If I can give you THE secret that made me improve my consistency on my heelflips from 1/10 to at least 5/10, I would say that if you struggle with leaning back when you pop (because it is an uncomfortable position to pop), try leaning just a little, not uncomfortable, and when you pop, raise your arms like any trick you would do, but raise them BEHIN YOU. You can see that Aaron is doing that at 7:31. Compare his arms position with the one at 7:22, and you'll se that to land it, he raise his arms behind him. It will help you a lot to readjust your bodyweight while popping. Hope this helps.
Thanks to yall i picked up skateboarding again, havent skated since i was 13ish and im 21 now but it feels great to be back on a board. Thanks to you guys!
I just thought to myself “I want to learn varial heelflips” a minute later I go on UA-cam and look up how to do one and emmediatly see a tutorial posted less than an hour ago from one of my favorite skate channels!
I just got back into it after stopping about 10 years ago due to an injury while deployed. I've noticed harder tricks are easier to relearn. I have my treflips, varial heels, hospital flips, ect back. But I cannot for the life of me do a kick flip or heel flip! I can maybe do 1 out of 10 kick\heel flips.
Hey Braille I don’t know if you guys want to do this but what really helps me is also practicing the flip bit landing on it with my back foot also. And the front foot of coarse. Then it makes it a bit easier to land with both feet. But I’ve never heard you guys say this in any of your how to videos so I just wanted to share something that helps me learn tricks. And I love this channel soooo much! 👍
I ordered a board because of you guys. Still waiting for it, but I have nothing better to do during this time. I'm stoked to skate again, it's been about 6 years or so.
I know he had it all backwards when he was explaining it with his hands. When he was showing the direction it was supposed to spin, it was shown spun in the direction of a kickflip variation.
Yo skateboarder from the San Francisco hay area how many repetitions for muscle memory do you recommend per session? Im back to the basis to refine my flips and im trying to correct my kick. Your videos for basics tricks helped me a lot.
I need more work on my Ollie's but I'm pretty solid on them currently I'm working on my kickflips and heelflips but I feel like my varials are way easier to do so that's why I'm here
I'll be honest: I'm no where near proficient enough on a skateboard to do this trick but I watched the entire video anyways because the puppies are adorable
I do my varial and lasers with only my front foot, I literally pop and the way I flick will sling it into varial or laser depending on how hard I flick
Okay so i can v heel pretty decent but now i always miss the flick and i always land on the board upside down or primo and idk how to flick any faster bc if i do i just miss the flick completely. If there’s any tips u can give me id greatly appreciate it
Day 3 of commenting on every braille video... this video was made for me, I'm just getting my varial heels down and I tried to teach myself how to do it
Hey, Aaron, you could teach more ledge and rail tricks. That would be cool.
Yes, please
Pedro Rizzon yessir
Yes I would like to see that
Yessss
I was struggling with this trick then I tried it Moglies way did it first try

My name is San Francisco Bay and I'm a sponsored Aaron Kyro from the Skateboarder Area
Haha
XD 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you
Oldest thing ever
Met a bunch of skaters in Siem Reap Cambodia, and this is the one trick they could all do first try. Was magic to watch.

"
Ride it to school"
...uhh Aaron
varial heel has to be one of my favorite looking tricks!!
This actually was very helpful, today was my first time trying this trick and landed them less than 1 hour. Thank You Very Much😊
Today I landed my first varial heel today, thanks Braille!
Great video! Been working on my heelflips and fs shoves recently so gonna try blast a few of these bad boys out - thanks Aaron stay safe mate

bc i picked up skateboarding again bc of you guys
OMG I finally landed it!!! I was trying hardflips but got tired and 3rd try landed varial heel. I feel so accomplished lol
This couldn't come out at a better time for me 🔥🔥
I ordered a board because of you guys. Still waiting for it, but I have nothing better to do during this time. I'm stoked to skate again, it's been about 6 years or so.
Ik alot of people just watch ur video's for fun and dont get a skateboard but I'm actually saving up for one rite now! Tyy
Aaron showing us a varial heelflip with his hands. Me: Aaron that’s a hardflip
I literally just saw that part and had to look to see if anyone else has noticed
Yo! I saw that too lol
I know he had it all backwards when he was explaining it with his hands. When he was showing the direction it was supposed to spin, it was shown spun in the direction of a kickflip variation.
Because he is goofy
@@amiprisman6883 wdym, im goofy too
I agree with Aaron I believe after a heelflip it's the next easiest heelflip trick, I actually found it easier than a heelflip when I first started
Sick
There should be merch which says "Badaboom Badabing" on it
omg yes
No, they should make an inspirational quote tshirt that says: GIVE IT YOUR ALL, DONT STOP NOW, FULL WANGDANGA!
That infuriates me that he says that the wrong way round, and he knows exactly what he's doing!
anytime he wants to anyone to commit to a trick, “THIS IS FOR A JAMBA JUICE”
Which we've learnt 99% of the time never materializes.
😂😂😂😂
2:46 Aaron rotates a hardflip
Honestly looks more like a varial kiclflip to me doesnt flip as straight up as a hard flip
@@kylekyle2985 hardflips don't always have to be vertical they flip and spin a certain way
Its my 4th day of skating and just landed my first ollie
Loved the vid. I literally just learned to kickflip whilst in quarantine!! It's on video
The dog in the background playing is funny af 3:05
i was so concentrated on what Aron sad, I didn't even notice :D
LOL
LETS GO NEW VIDEO i’m getting ready to hit up the skate park, i’ll definitely be trying this today.
You guys need to do Andy Anderson vs Jason park
andy´s board likes to do varials.. i got it in test right now, and i like it. shred for life
Inward heels are for sure easier than varial heels-for me, at least.
inward heelflip and hardflip is the easiest tricks for me
seeing that gripart hoping it was made by a special someone made me really happy
Definitely one of the most satisfying tricks to learn 👌
Thanks my 2019 varial heel wasn’t working that well
I've been trying to get this one for a very long time. some great insights here
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH so if i lean back itll help, thank you so much Aaron
I was just looking for this last week😂
hey i kid you not after watching this video i learned it in less than 30 minutes. thank you!
Braille should really consider adding more tricks to the trick guide on the website.
Thanks ak. Learned it in about 10 mins
I just randomly tried this and did it in a few tries now im watching this to make sure it was the right trick 😂😂
Really My fav skatekontent dude
I find it funny that I don’t know how to heel flip but I can do a varial heel flip
Moges with the Anderson board!! Nice
Varial heel is easier than regular heel for me. I can't heelflip, but I can varial heelflip sometimes.
I can’t heelflip but I may try varial heel since I love front shoves
how long did it take you guys ?
@@st66zy74 To nail a varial heel. Maybe i can do 1 in like 50 attempts..
I've seen mogley's varial heels before and they look fliping sickkk
please do an inward heelflip tutorial
you explained this trick very well
If I can learn to flick my skateboard the same way Aaron flicks his hair, I'll be golden
Challenge: how fast can you put together a skateboard? I would like to see this as a Guinness record.
Yo skateboarder from the San Francisco hay area how many repetitions for muscle memory do you recommend per session? Im back to the basis to refine my flips and im trying to correct my kick. Your videos for basics tricks helped me a lot.
I need help on my switch laser double heels
first heelflip variation i learned was fakie backside heel i feel like thats one of thoes tricks that just sort of come around
I have to relearn these now
Frontside heelflip and inward heelflip tuto pliz
Your the best I would not know how to do this with out you!!
Really helped im always kindda struggling with heel stuff🙏
Bruh this is a 14 min vid and it was barely uploaded.

Aye Aaron I find varial heel easier thank varial kick can u help me with that
How do make the board do a heel/kick when you're off of the board? Such a dope flick
I was learning variel kickflips and just tried this as a joke and landed it😂 I now want to frontside heel and im struggling with it.
Nice keep grinding 🔥
Could you plz give some tips for backside 180s and front shuvs?
I'll be honest: I'm no where near proficient enough on a skateboard to do this trick but I watched the entire video anyways because the puppies are adorable
I used to have a friend called Sticky Vicky, alas she is no longer with us 😔
mogleys varial heels are so clean
I do my varial and lasers with only my front foot, I literally pop and the way I flick will sling it into varial or laser depending on how hard I flick
All comes down to mastering the basics and center of gravity
Could you do a heel flip tutorial. I’ve been struggling with them for a while now.
hes done heelflip tutorials
i'm stoked after that
I hope i can follow ur tutorial step by step while watching but not cuz it's still quarantine
can u do more tutorials on transition like nose blunts and smiths
That intro was clean though...
Okay so i can v heel pretty decent but now i always miss the flick and i always land on the board upside down or primo and idk how to flick any faster bc if i do i just miss the flick completely. If there’s any tips u can give me id greatly appreciate it
Who else had to watch this video twice bc the first time they were just watching the doggos?
*see's 14min long* "yea we onto the next"
Something bout Aaron we don’t know about...this trick hard af
When Mo Fs shuv it heel flips , it reminds me of Nigel’s flick on a hardflip
Griptape have a reason for where all the cuts are I assume? If so hope there a video for it to try out if it helps.
mogely's griptape is so dopeee
Learn big heels Aaron in a few of them u do a halfway rotation with it maybe try it fakie
