Seiryu stone and spider wood is all I have to choose from in my city. Aqua scaping is not a thing here in Hervey Bay Queensland Australia. I picked up this hobby late last year and love it. I donated a tank with my scape to restaurant and people love it and ask if it's "real" "where can I buy it"( they thinking it's plastic and can buy whole tank set up like that) And I'm umm 😅 you can't just buy it you have to put it together. So it just a small 45cmx30x25 tank With seriyu stone with a hand made bonsai tree from Vietnam off eBay (because I wasn't happy with the spiderwood) " Java moss on it, and Monte Carlo. Simple but effective, just had red cherry shrimp and neon Terra's.
Your intro😂 and it is true😂 This was a beautiful, interesting, detailed and informative tutorial for selecting the hardscape and setting up a tank. You are a wonderful teacher! Yes you do have a knowledge face 😂😁 The quality of information that you and Green Aqua provides is some of the best out there!! Whenever I watch your videos, I'm always excited to see what you do and how I can apply it in my own aquascapes!! Thank you for taking you time to produce and put out these videos! Hope you and everybody there at Green Aqua has a wonderful day!! As always, I can't wait to see more!!👍🌿🐟🌱🙏
Thanks for the kind comment Mary, as always! We try to bring up new ideas and inspiration for you guys, I'm happy you can apply what you see here in your scapes! Our mission is accomplished, thanks for the support!
Exactly the information I've been looking for and then some. I needed something comprehensive and introductory. This is it, now I have more options to choose from.
In almost all aquarium building videos, if you take a bird's flight view when the hardscape is completed, it will help give an idea in terms of both decoration and maintance. Additionally, a comprehensive video on what we should pay attention to when creating a hardscape would also be very useful.
I have always had fish since I was a kid but this channel is what introduced me to the beautiful world of aquascaping! Keep up the great informative videos! Wish I had a shop like this in Chicago with all that beautiful hardscape! I’m definitely hooked on aquascaping! Thanks everyone at green aqua! Congrats again Tommy on placing so well in the iaplc!
Wow I didn't realize the contest tank took 3 weeks to glue all the stones. That just truly shows the dedication of the Green Aqua team to showing the beautiful world of aquascaping to the world. Im a newbie in the "beauty world of aquascaping" Learned lots fm your channel, thank you! Im so in love with these pretty stones, trying so hard to limit with the number of tanks Im keeping. Perhaps for us here in Indonesia, we can enjoy this hobi in much cheaper cost than you guys there in Europe.
Thank you soooo much for adding that video 3 weeks after I've started my 90gal. I hate you guys lol! And to all of you wondering I got one thing to tell you - if you use roots: Step 1 - attach huge stones to sink it. Step 2 add even bigger and heavier stones to it just to make sure it doesnt float. I stopped after step 1 and after filling up the water the whole scape went to sh... so I had to start all over again and I felt like crying. Seriously you would not believe how dedicated to floating roots are lol.
I am just starting to get into aquariums and this video is a priceless chest of knowledge for me. Will look into all your vids. Perfect presentation, editing was great, music was epic and the presenter is top-notch! Humor was adequate and not annoying. Subscribed and liked! 👍🇵🇭

Beautiful and inspiring video. Using it for my college assignment where we are to review and evaluate a tutorial. Thanks to you guys, I am getting an A!!! Awesome tutorial and has all the elements we have been learning about in the creating tutorials part of our Technical Communication course at Purdue! :-) This has amazing visuals, great graphics, exciting sound and very interesting narration by an eloquent speaker with a great sense of humor. Great info on hardscaping and aquarium environment. Plus I am an aquarist so I will be using a lot of the tips in this video. Thank you!!!
Very informative and one of the very interesting topic 😍😍👍👍👍. I do agree that initially we will start with minimum resources and try to think that it will create something heavy. But after few months when i started following green aqua..the art of Aquascaping is really changed in my mind.. Now in my 60p I have try to did what I learned mostly from green aqua videos. Also thinking to do some major changes for next year IALPC 😊😊
Im a beginner and im planning to have my first planted tank. I learned here that rocks would make the water hard 😂 i gotta put that in mind. Im planning to start with a nano tank and build up experience in keeping and maintaining it before i move to larger tanks.
Good luck with your tanks Josh, and welcome to the channel. Don't forget that the more you experience the more you'll know, check out our beginner's tutorials for more info on how to avoid the typical mistakes.
Great video Balazs! Lots of info and great ideas for hardscaping! My first aquascape I used Dragon Stone, love the texture and detailed look in the tank. I found a new one called Elephant Stone here in the US. Love the look, texture and detail. Definitely want to use in my next aquascape soon.
I like all of your videos and work! It's soo relaxing to look at. 😅❤ I hope you do a video on the different plats and how to plant them. Or more exactly not to plant them. Like roots that grows and are not hidden if you plant them in some way.

@@GreenAquaShop sorry. I have a question. At min. 10:00 you said once algae start to grow on the Seiryu stone means there will less calcium in the water?. Also I'm happy to know frodo stone has less calium, I like it. I'm thinking to make a 45P like yours, but different. Greetings!

wonderful, as always !! Green Aqua, a question....what can I put under the rocks to protect the glass and that does not alter the water values? thank you !!
Great information here! I did an acid soak (use extreme caution) with my Seiryu before scaping my tank... I have not had an issue with any hardening of the water with 35 pounds of stone in a 40 gallon tank. Maybe I am just lucky. As always, I love all the information that you continue to contribute to this wonderful community.
Yeah, that would remove some of the Calcium residue from the outside. But it is a very dangerous thing to do. :) I did that before, never again. :) Cheers!
@@GreenAquaShop It was "exciting" that is for sure.
