i appreciate you are presenting our home ! Im a german foreigner whos living for many years now and i love my city ! Varna is a mix of the traditional bulgarian culture and modernity and communist block looking like areas mixxed with antique fascinating architecture as well as modern and interesting building and a enslowing peaceful atmosphere stuffed with dozens of lovely and happy peoples :) Varna feels like how germany has used to be in the 2000s the time has literally stopped and you can enjoy a good life

I spent some days in Varna years ago and I like it! I plan to convince my german music group to perform in Bulgaria for german tourists or Brits. We can sing in 6 different languages!I speak Bulgarian too and will be a fun to see the new generation of Bulgarians!

3:30 -very negative opinion.. No, people are not rude here, some can be, but very rarely you'll meet someone like that. You can't just generalize. The tourist traps were something in the past I think. Now everywhere is equally expensive. Just avoid sketchy looking people and places in general and keep an eye on your belongings if you travel by bus or walking in crowds.

good question - I'm planning a visit but unless they have traditional fish n chips and stella then I'll probably go somewhere else

@@bgdriver4528 ... it's a seaside city, what do you suppose? Ofcourse we have some great fish here, lol. You just need to know where to look :) I'd offer you a tip, go to the one next to the Trainstation. It's good and cheap.

There is also another story. Of the periodically disappearing middle class, due to rampant corruption, lack of justice, and frequent bankruptcies due to politicly enabled monopolies. So you emigrate and come back to be prayed upon the same people now over building using shady practices. Green spaces are diminishing rapidly, and high-rise ugly buldings is changing the mood forever. Bulding regulations are been highjacked to fit the enormous durty money laundry mashine that is now Varna. Every port town comes with shady busines, here with a russian twist.
