AT her heaviest, Danitza Casas, 32, from Scottsdale, Arizona weighed 350lbs. Nicknamed ‘Gordita’ or 'Chubby girl', when she was young, the weight gain accelerated in Danitza’s adult years when she partied hard and lived on a diet of unhealthy junk food. Outwardly Danitza seemed confident and the life of the party but inside she admits using humour and a larger than life personality to mask her insecurities and the disgust she felt with her body. After going to the hospital for what she thought was a heart attack - but in fact turned out to be a panic attack, Danitza knew she needed to change her lifestyle. Starting with short walks, she progressed to spin classes, then met her personal trainer Bo, losing 200lbs.

I remember at my lowest point, I hated that quote. I knew it was the truth. I also knew I couldn't count on myself to save myself from myself who seemed to sabotage everything. Then I fell into hopelessness.
That is where I found a higher power to believe in. Whether it's really out there or not, choosing to put my hope in I something outside of the weak person I thought I was, gave me the strength to take the baby steps I needed to to help myself out of a deep depression.

Having a good support system is truly key, she looks amazing and I'm really happy for her, I wish it was possible for every person who is the size she was or bigger to be able to afford the help of a personal trainer.
These videos are my absolute favourite because they show these amazing individuals who worked their butts off to achieve what they truly wanted and just turned their life around 180. They're also the nicer human beings around because they've experienced the lows and struggles. Honour should also be given to the personal trainers who are genuinely kind and want the best for their clients. I've read so many stories where the PTs are actually jackasses and secretly laugh at the clients behind their backs. Shame the hell on them. We all start somewhere.

seriously i was going to make a chocolate cake and put icing on it and give up on my dieting...i suffer from lymphedema as well as being obese..yes morbidly...I have to lose it..but on my terms..not someone else's..thank you for making me put the cake box back in the cupboard..

Those videos' intent was not to glamorize obesity. I am very certain their intent was to show that your weight does not determine your worth. No matter what you weigh, you are equal to everyone.
Eating until it hurt is how I used to live before my weight loss journey.

Thanks for sharing this message. It's so refreshing to watch real results and understand that when you lose weight, that's not the end of the journey because once you are fat, even if your body is smaller, you're still fat. It means you have to stay focused and disciplined about food, exercise and habits to maintain what you achieved. She did an awesome job during 4 years, she's not coming back and she's finally happy with herself. Lots of love for the ones that are starting the process or the ones who want to quit. This requires time and every decision towards your goal counts: Are you bored? Go for that online hiit class! Eat that damn apple instead of the chocolate! Drink your two litres of water instead of the soda! One potatoe less than yesterday will do it! Obsessed with cake?... start dancing with some video on youtube!... Just stay focused and the future you will be grateful. I know this because I'm in the middle of the process, I know for experience how sad it could be. Stay Strong people!

Thank you for not elaborating or blaming the surgeon...these things just unpredictably and unfortunately can happen. Those are heavy scars 😢 it's good that she's not self conscious about them. Losing weight is 80% diet, 20% exercise. Don't know why exercise is promoted so much more than what you eat 🤷🏼♀️
Maybe because people's idea of fitness is athletes and people who go hard, that's good and all but just watching your diet sensibly and moderate exercise is enough to avoid health problems, and still be better looking than most.
I think it depends on the person. I have never been able to lose weight by changing my diet unless i was literally starving myself. The only thing that worked for me was actually working out. I have to do both.
I agree with you! Maybe it's because seeing someone exercising is way more exciting to watch than someone eating a salad but i completely agree that they should have mentioned that she changed her diet which was the reason her body changed
I suppose because the market of gyms and fitness programs relies in part on people who are trying to loose weight. If someone thinks they can eat like a pig and then exercise it all off they'd be a client for much longer.

Great job you look amazing, I am currently on my weight loss journey. One thing I took from this video is that as long as I am constant with eating healthy and exercising then it doesn’t matter how long it takes. I use to put my self down because I figured it was taking too long and I would set unrealistic goals for myself but I’m grateful I know better know ❤️.
