Hey yogis, this week I'm offering you an hour long class (okay.. 55 minutes..) that focuses all on your hamstrings! If you've been trying to improve your lower body flexibility, this is it!
You'll need 2 blocks and a strap for this practice!
We'll play around with some poses like half happy baby, half and full splits, wide forward fold, pyramid pose and reclining leg stretches and many more.
This is an intermediate practice that focuses more on stretching rather than strengthening, but you can still expect a bit of a workout from this class :) Music by bensound: www.bensound.co...

Usually when practicing for splits I get so determined and push myself past my limits. To remedy this, the intention I set for this class was to smile throughout the duration of this practice. If I caught myself grimacing, it meant I went to far and would gently remind myself that I needed to back off until I could genuinely smile without forcing it. I definitely recommend trying this! It is an exceptionally humbling and mindful experience. Thank you Kassandra for sharing this practice with us.

Did this one again today and realised I forgot to comment first time. I really enjoyed this, like most of us I’m working on my overall flexibility including the splits. This was great as it flowed beautifully and had a good pace, so got the heat generating all the way through and everything stretched out. A lot of flexibility flows are quite slow Yin based, and this slowed towards the end which was great, but I thoroughly enjoyed the lead up with more vinyasa movement to limber your up to it. Great instruction all the way through as always. Thankyou Kassandra. 💋

I want to mention that I like that after the Shavasana we come out of it properly and end the practice properly and sometimes even with an ohm. (Unlike others on you tube). Keep these long flexibility sessions coming.

Your videos to achieve and deepen splits are by far the best I've seen in UA-cam!! The flows are so incredibly useful and I have noticed soooo much improvement. A year ago I was unable to reach down the floor and now I have my splits but the videos still helping me square the hips further ... Thank youuu!!! You are one of a kind :)
I was avoiding this class for a while because I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do the splits. Eventually I really enjoyed this practice and got further with my right leg into the splits then I expected. The left side was a little harder but tried it anyway. Really love these full classes with a warmup, more fast past movement and a cool down. Namaste 💫🍀💕
My intention for this class was not to be disappointed if I couldn't get close to the floor in the splits (former super flexible gymnast). And it worked! I was already very happy with here I got and it wasn't too far off the ground either :). Great class, I will be doing it again soon!
Wow, such an amazing class for hamstring and psoas ! I have a really hard time getting into splits, I think I'll do this class often to stretch my legs, thanks a lot ! :)

I love this class! I am really enjoying the one hour sessions. Due to time constraints I had been practicing for thirty minutes or less, which I will still do when I am short on time. Now I have more time and I have been enjoying the longer sessions! Thanks again Kassandra! This was such a great flow to do with the current stormy weather we're having in Belgium. At one point my WiFi went down, which kinda disturbed my practice, but thankfully it came back pretty fast so I could continue this perfect class! My hammies loved it! Thank you Kassandra 😍💗

Oh my goodness, my hamstrings needed that. Thanks so much for the great class. I am glad I tried the splits... I got closer to the ground than I thought I would and the support of the block really helped. I appreciate how well you explain pose modifications along the way. Gets me to try things I would not otherwise try. 😀

Hi Kasandra. Firstly thank you for free videos. I am starting to do yoga at home with you. And i feel like your are teaching beside me not on TV. Your voice is calm and relaxing. Pls can you make video about arms-(strong arms)intense video.a lot of arms act pls(if possible 1 hour video ). Second about balance. Only balance moviments again 1 hour. Of course if it possible. I wish i was able to be calm as you☺️.

Will this strenghten and stretch hip flexors as well?
There are quite a few poses that focus on the hip flexors since we're prepping for full splits :) Less about strength more about stretch though!
