Another comment: I buff Thrall with jester and buff dmg with star crack till he got angry. He Saitama on Horrid Shrieker into oblivion. So I think it's possible to use Thrall going one punch on heart too.

i once had a thrall called jorick. he went o na adventure in the weald with 3 others: a ocultist, darkwraith and a bounty hunter. on the last part of the adventure it went to hell. the darkwraith got slain, the ocultist went mad and the thrall was almost at the brink insanity. then he lost it. he went ferocius and killed the mad ocultist. with no healer they thought to be done,. . . however. there was one more battle to be won. to get this far and fall so low they pressed on. this was poor decision and the bounty hunter died virtues by the hand of an Harrying Gnasher. the thrall was at 0HP and with his last efford he activated his ripost. and i waited for him to die by the next blow. . . . but he refused. the gnasher got demolished by the thrall's ripost, he was bleeding now but he pressed on. the next 2 gnashers met a similair demise, getting a hit and bleed on the thrall but dying themselfs. then there was one gnasher left. he got a hit in but doged the ripost. and still, with a 9 dmg per round bleed he refused to die. this went on for 2 rounds before finaly the thrall made the killing blow on the gnasher. . and being the only survivor of the adventure.

The Thrall is of course a scholar, he studied Anatomy and Eldritch beasts before being enslaved, that is why he knows where to hit for maximum critical damage.
Should make a joke character where he is super lucky, he always Crits and dodges But every time he dodge an attack It get reflect on to a random team mate with greatly enhanced effect Also he can't get stressed but instead has a good feels bar When the bar is full he will sing a song, which infuriate the team and causes them to gain high amounts of stress while also gaining negative quirks. He also refuses to enter the dungeon without a full roster cuz more the merrier.
One favorite combo of mine is to put the Thrall's Stampeding Buckler trinket (ACC, SPD, DMG in rank 4) and a Quick Draw Charm (SPD, Crit round 1) and just Trample Crit the front 3 at the start of every fight. That's a potential 15-50 dmg at the start of every fightto rank 1-3. Sweet baby jeezus.
A friend of mine had an... interesting early-game experience with a Thrall. It was during the Necromancer Apprentice fight in the Ruins. Things were looking great; the boss was consistently being dragged up to the front for the Thrall to punish, and it got to where the boss was ONE hit away from dying... ..... and then everything went to hell. Through some ungodly shenanigans, the enemy managed get the team's Thrall and Lamia both Afflicted, and then the Thrall decided to take out his newest frustrations on the team's Vestal... twice... putting her on Death's Door. The Lamia can't do much in this situation, the Vestal's hanging on by a thread, Thrall's going nuts; only one not in god-awful shape is a Bounty Hunter and unfortunately, the boss decided to put himself in a position where that one wasn't too great where things sat either. Needless to say, my friend decided to cut his losses and GTFO. Thankfully everybody somehow fled that hellhole alive even if they did come back with a ton of stress, but good GOD... Being that close, and then having all of that happen in the span of a couple of quick turns. Someone was NOT on his side day.
i have a thrall that is an absolute beast with the 4 trincket mods besides he has corvid's eye, slugger and precise striker, his name is klevon witch literally means mountain, and is an african name
alvarox, I'm not sure I'm familiar with which trinket mods you mean, but that is definitely the way to play a Thrall. :) I used to think the Thrall was just massively powerful and he can feel like that at times until late game when you really do need to improve on his accuracy. But if you do, he starts to just demolish specific fights with his riposte and heavy hits. :-)
YEET SWOLE BOI Is here! Great work E5! I highly recomend like I did with The Sisters is getting Miller's pipe crystaline trinket on him. (If you have CoM dlc) which on each kill, he gets.. -2 Stress healed off him and some cheap blight dmg and if they die by the blight that's an extra -2 stress healed! You can even use Coat of many colors crystal trinket on him too if you dislike the pipe. which is similar to miller's pipe but instead of -2 stress healed is a buff for less stress received and an accuracy buff of +2ACC with each kill. Both Miller's pipe and coat costs 180 crystals which is quite pricey but if you are fan of Thrall or Sister's is totally worth checking these trinkets out!.

Hey TheWanderingZebra! -- Yes! The Snake Charmer has been a lot of fun lately, even in its earliest state. One of its developers, Mhnlo, came by my stream and we talked about its current balance state and they mentioned making a few changes and re-thinking camping skills. Overall, I think it's a wonderful first attempt at a modded class and is a lot of fun. The Butcher Bird has some neat ideas and an interesting backstory but feels pretty rough to me still at this point. It has wildly loud animations in its current version and is likely to see some changes here, I think. :)
ElementFive Ye, the Butcher Bird could use some fine tuning. Still enjoy using her repoise though. Can't wait to see more of these vids in the future! There are a few class mods I'm not entirely sure how to use properly (mostly Exaelus' mods).
i brought two thralls into the 2 darkest dungeon, they were both fercoius, BUT I'LL BE DAMN IF THEY DIDNT PUNCH THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYTHIG, i also brought two healers to keep them alive and its amazing
Game of thrones? No dude, no. It's inspired by the roman era gladitorial combat. The Thrall is basically a slave, and the thumbs down thing is inspired by roman because that was what Caesar himself used to do to determine the victors fate. Doesn't matter if GOT copied it.
Using the thrall is amazing. For some inexplicable reason, every time I do a party with him he usually gets little stress, and oh boy can he serve as a tank. 30+ hp allows him to take a beating and his punch is enough to send anybody straight to the ground, I love using him, and since he can also heal he usually doesnt even need a healer on him immediately, allowing me to use a heal on people who really need it while him himself can tend to his own wounds
As of now, the thrall takes stress damage whenever he's hit. Which makes him much harder to play. I don't even bother taking him without a jester constantly stress healing him

hopefully the developers of darkest dungeon will look at the mods coming out and try to include some of them as official classes. I am also hoping that they include two versions of every class, a male and female version, just to add variability to the game.

i used a vestal, plague doctor, thrall and a lepper against the swine prince a boss that in my firts run killed 3 good heroes because i killed the smal pig first but learned my lesson the lepper and thrall fucking DELETED the swine prince
Ngl all of these modded classes appear pretty weak, I understand you want balance and trade offs but these modded classes have terrible stat blocks and the negative trade offs are pretty harsh.
the thrall is a amazing class, i play him with the Cursed Trinkets mod, and the Edge of madness is absolutly insane on him. +50% DMG +7%crit, +10ACC and -80% stress when your character is Afflicted the perfect trinket for this pure machine of destruction. And all cursed trinkets have the passive "cursed to live", you gain +13% deathblow resist and -25% stress" if your character carry two cursed trinkets. Combine this character with the Jester and the Monk, an other class mod, and you got a super resilient and devastating team.
As with any slow character, I reccomend the Quick draw Charm; going first as a heavy hitter swings tempo in your favor by getting off a massive attack!
My favorite comp with the thrall isn't really viable most of the time but eh, Thrall in rank 1 with main, gore, indomitable, and savagery equipped with melee damage trinkets with a Flagellant and Plague Doctor, with another of your choice but I usually go with a vestal. At camp you punching bag the flagellant for the damage buff, first round savagery with emboldening vapor spam, if you hit it is glorious, 100+ damage never felt so good. Forgot to add, my reasoning for bringing a Flagellant is because him taking a lot of damage can be remedied by bringing exsanguinate or redeem along with the fact that he gets buff while at low health.
I use tremors when I've killed everyone but the very back position 4 enemy and maybe can't reach them. so you use tremors and it will target the only enemy left and will usually bounce them forward into a spot where you can reach them.
it gives the houndmaster a useful 4th skill really. I often find I just use his 2 bleed attacks and the 3rd and 4th skill are never touched. this way you could stress heal the big guy as well, so at least getting some more use from the HM in a bleed group. I normally have Hellion up front though for that sweet long reach, she is my favourite front row character in the game. I guess I would drop the hellion for this guy, then have the Flagellanbt in row 2, doggy boy in row 3 and the occultist in row 4.

If you're playing Darkest Dungeon on Steam, you simply have to "subscribe" to the mod and then open the game, find your save file, and mouse over to the right of it to the "Mods" list (looks like a torch iirc) and click it in. :)
Here is a fun combo put the trinket that heals on enemy kill (including bleed death) add a trinket that increase the damage equal to his remaining health then have him repost you will never have to heal him again

As I recall, the Pit Fighter is one of AJ's first mods. I adore Action Jack. Like many modders in the community, AJ is a great guy and came onto the scene with a *ton* of great ideas. The Pit Fighter might share some similarities with the Thrall, though most people compare it to the Leper in terms of accuracy, speed, frontline-dependency and lack of movement. Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for. If you like Muscarine's art style, his characters are very polished. If you're looking for something closer to the game's aesthetic, it's hard to do better than Marvin Seo. S-Purple's projects are pretty phenomenal and beautiful, Mhenlo and Baybot's Snake Charmer is one of my favorites.. Baalgin's stuff, Carnifex's recent classes like the Succi, O'Nightmare, Chogex' boss/enemies, etc.. If you look through my video series, you'll see quite a few mods, all done by modders worth your time. :)

He's pretty good with Jester and Ringmaster mod both of them can stress heal and both have bleed skill

the thrall is a amazing class, i play him with the Cursed Trinkets mod, and the Edge of madness is absolutly insane on him. +50% DMG +7%crit, +10ACC and -80% stress when your character is Afflicted the perfect trinket for this pure machine of destruction. And all cursed trinkets have the passive "cursed to live", you gain +13% deathblow resist and -25% stress" if your character carry two cursed trinkets. Combine this character with the Jester and the Monk, an other class mod, and you got a super resilient and devastating team.
The incredible thrall
As with any slow character, I reccomend the Quick draw Charm; going first as a heavy hitter swings tempo in your favor by getting off a massive attack!
My favorite comp with the thrall isn't really viable most of the time but eh,
Thrall in rank 1 with main, gore, indomitable, and savagery equipped with melee damage trinkets with a Flagellant and Plague Doctor, with another of your choice but I usually go with a vestal.
At camp you punching bag the flagellant for the damage buff, first round savagery with emboldening vapor spam, if you hit it is glorious, 100+ damage never felt so good. Forgot to add, my reasoning for bringing a Flagellant is because him taking a lot of damage can be remedied by bringing exsanguinate or redeem along with the fact that he gets buff while at low health.
So he's a leper, but with more leper.
I use tremors when I've killed everyone but the very back position 4 enemy and maybe can't reach them. so you use tremors and it will target the only enemy left and will usually bounce them forward into a spot where you can reach them.
it gives the houndmaster a useful 4th skill really. I often find I just use his 2 bleed attacks and the 3rd and 4th skill are never touched. this way you could stress heal the big guy as well, so at least getting some more use from the HM in a bleed group.
I normally have Hellion up front though for that sweet long reach, she is my favourite front row character in the game. I guess I would drop the hellion for this guy, then have the Flagellanbt in row 2, doggy boy in row 3 and the occultist in row 4.

If you're playing Darkest Dungeon on Steam, you simply have to "subscribe" to the mod and then open the game, find your save file, and mouse over to the right of it to the "Mods" list (looks like a torch iirc) and click it in. :)

Is it possible to use medicinal herbs to get rid of the debuff you get from savagery or is there some kinda catch to it?
Here is a fun combo put the trinket that heals on enemy kill (including bleed death) add a trinket that increase the damage equal to his remaining health then have him repost you will never have to heal him again
Makes me wish I had a gaming pc so I could enjoy these mods

I see so many similaritiers with the pit fighter i truly want your opinion about this class and if you recomend it or not.
Whick modders do you suggest?
As I recall, the Pit Fighter is one of AJ's first mods. I adore Action Jack. Like many modders in the community, AJ is a great guy and came onto the scene with a *ton* of great ideas.
The Pit Fighter might share some similarities with the Thrall, though most people compare it to the Leper in terms of accuracy, speed, frontline-dependency and lack of movement.
Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for. If you like Muscarine's art style, his characters are very polished. If you're looking for something closer to the game's aesthetic, it's hard to do better than Marvin Seo. S-Purple's projects are pretty phenomenal and beautiful, Mhenlo and Baybot's Snake Charmer is one of my favorites.. Baalgin's stuff, Carnifex's recent classes like the Succi, O'Nightmare, Chogex' boss/enemies, etc..
If you look through my video series, you'll see quite a few mods, all done by modders worth your time. :)
