I skated for 3+ years back in highschool....could never get tre flips down (only landed once) despite being able to varial and 360 shove with ease....I'm now 30 and got back into skating this summer, Im mastering this trick by end of the year!!!
Awesome! You got this for sure!
That’s pretty much exactly what I’m doing right now man let’s go
Same and same! Also lots of grind practice this summer.
We already áàsaàààaaà all our attention
29 and I’m about to be in the same boat I want to master it by summer time
He didn't mention this but also remember to keep your weight on your back foot! if your board isn't going in front of you, its because your leaning too far forward. Just thought id mention that, its something that i figured out the other day! Hope it helps!
Thanks!
thanks :)
Weight distribution is the step you learn in all the basic tricks before hand that he mentions in the video
this has been happening to me for a hour ima try this and let you know
People have no idea how lucky they are to have great tutorials like these accessible for everyone. When Aaron was first learning . It was skate videos, magazines and tips from friends. That plus trial and error. Were the only ways to learn
I'm 36 years old and first stepped on a board when I was 8yrs. I say that to state that this was helpful to me right now. : ) Before the internet all you had was "skate videos" on VHS with people just killing it, or getting hurt. Nothing inbetween other than the best if you're lucky and the best kid at skating in your small town helps you out. LISTEN TO THESE GUYS! the fact that this channel exists is amazing. ----- YOU CAN DO IT! everything is possible you just need to understand the magic trick, before you can wow others.
Thank you for your dedication to keeping the skate education going! 35 year veteran skater here! I’m coming back after a 10 year hiatus. 50 lbs heavier! I signed on to your app to learn what I can do to be a lifer in the sport and do the tricks my body will allow.
Can’t forget about the “tre bomb”
I found the channel "WhyTheTrick" recently and his technical driven breakdowns of tricks is amazing. He shows how the flip comes from the pressure buildup in the back bushings, as you can see clearly in Gigers' tre. But you can also clearly see in Andy's tre, and Mo's, that their flip comes from the tor flick. Its interesting how you can do the same trick with different motions.
Yup, I watched that and it helped me unlock tres again finally it’s wild, you just have to scoop correctly and give it the slightest flick and it’s there
For sure very cool how a lot of skateboard tricks can be done in different ways. Switch heels are like that too, some people flip with the toe and some with the heel
Chris Hiett inspired my to get a shaped Powell Peralta and I got shove it’s and gaps and grinds again but I saw your Braille Walmart board on sale and saw other reviews that it is a solid starter board and ordered one of those too! Your channel got me back into skateboarding at almost 40 years old after a 15 year retirement! Found this channel through Mogely!
Can’t wait to try and learn 360 flips on my new Braille board! Almost got varial flips and 360 nollie shove it’s on my heavy Powell so I’m thinking the Braille popsicle board will make it a little easier to pull them off!
One thing I feel is worth mentioning, an area I got hung up on for months: I had the power to scoop, was consistently landing the trick, but landing too far forward on my board or past the board. Eventually I noticed I was simply leaning too far forward - however, the difference between too far forward and "just right" seems to be like 0.0000001 degrees. Also, the reason I was leaning too far forward is because the setup position is so awkward with the back foot on the tail like that, that it seemed like if I didn't counterbalance forward, I would fall right off the back of the board. The margin of error for posture on this trick is insanely small. When I'm able to land them, I feel like I'm leaning WAY too far back, but it works. Hopefully this advice is helpful for anyone else with the same issue - try doing everything else the same as you've been doing it, but lean further back. For me to accomplish this, I had to start focusing on where my hands ended up when I crouched down - I like my front hand directly over the bolts, shoulder square with the board, and my back hand actually slightly in front of the board, my elbow hugging my knee. Ideally, each hand is the same distance from the ground - this is how you know your weight is balanced. If your front hand is closer to the ground then the back, it's because you're hunching forward. This naturally forces the weight right onto my back toes when I spring up, and forces me to "lean back" enough to allow the trick to happen. I think many pro skaters fail to recognize this part of the trick because their balance is so incredibly fine tuned that they take it for granted that the setup position for this trick is EXTREMELY unnatural and awkward.
So many tutorials! Just waiting for bs and fs 180’s as well as pop shove it because that would be all the basic tricks to get to the treflip. Goal for next year is getting to tre flip. Thank you Braille!
We will put them on the list!
@@brailleskateboarding ya I'm having a really hard time keeping the board on my feet and not flying out with my 180s so I could use it real bad
Shuv was already done recently
@@lecctron Oh, I was saying the POP shove it
@@catlord8568 that was in that video did u not watch it
Going to try and learn this now
Sweet, good luck!
Watching these Brailles skate videos relax me,and makes me focused on more of Skateboarding the end of 2021to the new area 2022.
This channel inspires me so much. These videos always make me want to skate!!
Awesome
Learned how to pop shuvit and trey flip in one day I’m so hype skating brings me so much joy thank you guys
Love you guys you inspired me to skateboard
braille is zero without this man.
Just got myself a braille skateboard from Walmart and I can't wait to try it out tomorrow at the skate park. Thanks guys for the videos they were a big help for teaching me how to skate. Much love💓🖤
Have fun!
I have been looking for a Braille skateboard from Walmart in Canada, but I can’t find them. I am a beginner and I want to learn to skate, but I’m not sure where to get a board. I would order one from your website but it’s kind of expensive with shipping, duty etc.
I think you should consider selling them in Canada in the future
another great video from braille!
I first landed the 360° kickflip in '93 after trying them off a curb to get more airtime. There weren't many street skaters doing frontside pop shove-its back then, so I only got that trick recently. I've landed hundreds of 360° kickflips, but so far never landed a hardflip. When I mess up on the 360° kickflip it's almost always due to the board rotating only 270°. I think it's because of being old school and trying to pop the board more than trying to scoop it. I went about 25 years with very little skating after a knee injury on a messed up 360° kickflip. Now managing the knee and trying ollie late back foot kickflips and pressure flips.
Sick
Sick..working on switch tre’s
Perfect timing. I’m almost a year in and have done everything I wanted with my kickflips so it’s time to learn one of my dream tricks
Got my treflips today and i decided to try this trickk today to looooolll and this dsy is my 1st anniversary for skating
Yeay for Aron
I literally just walked in after landing my first ever 360 flip and saw this video 😅
Boom, fate, kismet!
Thank you, this is goin to help me a lot👍
Let me know if you land it
Idk what rig braille is using here. Bot these slow mos are f**n sick. I have never seen a tre flip or any trick for that matter documented and captured as well as these shots. Keep pushing it! :)
you. are. the. best. you. are. legend.
Chris's tre flips are just beautiful lol. Giger has all insane pop.
braille over all
Aaron got the best tre flips ! He stays in the same spot
I was waiting for Aaron kyro to call it the trebomb
Haha! Tre bomb. Consider it done
wanna learn other tricks tho
McNugg's front foot is just in the way of the skateboard. The skateboard touches his foot once and does the correct spin. He got it down to the point of doing the least of anything. That's the natural way of learning things.
best UA-camr
Getting out of a boardslide. I am still a little confused on bs fs. But I turn to my backside to get onto the boardslide and my front is facing the direction I'm going. Thank you dudes for all you do.
It's an old surfing term. If you turn with the wave in front of you, then that's frontside. When you move into street skateboarding, it mixes things up. On grinds and slides, if the rail is in front of you as you approach it, then that's frontside. But the words have different meanings when you are just doing a 180. If your foot that you normally pop ollies with goes forwards, then that's frontside. So on the street, frontside and backside have different meanings depending on whether you're doing a grind. But if you go to a quarterpipe, then the two meanings come back together and just mean one thing all the time.
On a rail its about the ride up. If your riding up to the obstacle and its on you backside its backside. If its on your frontside its frontside
Just landed on the board for the first time today! I don’t know what happened, but for whatever reason I all of a sudden found that the motion of a tre flip clicked. I still can’t kickflip, but I’ve been working on pop shuvs for a while now and decided that varial flips seemed a bit more achieveable. After trying to varial, I realized if I just did a little harder of a scoop, I could get the board to go the full 360. Main problem now is that it’s hard to get the board to fully do the flip rotation (probably due to my lack of kickflip), but this just proves that sometimes certain tricks will feel better than others even if they seem harder!
Wow amazing
Dang it I was trying to get here first you are all fast I guess 4th thank you for the tutorial
I learned my tricks different I went from Ollie to kickflip then I learn pop shuv after , so if you wanna learn tre-flips all you really need to know is how to Ollie and how to kick flip and pop shuv and Vflips , once you get them down try to work on 360 shuv it's and once you can catch those just throw a kickflip in the 360 shuv it and then you got a tre-flip , but it does help the more tricks you know for better board control
videos always encourage me want to skate!!
I was about to send in a skate support for tre flips, thank y’all for reading my mind ❤️
Let us know how it goes!
@@brailleskateboarding I can get the rotation literally perfect every single time but whenever I try to commit with both feet the scoop doesn’t feel right and it doesn’t flip the way it normally does
I like how he stopped saying “I’m a pro skater” 💀
I've watched every single Tre flip tutorial video on UA-cam but i simply cannot understand this trick !
very helpful! I love the skaetoarbding made simple videos!
That varial flip from gabe was beautiful lol
Ricky's slow mo was so majestic lol
I just finished my semester in school, I passed Calc 2 my FIRST TRY. And immediately thought of you guys!
Well done!!!!!
@@brailleskateboarding Thank you! I enjoy your videos, lots of fun to watch. I bought Andy's board recently and watching you guys I want to get back into skating, too bad it's cold out lol
They make it seem so easy *it is really easy they inspired me so much*
Just what i needed rn!
I have to say I disagree that you “need” to learn how to varial flip before leaning how to tre flip because in a varial flip you definitely use your front foot to flip the board where as with a tre it’s all in the back foot also, you catch a varial flip differently to how you catch a tre flip. I would say learning how to do a kick flip, pop shuv and learning how to catch a pop shuv really high and with your front foot will help way more than learning to varial flip. Great tutorial tho 👍
Thx alot, i was wondering if you guys can do best skate shoe videos
I'm sure I'm gonna land it tomorrow I'm serious
You got this!
u land?
brandon I didn't verry close I land whit both feet on it for 2 sec bet then step off next time
Didn't see the biggest issues I went through/see others go through, so thought I'd add them as questions!
-Why can I only back-foot catch/always turn my shoulders?
-Why does the board always go behind me?
would be interested in a video about ways to practice ollies - height, distance, style, etc
Ok good idea
Okay , please post videos like that with a mirrored version ;)
I have been skating for quite a long time, but I've never really been able to do much. I think my problem IS that I've been skating such a long time, but in the wrong way. By that I mean it seems I practiced doing tricks the wrong way (where I can't land it) so many times that my muscle memory is trained for doing them that way and now I can't break that habit to build my muscle memory right and be able to progress again. It actually helped when I stopped skating for a couple years and then got back into it because I think I unlearned the wrong techniques and was able to relearn them properly. But now the same problem is happening again. I don't want to stop skating. What do I do?
We need something like this but with Laser Flips, PLEASE
Make a video about you skate on snow just by the board and do tricks!
I e been asking for fs 5050 for almost a year now please make one
I would really like a better inward heelflip tutorial. It's pretty rare to find them.
noone:
my subtitles: "my names erin cairo"😂😂
I love these videos but I believe I missed an upload is there a specific reason why he's re doing his old tutorial videos. I love them just curious 🧐
Great advice... Please please do front side flip tutorial. I've been skating since 1990 and still can't do them 😢
I wish i have skateboard like you guys i realy realy want skateboard
I would love to see beginning steps for grinding. Deck slides or 50/50.
I wish i could see the contract details between aaron and "braille" after the split. It is just incredible to me that you can sell a youtube channel when that channel seemingly is only you personally. Very interesting...
Hi kyro
Thank you b!
sheshhh🔥❤
Awesome video guys! Just learned bs flip but could use some pointers, how to roll away after the flip and land? Board just stays still
should i start learning this, or try some other tricks (varial flips and 3 shuv, mainly) first?
edit: im a minute and to the video and ive already realized my mistake looks like im learning Gabe flips first
i have been wanting to learn this thank you so much! also do you think i should get the app?
Another tip: try doing Fakie 360 flips! They’re wayy easier and I learned them in Fakie first
Can you please make a 360 Double Flip Tutorial?
Can you do a video on how to do switch tricks?
Sick
This skill is great! I don't even know when I would be able to start practicing this skill.
When you've got your shuvs and kick flips down. Maybe do a few varial flips and then just move power from your front foot to your back foot.
I follow every tutorial
Even though I know how to tre flip I love watching ur tutorials
Thanks Aaron )
I will try
i will learn this trick for kanye, Aaron!
It's winter season - Not many hours of light per day. Also, everything outside is wet anyways. Indoor parks are closed due to covid. That means I'm left with practise on a carpet or maybe a parking garage somewhere. Is this trick doable while not rolling?
Yesssss
Thx man
i never heard "tre flip" before. this was always a 360 flip. i am old so things must have changed.
this was my magnum opus right before i stopped skating back in 2006. most fav was nollie pressure flip
my biggest problem has always been to get the pop in 360 kickflips, I have the scoop and the flick, but my 360 kickflips is always too low so the board is only flipping 3/4 and i often land high edge.
McNuggets tre flips are so pretty.
thanks
Great!
I got to the point where i could do a varial kickflip blindfolded. Something about the front legs motion for the varial stopped me from 360 flipping for years. i ran into the scoop trick when i randomly tried a fakie treflip. I landed it fakie before i landed a normal one.
I would love to see you breaking down Varial Heelflip
Heelflips?!?! Might need another guy for that, hahahaha. But will add to the list
@@brailleskateboarding Thank you!
The "simply bend your back knee" Is easier said than done.. I treflip perfectly when I'm stepping down on the ground with my back foot. But if I try to land with both feet I ether don't get the full flip or the full 360 rotation...
It's so frustrating because I was able to land at least one treflip a day for a month, and since then I landed maybe 2 in like 6 month.. It's like I'm going backwards with my progress..
I need more time and energy to practice. Can you help me with that?
Please do hard flip tutorial
U know guys can you guys go to claskenite skatepark I would want JD go on big dropin
I have varial flips down for the most part but can't seem to get the scoop right for the 360 flip. I kinda think it's foot position but now that I see each one of you guys use a different foot position I'm stumped.
All of them have toes hanging off the board(how much depends on comfort). The only difference is how far away from the tail is the foot. The closer foot placement towards the tail is gonna cause it to pop more and flip slower. Closer to the side of the tail allows you to scoop easier and flip easier but less pop. The front foot placement also will affect how the board flips before the flick. Weight towards the back edge will cause it to not flip as much and weight in the center or past the center on the right will increase how much the back foot causes it to flip.
Chris keeps his front foot in the center and his back foot towards the tail and edge. This allows his back foot to do all the work, similar to a pressure flip and the board flips/spins because his front foot doesn't impede the board flipping naturally.
The others have their front foot in a position closer to a kickflip with their weight in the center and towards their back. This means they have to do a little flick to complete the rotation.
I think I need to see u guys in person or I’m never gonna get it😭
I've been riding Hockey/Fa boards for a few years the square tail does not help treflips
Varias flip puedes hacer uno porfavor
Learning the backside disasters right now. I'm so old, it's hard to turn my shoulders to 180 degrees on any trick now. So everything that spins, gets harder!
