1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle; then turn the key counterclockwise, to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center(DIC) displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. (You may have to open and close drivers door to see the DIC display). The DIC display will again show REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. The DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. (You may have to open and close drivers door to see the DIC display). Remaining remote key fobs can be relearned during the next steps. The DIC display should now show READY FOR REMOTE # 1.
4. Place the new smart key fob in the cupholder .
5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next remote key fob.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press unlock or lock on the transmitter.
To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 4-6. When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

Will this procedure work for the key fobs that came with the blazer
Thanks for this video! I have a 2022 blazer rs and lost one fob - tried resetting the new OEM one I bought and saw that doing this procedure will cause the original to not work - messed up somehow and now both do not work! Trying it again from the beginning and waiting for the first fob to be “learned” still…taking a while for the DIC to show an update while the fob is sitting in the cup holder and I pushed the START/STOP button…is this normal?
I can be - Some DIC's don't even show the message at all unless the door is closed and opened
To reset the key fobs? My two key fobs work sometimes and sometimes not

These fobs lock to a vehicle once programmed. So you will need a new one or a used one that has been unlocked.

You will need to reprogram your original remote as it will be erased during the procedure. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video - you need to repeat steps 4-6 for your original remote after the new is programmed.
I purchased a new 2021 Blazer but it came in from another dealership. They only sent one key fob that was already programmed as driver 2. My dealership supplied me with another but they programmed it as driver 3. My seat memory does not work for driver 3 key fob. How do I change fob 3 to 1??
You can use the procedure in the video to re-program both remotes. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video - you will repeat steps 4-6 for the second remote after the first one is programmed. The order that you program that in will determine which one is Driver 1 or 2. You will need the two fob far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be read to get the vehicle into programming mode.
Do I need to have key cut to fit into cylinder to program new one?
yes - the emergency key needs to be cut
Tried this out on a 2021 blazer rs and I’m not sure if I’m missing a step or something but I don’t see any of the messages on the screen.
I turned the key 5 times and nothing even showed up

Did this procedure sussessfully on my 2017 cruze. Nought 2022 blazer has one key followed instructions erased current working key would not work to reprogram factory or new key. Had to have vehicle towed to dealer.
Update. In the 2022 trailblazer to program the new keys they must be placed in the center console between cup holder and center console arm rest. Worked great.
Thanks for the how to. I wasn't interested in spending $200+ at the dealership. Question: Can you program the Same remote to work on multiple GM vehicles?
A used remote will have to be flashed with the correct equipment before it can be programmed again. These remotes lock to a vehicle once programmed.
After car wash service the remote control for open the back door of my 2021 Blazer does not work, could you help me about it? Thanks
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but if the back hatch stopped working after a car wash it may be an issue with the vehicle itself
So I have read the instructions on your sight for my '23 Trailblazer, tried in multiple locations (center console and front cup holder), and can't seem to get past the "ready to program Fob #3 " message... background, trying to add 3 key fob to my '23 trailblazer, I have 2 original and the new key is already cut. I place the 2 originals in the center console, turn the new cut key 5 times, and get the Ready for Remote # 3" message with a check box in the bottom left corner, place the new fob in the console or cupholder, and press the start-stop button. Then nothing happens. I've waited as long as 30 minutes with the stopwatch, but no message. After every attempt, I will press the unlock button and attempt to exit program mode by holding start/stop, and I only get the remote present. Please let me know what I am missing. there could be an issue with the new key fob if the vehicle is going into programming mode but not responding to the new fob
I actually want to know one thing that the dealership changed in my car when they were working on it because they would’ve kept locking themselves out even though the keys are outside of the vehicle I said it up so that it would look even if I don’t like it immediately and now it’s not doing that so how do I get that back up. That’s what I wanted to know but I’m probably gonna have to read the manual or some thing. I’ve already set the key and I only use the first key I never ever even use my second key for any of my cars I’ve always use the original one the first key set up I’ve never sent the second key up
You can do this through the settings on your radio.

My problem is my number one remote is fine and I’m replacing my number to remote do I use the same procedure as the video? I noticed in the video you pressed for remote one and then I think you were done the process
You can use this procedure you just need to re-program you original remote during the process as it will be erased. When you are done the new remote will be driver 1 and your original will be driver 2

No - these remotes lock to a vehicle once programmed and need to be unlocked by someone with the correct equipment before they can be programmed again.
