Yeah I find a lot of the time he doesn’t use enough spices to give the meats any flavors.
While josh prides himself on the quick and easy meal for your macros, that doesn’t mean you have to eat tasteless meats. My advice is learn how you like your meats spiced, use those flavors and add them to his recipes. Works out a lot better over the last 6 months I’ve been making his meals

That part about the meals not being the fanciest stuff that one would serve to their friends is honestly why I love this channel; 99% of my cooking is for myself so I'm very rarely cooking to impress somebody. Most channels are way too preoccupied with trying to make the best tasting or looking meals, while Josh just cuts through the bs and makes recipes I can easily follow, meet my goals without hating myself, and get on with my life.

I think your comment is the perfect summation of this channel.
Each meal prep channel prioritizes some things over others (protein, cost-effective, healthy, quick, taste, etc). I use recipes from a few different sources depending on what I am looking for. Even then, I still tailor every recipe a bit to my liking. As we all should, for these channels all exist as guides.
Josh's channel is always great for a quick, easy, healthy meal.

Realized at the end there's a written recipe, but since I took notes, here they are:
Large Skillet 1 (maybe even a cooking pot)
    Medium High heat
    1 TBSP (15g) Oil
    Add peppers and onions
    1 TBSP (15g) Minced Garlic
    Add Carrots
Sprinkling of salt and stir around
Cook vegetables until softened and browned
Large Skillet 2 over Medium High heat
    1 TBSP (15g) Oil
2 LBS of 93/7 Ground Turkey
    Even layer in skillet
Season lightly with salt and pepper, and allow to brown for a few minutes
Then break it up and stir a bit
50 percent cooked, add in the mushrooms, cook with meat another 5 minutes or so, until no pink remains
    Add Sauces
    3 TBSP Soy Sauce
    2 TSP Sriracha
    1 TBSP Honey
    1 TSP Sesame oil
    ½ TSP Ground Ginger
Stir into meat, taste and season with Salt and Pepper as needed
Lay out 5 meal prep containers. To each container:
½ cup cooked Rice to each (could double rice if you want more calories)
    Divide meat equally
raw carrots if you didn't add them with other vegetables
    cooked vegetables.
