Remarried are to remain married and go forward in Christ. Repentance is believing in Christ and what He did on the cross. That 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. marriage is legitimate in God’s eyes. It can be forgiven but, don't continue in it, adulterer and foricators can be forgiven so if your remarried you have t undo the deed because you can't keep having sex after you have repented, period........
The Bible makes allowance for remarriage in cases of abandonment and if your spouse commits adultery on you. You are "free from the bonds" after that. A lot of translations mistranslate "putting away" (found in KJV) with "divorce" when the two are not synonymous. Deut 24:1 details the Jewish divorce process (remember, Jesus was a Jew so many of his frames of reference came from that culture/POV), and "putting away" denies the due process required in Deut 24:1. They'd send a woman away without giving her a "get" which is tantamount to today's divorce decree b/c he didn't want to pay her and her family money in the divorce settlement. This is why Malachi describe "putting away" as treacherous b/c it denies the woman a legal right to remarry, should the cause of divorce be a Biblical reason. So yes, if you are not officially divorced b/c you were "put away" or simply kicked out of your marital home, OF COURSE you're in adultery and cause the wife to be in adultery if she remarries b/c she was never divorced to begin with. You've also left her financially destitute. Marrying while merely "put away" is like remarrying while only separated. You are still married! I wish ppl researched the cultural context to have an accurate understanding of scripture. Just research Jewish divorce process and "putting away".
@@shalalala868 Jesus said in Matthew 5, you've heard it said that you can divorce and give a wife a certificate of divorce, but he changed what Moses permitted in Deuteronomy, by saying saying that He believes a person who marries a divorced woman commits adultery with her and that a man who divorces a woman except for fornication causes her to commit adultery. He is quite clear on remarriage. We dont know what Paul meant by "no longer bound" but we know what Jesus said.

@@NathanielRayDavis You say God has no time to sort through the dynamics? You say God ordained adultery?
Where are you getting this stuff from?
@@hollywoodelpaso1982 …. Yeah. Just like God told Abraham to Go into his handmaiden Sarah. And David was messing around with Married women too. And Mary of Magdalene was an adulterer AND a bigamist. So it’s forgiven.
Only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit only cannot be forgiven according to Jesus.
No he never said that especially to the women that was caught in the sin of adultery he said he wasnt gonna condemn her for the sin this time bascually but told her go and sin no more...All manner of sin and blasphemy shall ve forgiven exceot blasphemey against tbe holy spirit and its more joy in heaven over one sinner that repents more than the 99 just people who do t need to repent...God forgives and is merciful...Everybody should be praising him and thanking him for his love and mercy..We all.u derstand what God could do to people living in sin scripture says the goodness of God is suppose to lead you to.repentance.. You know if you have to reowbt of anything..If God is giving you a chance to repent and change yiur ways and you still wont do it then i suppise he would feel disrespected then you may see the wrath of God if you flat refuse to.repent and change from your wicked ways..Thats just my opi ion though not everbody believes that unfortunately..
What about what Jesus said about “putting away” one’s wife and marrying another?
Yes. As a general rule, divorcing one’s spouse and remarrying another would be adultery.
Christ gave ONE exception to that rule and that would be divorcing for the reason of sexual unfaithfulness. (Matthew 5:22; 19:9)
Divorcing for ANY OTHER reason and remarrying would be adultery.
@@QZigZagg Except for abandonment of a believer by a nonbeliever (1 Cor 7:15). This was a new issue after the resurrection as believers were leaving nonbelievers because they thought it made them more holy. Paul was saying not to do that but that if the unbeliever leaves, the believer is no longer under bondage to those marriage vows and that person.
@@QZigZaggshould you divorce then the second spouse
Amen
Adultery is Bad but thats not the unforgivable sin that sends you to hell thats only the sin of unbelief in christ finished works.
I believe David was forgiven when he committed adultery with Bathsheba go read Psalm 51!
Amen 🙌🏾
Amen🙏🙏
The catholic church , which is the original church , states that adultery is a "mortal" sin. You must go to confession for it , and if you don't , and die with mortal sin , you will go to hell. I would not dismiss this. Marriage is a sacrament , not to be taken lightly. Also, fornication is a mortal sin. For all you having sex outside of marriage , you are committing a grave , mortal sin and when you die you will be separated from God. Don't listen to watered down ministry.
The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy. All other subs can be forgiven.
Only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit
Every sin can be forgiven. Except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Yes adultery can be forgiven, but you must turn from it. And continue in it no more. Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11adulterers shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Now the question is are there saved adulterers and lost adulterers? Saved fornicators and lost fornicators. Saved homosexuals and lost homosexuals? Be honest.
Yes, there are saved sinners and unsaved sinners. The difference is that the unsaved (lost)sinners will not be forgiven of their sins because they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The saved sinners are redeemed, and have their sins forgiven, but they must repent and turn away from it.
You are incorrect my. Friend , the only sin un forgiven is unbelief search the scripture brother
David committed adultery and murder! He sho got forgiveness.
Amen!
Well the son of that sin would lose ten of the twelve tribes.
David was not in adultery since Uriah was murdered. He didnt continue the sin, as she was no longer married.
@@archielang7427 That is legalize if ever I heard it. Maybe in Islam (right hand possession) but I don't think you can plot the death of someone and then be free of the sin of adultery by that act.
@hollywoodelpaso1982 that's why we need Jesus.
I heard that you are remarried, so why would I trust a biased opinion. Jesus said you can remarry as long as your wife committed fornication. Like if she wasnt a virgin before the wedding night or is pregnant before the wedding. People dont divorce for the first one these days, we arent jews. Just take His word for it, dont marry a divorced person outside of this reason.
Remarriage is adultery. You are not forgiven until you leave that adulterous remarriage. This applies to all sins. You're forgiven when you stop.
That’s ridiculous and unbiblical. Keep studying.
@@t-man6197 That's not a response. Tell me where I'm wrong. Provide your verses.
@@Tatiana-cp1fc I posted more. However, show everyone where it’s written someone remains unforgiven unless they go back to the original spouse. Exactly what work(s) is needed from us to increase the effectiveness of Jesus sacrifice on the cross? Telling people to leave the current spouse is causing them to commit the same sin over again. You can’t do sin to correct sin.
Can the (believing) murderer bring to life the murdered? Thus, remains unforgiven because the sinful act can’t be undone? Makes no sense when compared to the promises of God to those who “ Believe” on the Son.
@@t-man6197 I did not say you must get back with the original spouse. However Jesus calls remarriage adultery...it should be clear that adultery needs to be repented of. What the Lord declares is adultery does not magically turn into a marriage
@@Tatiana-cp1fc either way, separating from the current spouse is a sin. Let’s get this clear, yes adultery is sinful, no it is not a perpetual sin. Remarriage is not an endless hopeless sin. It says one commits adultery, not remains adulterous. If this were the case, the adulterous remarriage would be unforgivable because the act itself is adultery, so leaving would not erase the sin. Remarried are to remain married and go forward in Christ. Repentance is believing in Christ and what He did on the cross. That 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. marriage is legitimate in God’s eyes. However, he calls us to Holiness through Christ, not by our works of righteousness.
This is a ...............Whorazontal problem.
😂😂😂yep. We gotta deal with it man to man.
It can be forgiven but, don't continue in it, adulterer and foricators can be forgiven so if your remarried you have t undo the deed because you can't keep having sex after you have repented, period........
Do you believe that every person who has remarried should get divorced?
