏻
I’ve seen Dom live, 2 more gigs booked. He’s the real deal! Have a listen to his wonderful beautiful albums too.
Great honest interview. Thanks to all involved especially Dom
It was after seeing Dom live and speaking to him afterwards that that convinced me to start learning guitar which lead me to buy from Andertons !

Yeah, I know what you mean- we often wish you had been born and raised there to.

Best interview youve done in my opinion. Great :)

Real Life. Great to hear his story. It is a great service Dom had done here. His honest interview is powerful, and if it helps one person that's cool. Respect.
Absolutely amazing musician, sends shivers down my doing listening to him. Wonderful
Great playing and song. Sounds big for one guitar.
I like this guy, I like Lee also x
Loved your work in Mad Magazine. Cheers mate

Which model does Dom play of the London acoustic? Magnificent tone!!
Lowden F35C built to Dom’s spec
That guitar sounds amazing
It might just be me, but I detect just a SLIIIIGHHHTTTT sprinkle of inspiration from the old Anderton’s Intro guitar riff in that opening song lol
typical honest Irish lad. Proud of you DOM
beautiful muting and dead hitting the strings! Cheers!!!!
What a great interview, would love to see Lee interview another Belfast singer songwriter called BRIAN HOUSTON a fantastic guitar player
My man 💚💚
That guys a joker....great interview !
I saw him at Blues in Hell in Norway, he was amazing! Such a funny guy aswell
❤

He like reverb even more than the pope!

He's got an always off pedal 😮x
😮😮😮
Irish Myles Kennedy
I'm sorry isn't this guy called Jim?😊
Next stop TPS Shwangrila please
This was a great interview. The stacked reverb sound is addictive but it will make you sound like a dickhead when the rest of the band just plays dry.
He only uses it acoustically and only on a few of his songs. He’s way more than a one trick pony I can assure you 😉
@@RedPepperPromotions this was in no way a jab at Mr. Martin.
@@jtyoung706 no worries at all!
