Cool! I think this is the most transparant video everrr about living abroad. Been questioning this about a lot of countries. Thanks to you Bulgaria is cristal clear! THANKS
Love Bulgaria! Spent a month there in 2010. Sophia was great a but varna was a highlight of the trip. These are some great tips. Its always nice to get inside information from a local. Thank you! Now subscriber here!
Super, Its great when you spend a month+ somewhere rather than the usual 2 weeks. In a month you get a better idea of a country. Happy I was able to give an insight to the things 10 years later
great video, I'm hoping to move there in 2022.visited Sofia in 2018 can't wait to move. I took train from Istanbul to Sofia. I can't wait to see Varna. Great video
This is packed with helpful infos that can help a lot in budgeting the cost of living there . I like it that you don't just sit down at home and talk about the prices but even going out for us to get a feel of how it is there like in shopping, going to the phone company, etc. Thanks.
I am living in Australia right now, but can't wait to visit Bulgaria and maybe move there. Hopefully, I will be able to transfer my ecommerce business there as well. After expensive Australia, Bulgaria will be extremely affordable.
Yes comparing to Australia, Bulgaria is super cheap....especially if you come with an international business that can produce a salary like Western Europe
Thank you for the wonderful information Gareth. You really do give so much insight as to daily life and living costs for people who might be thinking to re locate. Very helpful so I'm giving a thumbs up! Dee Hanbury
Hi! First time over your channel here! The content is very varied and complete! Congrats! I've been to Bulgaria for the first time last month, but I only got to visit Sofia. I'm sure I'll be back in the country to visit Varna. Greetings from a uruguayan living in Spain.
You definitely should, and there is a lot more to see. The country has a vast history and a vibrant culture. There is a beautiful landscape with everything you would like to see and more is here. Well worth an trip 😉
my biggest dream is to move over to varna and start over again over there or buy a vacantion house in varna , its the most amazing place to live or have a nice time out for relaxing
This video is a great source of detailed information for pricing on everything from grocery items to services. I wish there was a break down for the American dollar as well. We don't actually have open markets like this where I live.
really helpful to start the video off with the conversion technique! This was so interesting to see! In Switzerland, the cost of a cup of coffee would be 6-7 Francs (5+ Euro at least)! I miss having a nice affordable cup of coffee!
It’s also very important that the coffee taste good also, here can be a little bit or miss sometimes but when you find your coffee shop you just stick to it
The good thing about living in Bulgaria is that it is like almost every country in Europe, a lot similar things, but the standard is way cheaper and people are also kind.
They are very good points you make, though what I think is not so correct is that you must wait to get cosmetics and medicines on deal to get them for the prices in Germany. Most things are cheap if you are above average salary or taking salary from outside the country. I think the other regions average salaries need to catch up a little to that of Sofia
Very interesting your video. I appreciat you show a lot respect for people who work selling vegetables, fruits, fish and others produce. I´m from Cuba. Compare with my country, Bulgaria is more cheaper. I would like request you if you make a video about the schools there for children, specially International School, its cost per year. I have been thinking about going to live there with my family. bless you

I'm from Bulgaria and I just want to say that it's much more beautiful than Germany, France, Spain, etc. We have the most beautiful nature and we have interesting culture, history and tradition. Do u know that Bulgaria is created in 7th century?!! It's a great place to leave! Not as rich as America, but still good❤️ Love your videos! You have good bulgarian!
It really is a super beautiful country, Definitely more than any other country I have been to. I agree it really is a great place to live. The oldest country Europe. Thank you for the nice words, I hope I can reach the audience that don’t yet know the beauty of Bulgaria 🇧🇬❤️🤩
Do you have a 1 bedroom apartment? How much do you pay by the month ? Also that was Very informative. It seems most people who do these pricings are never as thorough as you were. So Thank You so much for that.
No, I actually live in the apartment of my wife’s parents. The usual rent in Varna for a one bedroom is about 600-800 lv for 50m2 one bedroom apartment. There is obviously more expensive the closer to the centre and more luxury
@@ATasteofBulgaria Varna, I spoke with an agent. But also because I'm a US citizen, there's no direct flights to US and they require me to have some kind of essential travel document. As for the Dinner the restaurant I was talking about actually was a bit of an upscale place, and as I say in the video it was a 3 course meal for two people with drinks, and that it is also possible to find cheaper
yes, i will be in Varna at the beginning of April. do you have any specific lawyer to recommend to oversee a MODEST apartment purchase in Varna Bulgaria?

Portugal minimum (and 70% of the jobs) wage : 750 Bulgaria minimum wage : 600 . But those 600 are worth 1200 if we do the math right.
