    Hey my brother, thank you for this great video. I’m reading the comments here and yes indeed, I’m a 47 year old skater. I love tre flips, did my first back in like 98-99. I had to stop skating due to two near fatal car accidents back in 2007. However, where there is a will, there is a way. Big love and respect to everyone who is getting back into, what I know, is a huge part of our lives. Love and positivity to you all.

    I'm relearning my tre flips and I also noticed that the more vertical the board gets the better the rotation is.

    Very interesting facts. Tre flip is for some of us a passion and all depth details are fascinating.
    One other fact not very popular and I see you're doing too is that the board does not rotate under your body but deside. When scooping the body position (shoulders / hips) are making the board moves between 5 or 10 inches ahead of your chest. That allows you as you said to scoop forward. Otherwise your deck will hit your legs

    changing from a 8.125 to a 8.25 (maybe more concave) DEFinatly makes the board flips more, I had to relearn pop-shuvs cuz they would land primo. I battle it real hard.
    I have not yet learned tre-flips, but I guess i have landed maybe a couple doing *failed backfoot impossibles.
    The only pressure flips/ foot position I learned is for hardflips.
    This is really forward scoop too. and the front foot getting out/barely assisting.
    I have yet to master and actually land, on purpose, a tre-flip... many skaters have this tricks unlocked early it's mindblowing!
    Thanks for the advices man good jobs with the tuts!

      I recently got back into skating after like 15 years. I used to ride a 7.5. The guy at the shop asked how I landed on it. It finally clicked why a bigger board is good. I need a large area to land.

    really good tutorial man and you are right most tutorials in youtube never mentioned about these 3 facts. when i tell people how to tre flip i usually let them know which direction they need to skate the tail and to which direction they need to flick/extend the front foot.

    Interesting point about truck tightness. It seems like the longer you skate, the more loose you want your trucks anyway for smoother board control, so I bet most don’t even think about that by the time they get to tre flips. Good video! I’ve wanted to tre flip for years, getting decently consistent rotation but never seriously focused on them, so you’ve inspired me to make it happen.

    • @pressureflipin1992
      @pressureflipin1992 8 місяців тому

      Super easy. Your back foot goes into the back pocket of the board, dead center in the concave, your front foot does absolutely nothing, It's all in your back foot...you press down with the tip of your toes in between that concave and what makes it flip is actually jumping up, the pressure from the tip of your toes and jumping up Causes the board to Flip, try to stay dead center. Good luck

    Epic tip! Believe me I've watch at least 10 videos on this trick and still haven't got it. The tech deck is a great way to show how to do it. When I 360 flip on a tech deck it flips with a heel flip instead, which makes more sense to me. How can you put pressure on your toes and make it kick flip. On my real board, I get close then complicate it in my head and then get no where near. They typically do a 360 shov which you pointed out. I’ll let you know when I stick it..could be years.. But someday I will! Land a 360flip

    The hardest part about tre flips is to learn how to stay above it with both feet so you actually have a chance to land it. Yet, there is no a single tutorial about this problem.

    • @2FTSK8
      @2FTSK8  Місяць тому +1

      It is a good point ..... To me ....To be above the board, you need to scoop the board to the right direction.... Before this video came out I don't think anyone was talking about it.., now they do...

    • @pistopit7142
      @pistopit7142 Місяць тому +1

      @@2FTSK8 Thanks for replying. I would disagree on the scooping in right direction as the fix to stay above the board. This is because I can scoop the board in right direction, it will rotate perfectly, I will catch it with my front foot only, while my back leg is on the ground long before the board finished rotation. I scooped it right but still had no chance to land with both feet.
      I think It is about synchronisation of the scoop as you go up. It needs to be done in the right moment. Also, despite front leg going up first you actualy bring energy to jump from both legs, not just the back leg. It's a frustrating trick. I can do pretty high heelflips but tre flip is another breed. I've learned board rotation on the first day. Practicing it every day for 1-2 hours for the last 6 months. Never managed to land a single one.

    • @2FTSK8
      @2FTSK8  Місяць тому

      Ok ok I think you are figuring out the timing of things.... It is very delicate to find the timing on this one because you can scoop with heavy footing or light footing.... I cover this next two treflip videos I made... But basically first try to execute the scoop and flick light ... If you have to buy light trucks and smaller deck to help with that do it .... And try everything to jump with upper body ... Like lifting arms as you jump... Try not to hit the ground to hard ...instead... Try to rotate the board more as you scoop .. like fast sweep.... And Send me video on insta or something!!!
