Can’t believe this was a little over an hour! Seems like it was over in a snap of the fingers! FANTASTIC, Captain Lee. Tim Pierce is just so incredibly humble for his immense talent. So glad you brought us along! Really enjoyed this one! BRAVO! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Two of the most likeable chaps on UA-cam. This was a terrific chat with two music ambassadors. The best YT vid I have seen in a long while. Thank so much for the post Captain.
I think Tim does so well on his UA-cam channel because he’s so musical. A fine balance between chops/real world education and easy going personality. He blends in vast experience and it is very easy to grasp his concepts.
Man, I love how Caps' inner child comes out in these interviews. You can just see the genuine excitement in his face and mannerisms. Perfect man for the job. Learned alot about Tim as well...great stuf Cap!
I am just fascinated by tim. He seems so approachable, he is extremely skilled, and has such a diverse and interesting background. His list of credits is mind numbing.
Any guitar player, who hasn’t heard Tim Pierce’s album, “Guitarland” from 1994 on Fra Records, needs to sit down in a darkened quiet room, alone and just listen to every track in sequence…… It’s a masterpiece of orchestration, composition and playing ability. I was in Florida in late 1994 when I heard it being played in a Best Buy music store and purchased it immediately, brought it back to the U.K. and to this day, 30 years later, there isn’t a complete guitar instrumental album to touch it!…. Just a wonderful listening experience… Thank you Tim Pierce !
Two of my favorite UA-cam channels come together. Great interview Lee ! As a member of Tim's Masterclass I can assure you that he is not only a top-notch session legend, but a superb teacher as well. He has a very humble and distinct way of explaining/teaching things that really works for me.
Always loved that solo/guitarwork on that song and always thought it was Ritchie Sambora that created it and recorded it, but always knew in back of my mind he did not have the chops for that. Recently found the truth myself.
I have been hoping you two would get together for quite a long time and doing it there at Tim's place is icing on the cake. Okay, time to watch the video. Thank you!!!!
Well that was a treat. It’s always nice to see the ‘behind the curtain’ of well known youtube guitar legends, as Tim of course is and this interview confirms what a lovely genuine fellow he is. I’m sure I’d get option paralysis with a rig and guitar collection like that though, it’s tough enough with my little board, hx stomp and handful of guitars 😂
Tim Pierce is a long-time hero of mine having first heard (and tried very unsuccessfully to emulate) his solos on Rick Springfield's 'Living In Oz' album back in the 80. He's a monster player and clearly a wonderful human being. What a fabulous interview! Thank you for posting this.
Tim is such a sweet sweet guy!! I'm so glad to hear his relationship with Buk!! It was the last month of 2018, pre C-19, just before that exploded on the world, and my world came crashing down! I lost my wife, I did 4 trips to the hospital, resulting in 3 surgeries, 1 long semi big, 1 real long, big, extensive, life changing surgery, and I bonded with Uncle Larry, the garage, iPhone and I watched every second of Uncle Larry video ever recorded!! The people he introduced me to, all while learning, the guitar stuff, I had already been playing for 50 years!! Buk taught me so much more again!! I respect Tim to the max! I love and respect Tommy, he doesn't know it, but he kept me from crashing and burning, even not being here now!! The 2 of them together, nicest guys on the planet, and my inspiration for still being here, so glad I came out the other side!! Peace!! --gary
Thanks for doing this, Lee. I'm sure you were tired and ready to relax, but you pushed through and made a great video, meeting the great Tim Pierce. It was worth it.
Fantastic interview and so great to see Tim share his journey and insights of how the guitar music industry has evolved. Btw earlier this week Bon Jovi Runaway came on in the car and I already knew Tim played the guitars on that track. The solo has his signature style all over it. It is always great to hear Tim play guitar.
THAT was fun! Tim is such a cool guy and great guitarist! He should write a book about his life as a session man in LA! Thank you Lee and Pete!!!!!! awesome! These kind of videos are so inspirational!!!!!
Great video, guys! I love Tim! He is such a genuinely awesome, sweet guy! No matter how many times we get a glimpse of his gear and home studio, I'm glued to the screen! Cheers!
Oh wow! Tim Pierce is one of my very favourites - I’m always searching out new videos with him being featured or interviewed - so to get a collision of worlds with Andertons is a proper dream video; I look forward to sitting down to this! - I’m a proud Masterclass member and wish to again thank Mr Tim for his dedication and inspiration. Bloody legend!
What a treat !! Thank you !!! I could listen to you both forever and I am not even a guitarist. Nice people with great passion. This made my day. Looking forward to you having Tim at Andertons .
Such a great player, a positive personality and Tim is basically my Yoda. His Masterclass is so worth the price. So much content and more importantly delivered in a really clear and concise manner that makes it digestible ... augmented by learning from someone who is as joyful a player as there is on the planet. Thanks for this - so interesting to see the full spectrum of the room and of course the gear!
Great interview as always! Nice vibe, good questions, great talks and great structure as well! 👍 Absolutely a delight to watch! Lots better than some other guys, who just let people randomly chat for an hour without a start and end. Really awesome interview guys!
The more I see Mr Pearce the more I like the man! Such an interesting and inspiring fellow. Thank you for your contribution to the music we all love! Thanks you Andersons for a glimpse into the world of Tim Pearce.
I was thinking about Tim Pierce this morning and all that he brings to the table--he gives you the whole history of the LA music scene. Well here he is with Andertons Music. Great interview!
Always enjoy and love Tim’s work, channel, and charm. Love him even more now when he stated Led Zep’s The Rain Song is their most beautiful acoustic song. My favorite song of ALL time, Tim. Captain…you are so great at what you do!
It took me until today to realise that Tim played the solo on Queen of The Night. It’s an underrated song, and the solo is under appreciated too. Thanks Tim, thanks Lee & Co.
Man! You are a cool cat. It was nice to meet you at NAMM. I have been a fan since you and chappers. That was great. You are a fan, as are all of us. And I love to see that in your interviews. And you love good gear, so it is a treat to watch you geek out as we all do. Excellent!
Lee..that was mesmerizing!!! What great questions and really insightful answers from Tim. I couldn't press pause. It was a brilliant piece of rock journalism! Thanks, pal, and a big thanks also to Tim for his generosity of spirit and his trust in you...pure gold😊
I love Tim very much and I also adore the Andertons channel. I am posting anonymously, not from my main channel. I live in Russia, I’m scared for my fate, my father and my uncle are excellent jazz bassists. I grew up on black music since I was born, I grew up on Western and English soul music. I write and play music in English, but now it’s frowned upon here and because of the war we are sitting without concerts and tours. In this pressure of lack of freedom, I find your videos very calming and inspiring. God bless you. Almost all musicians from Russia agree with me and disagree with what is happening. But no one wants to rot in prison with a broken head, alas. Believe me, all people on earth want to live in peace and do their own thing.
A fantastic interview from The Captain. I didn’t know he had it in him. Informative and respectful. He should try to be Captain Sensible more often. Great work both of you here.
Hey Tim! Loved hearing you being interviewed by the Captain! Earlier today watched your video on Steve Howe and Yes and thoroughly enjoyed it! I appreciate the depth that you get to with the information in your videos about your session stories, interviews as well as lessons and tips you provide on playing guitar! Keep up the great work my friend! ✌👍 Greg
What an incredible interview! Just so wonderful and informative. Tim is a true musical creative energy, so interested in the search for tone. Thank you Captain, another gold mine of information.
Lucky Lee and Pete. Tim is one of my guitar heroes. He is amazing yet so modest and grounded. If Tim ever gets to Andertons in the UK then film a blind test of real amps vs modelling amps, but full of Anderton's brand of humour.
Love it. I have seen Tim describe his gear so many times. It seems like every time he has like 50 new guitars that are his favorie and 50 new pedals. I want that new tuner pedal btw...
What a great interview and the Captain is such an honest and humble interviewer doesn’t try to be anything he is not which allows the guest to be comfortable and open up (I’m going to mention Michael Parkinson here who built his career on a similar approach) I went and watched Iris again to enjoy the playing but also had a laugh with the singers “I don’t care” guitar miming
I'm a big fan of Tim Pierce's work. Whether he played as a session guy or as a sideman on tour, it is still all about the work and the experience that hones the craft and Tim has done all of that. Thanks, for doing this conversation. As a sideman in the 60s and listening to all the R&B masters, I'd love to hear a similar cover with Lee and the session guys like Cropper, Dunn, Booker T and Al Jackson. The Memphis sounds, Atco, Atlantic before that, Mussel Shoals, Fame Records and more. A memory tour with Tom Dowd would be a great take on all of that time. Cheers and thanks Lee and Tim.
Tim comes across as the nicest guy in the industry, he's so calming to listen to. And ofc a wonderfully natural player!
Right?? He's a gifted speaker and storyteller
Basically that awesome cool uncle for all of us guitar players
His teaching method is the same. Easy to learn from this man.
Understatement. He’s such a wonderful guy and has the career we all dreamt of.
True that. A guy who's seen it all and isn't the least bit cocky about it.
I see Tim and I click. Thanks Lee!!
Thanks Rick - Tim is a treasure for sure!!
Every time I listen to Tim’s stories, I like him even more.
Appreciate the shoutout guys! 🙏 Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Two legends of the UA-cam guitar community.
I mean I would watch any interview with Tim Pierce, however having Lee interview him is just the cherry on top. Well Done!!
Lee seemed pretty nervous though. Definitely doing a fanboy thing!
Lee, you are a champ, clearly you were absolutely shattered after NAMM judging by your voice, so glad you snuck this in before flying home!
I like seeing what looks like a Tim Pierce video with Anderton's editing and humor.
Tim is always so open and sharing about how he creates his magic. Great interview.
Pleasure to watch such a natural interview - there is hope for the world....
This is AMAZING!! Two of the best dudes out there 🚀And cheers for the shoutout guys, literally in hysterics over Lee’s comment 🤣😭
I was going to send you a text but I guessed you’d hear about it sooner or later…. And feel free to relentlessly re post the clip too 😂😂😂
Wonderful episode! Great seeing you guys together in sunny LA! Tim is such a lovely fellow and such a beautiful player, so much taste and feel!
Love your channel sir.
I remember seeing Tim a lot on your channel a few years ago
@@Crinkle65 thanks ever so much!
@@thesongacademy5017 yes, Tim is quite amazing indeed! Thanks ever so much!
Yes! He certainly is@@Producelikeapro

Thanks for the recommedation. Just started listening now and the first track is killer with it's mellow rock vibes love it!
Agreed, totally. I’ve had it for years and can’t count how many times I’ve recommended it! It’s a beautiful, pleasant and technically perfect album…
Such an interesting instrumental guitar rock album. Almost catchy even. So approachable and even poppy, but of course the playing is perfect.
Check out Eclectic Cafe's lp Sole on youtube. You might like it too.
Give Tom Bukovac and Guthrie Trapp's recent offering, In Stereo, a listen, all guitar instrumentals and it's killer.
Andertons is definitely one of the best top channels out there in UA-cam 👏👏👏👏
Absolute gentleman is Tim ,love seeing him play and hearing him in interviews 🙏
This has got to be one of the most interesting videos I've ever seen. Tim seems like such a great guy.
One of the best episodes ever on Andertons 👍🏻 Tim is a legend 🙏🏻
One of the best andertons videos ever
Two of my favorite UA-cam channels come together. Great interview Lee ! As a member of Tim's Masterclass I can assure you that he is not only a top-notch session legend, but a superb teacher as well. He has a very humble and distinct way of explaining/teaching things that really works for me.
Tim seems like a lovely chap. Thanks for that.
One of, if not the best ever Captain meets. Tim is an absolute legend and a true gentlemen of the guitar world.
the solo on Runaway is one of the most memorable guitar solos of the 80s. I never knew Tim did that until he made a video a few years back.
Always loved that solo/guitarwork on that song and always thought it was Ritchie Sambora that created it and recorded it, but always knew in back of my mind he did not have the chops for that. Recently found the truth myself.

Well this has been a treat. First time in my life I've sat still for an hour long UA-cam interview. 🙏 😊
Two worlds colliding. I subscribe to both channels and it was very enjoyable to see Tim get interviewed.
I love that all of my favorite guitar channel personalities interact with each and support each other.
Thank you to Andertons for taking the time to interview Tim Pierce… he’s a real treasure - great thoughtful and respectful dialogue- nicely done
Jackpot of an interview nice one Lee cheers. ❤
This was such a great interview - every second of it was a total delight. Tim just beams with passion and knowledge. He's a legend for a reason.

This was a great interview, and Tim was such a gracious host!!
Literally my favourite two UA-cam idols. Both amazingly hard working and masters of their craft and profession. Best video ever ❤
So great to see two of my favorite UA-camrs in the same room and at Tim’s cockpit
Damn, only one hour, I can serious listen to this for days!
Thanks for doing this, Lee. I'm sure you were tired and ready to relax, but you pushed through and made a great video, meeting the great Tim Pierce. It was worth it.

what a great video. Tim is not only a wonderful player and a very modest person, but a voice of reason and calm in a crazy industry.
Way cool Tim! Thanks to Anderton's for featuring you!
That was excellent. I rarely spend an hour watching a UA-cam video. I watched the whole thing.
THAT was fun! Tim is such a cool guy and great guitarist! He should write a book about his life as a session man in LA! Thank you Lee and Pete!!!!!! awesome! These kind of videos are so inspirational!!!!!

Lots better than some other guys, who just let people randomly chat for an hour without a start and end.
Really awesome interview guys!
What an outstanding interview with an epic musician. Thank you so much for the in-depth interview with Tim Pierce. He's the real deal!!!
I am taking Tim's Master Class. Very informative and nuanced. He is a great instructor and seems to be a super nice guy. Always a pleasure to watch

Reverb and delay on expression pedals, gold. Thankyou Tim.
About time you guys got together
So cool to find out that Tim uses a Heritage LP! Just recently picked up one and was completely blown away especially for the used price I got it for!
Love love love Tim. A genuine American treasure. Great vid. Thanks
Tim Pierce. What a class act, true professional, and stunningly talented. ✌️😌🎸
It took me until today to realise that Tim played the solo on Queen of The Night. It’s an underrated song, and the solo is under appreciated too. Thanks Tim, thanks Lee & Co.
Best musician, guitarist, and human around. If we could all be a little more like Tim Pierce, the world would be a better place.
Tim is my age, '58 vintage human! What Tim says is absolutely true, it was an incredible era for music
Man! You are a cool cat. It was nice to meet you at NAMM. I have been a fan since you and chappers. That was great. You are a fan, as are all of us. And I love to see that in your interviews. And you love good gear, so it is a treat to watch you geek out as we all do. Excellent!

This was absolutely fascinating and brilliant. Tim Pierce is a national treasure. And kudos to the Captain for this interview. Well done.
A very special event takes place here. Two giants of the guitar UA-cam community. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"(Education is) a bigger thing to sell rather than a pedal". Great statement! This applies to many other fields! What a lesson, Tim!
Tim is a legend🙌

Another outstanding Andertons TV’s Interview with a master artist!
A wonderful view into the one and only....Tim Pierce! THX for this.
the best session guitars player TIM PIERCE ! wishes from Poland !
Intro and outro : STUNNING. Interview stunning. Tim Pierce - what a great guy. Lee, thanks for this interview.
