I recently went to a dermatologists to have a patch test done. It showed I was allergic to specifically black and red dyes. I break out in a painful raised red rash. This sucks because 90% of my clothing is black 😅. I am also allergic to the chemical that makes rubber stretchy.
attack of the bots
Oh no
What's the first link?
Just Black and Red dyes is weird. Black dye is based off of other colors- a red based dye is more than possible, I had a pair of gloves with a red based black dye, but blue and brown based blacks are FAR more common these days. But you're not allergic to those. I'd suggest talking to your allergist about the ingredients or chemicals IN the dyes, because if it's actually a dye ingredient then you may run into trouble elsewhere.

Sun allergy is also a thing with Morticia Addams (the original adams family series) where there is an episode where her husband Gomez Addams opens the window and theres light but their pet plant hates light. So he closes the window because Morticia hates light. Meaning that canonically, Wednesdays allergic to color is genetic
i have that but i only snese
bro is onto something
gonna fix that.
@@engriskovaci805 it's pretty common.
@toastbeb Porphyria would make sense since victims can often have hallucinations, and Wednesday has visions. It's taken to the magical extreme, but yeah. Except we see Wednesday's face in the light, and she doesn't look like Freddy Krueger. So maybe? Maybe not.
Fun fact: I actually AM allergic to color, I just not in my clothes. I can't eat artificial colors in food. I don't have a typical allergic reaction, but they give me weird mood swings and headaches. Maybe something for a Food Theory at a later date?
SHUT UP BOT. Anyway that would be a cool theory.
@im sacred dude, don't join in comment spamming. It makes everyone have less fun and it's not even actually that funny.
Hmmm

@im sacred Stop it, get some help
It’s so funny: this weekend I met a girl who showed me a giant scar because apparently she was allergic to the green color of her new tattoo. And I was travelling with another girl and she got weird spots on her hand and when I asked about them, she told me that she is allergic to sunlight and that her skin does this every year in spring 😢 This episode feels like fate to me.😅
I get those spots on my hands as well, AND my arms and neck get itchy if I don't apply sunscreen in the summer. Luckily, it can be prevented through careful exposure in low-UV conditions, but I find it difficult to have bare arms in early spring due to the temperature. My face is never affected, because it receives sunlight year-round.
That’s why I recommend getting color swatching done on your skin before tattooing
I have another hypothesis:
Suppose Wednesday is allergic to the vast majority of commonly used dyes in the textile industry, and all of her clothes are in fact custom ordered with one very special type of dye that she isn't allergic to, but is effectively monochrome and, when diluted, becomes grey instead of blue, green, or purple.
Would it be expensive? Yes, but the Addams family is pretty darn wealthy, so it's not outside the realm of possibility. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Gomez or Morticia owned a company that makes and sells clothes, which would make it slightly less expensive to get Wednesday's hypoallergenic-dyed clothes (outsourcing can make things quite pricey).
So a wide arrange of similar allergies
What if I put that dye in my shoes and start stomping her out brutally?
This is what I was thinking ♥️
That sounds like something much more plausible. I don't think anyone that actually has light sensitive skin would claim to be "allergic to color". I'd bet most of the ones in real life still wear colorful protective clothing (like the one shown in the video with the helmet). Of course, I'm pretty sure the real reason is she is just being snarky about her dislike of colors.
@@SgtSupaman Well, no one with a normal brain would. But she is known for overcomplicating things for no other reason than to be an insufferable know-it-all.
Back in the mid to late 2000s, aka my high gothic phase, I found out that I had an allergy to certain black fabric dyes... Had to wear white for weeks to get rid of those rashes. Absolutely crushed my self esteem as a creature of the dark 😂

I have severe visual/ light sensitivity, especially to colors. Being outside during the day gives me migraines and being surrounded by/ having to wear color also gives me pretty significant headaches. A symptom of my migraines is a burning sensation that makes me wanna scratch at my arms- and if i do it makes my skin peel. I honestly didn't question any of it. I've dressed in near all black since i was 10.
Interesting, is there a name for it? I wanna read about it because all I can think of is a possible sub category of epalepsy. You wont go into shock but skin irritation and migrains are common to weaker forms of it
@@theamericankaiser4549 im not epileptic. I've actually been tested for that. Its actually mostly just sensory issues but some nerve damage as well. Primary just *severe light sensitivity* tho
Wednesday could have a phobia of color which could make her actually have a serious reaction to interacting with it. While it’s not an allergy it seems more plausible.
Wednesday being allergic to the sun would actually unironically be in character for the Addams Family franchise

So I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which can be neatly summed up by saying I'm Allergic to Being Alive. Some things which have thrown me into anaphylactic shock include:
- being too cold or too hot
- eating solid foods
- strong emotions (this is a big one)
The intense joint inflammation that comes with mast cell attacks also knocks my bones and soft tissue out of place.
That said, I'm thinking that if Wednesday's allergy had a Mast Cell condition attached, her allergy to color or the emotions she experiences around specific colors could, in fact, make her skin peel off, and if her joints swell enough the muscles and ligaments i.e. flesh could peel off of her bones.
Theory solidified lol
Edit: Whoa, I did not expect all the sweet replies on my stubborn theory comment!! Thank you all so very much! I tried to respond to each one of you, but to everyone who expressed concern, yes, I am thankfully doing much better with proper treatment.
If you know anyone with suspected MCAS or other mast cell disorders, the Mast Cell Disease Society has printable instructions for emergency room personnel and doctors to keep your loved ones safe! Thank you for caring.

I just hope you don't pass that issues
and the strong emotions point!

Wednesday must prevent herself from feeling too much, lest her emotional and physical sensitivity to love tear her apart from the inside out
i knew a woman who was allergic to the colour yellow. she couldn't touch or eat anything yellow, clothes, candies, etc.
turns out, she was allergic to a very common yellow dye. once she looked for it in packaging she noticed what would and wouldn't hurt her.
When I first started reading this, I was almost going to ask, "Was she secretly a Green Lantern?" But no, I read the rest of the comment, and I get it. Heh.
@@LamanKnight
She may still be green lantern
My brother had that
Something that I saw suggested on tiktok (it was a while back so I can’t remember who) was that Wednesday isn’t literally allergic to color but rather she gets overstimulated by color because the reaction she describes is one way it feels when you are overstimulated. The whole video was about how Wednesday’s “quirky” personality was just her being autistic coded which honestly is my personal head cannon now as an autistic individual myself.
I was about to say the same thing.
Watching this video I thought he was gonna end up saying it's psychological. She's not physically allergic to color, but mentally the idea of her being in contact with color is harmful.
What about all the other students who are wearing color tho
This.... Hives from the stress ... And skin felling like it's melting off etc. Physical rashes/hives can form from mental/emotional stress
I was going to comment the same thing, as someone in the spectrum, that's exactely how I feel when I get overstimulated, except the things that affects me the most are sound and texture
I actually have a customer that wears all white. She told me that she worked on the covers of magazines in NYC, and when they went to Africa to work on a shoot that she wore the clothes there but since returning to the US she gets contact dermatitis from dyed clothing (but not bleached). She said this started 15 years ago and her doctors never found a reason or a solution so she basically had to buy a whole new wardrobe overnight.
This video was very important to me because I finally get it why my sun allergy started!! I was suspecting it was about the medicine I'm taking but now that matpad confirms that that's possible, I kinda got my theory confirmed
Edit: my mother is allergic to cold, so maybe the extra sensibility to climate is a factor too
Me too! I'm allergic to sunlight and I think I got diagnosed right after taking new medication
I'm allergic to cold to
I was expecting a more psychological angle. It's possible to experience a Nocebo Effect (negative placebo effect), so Wednesday could have Nocebo'ed herself into thinking that being in direct contact with bright, vibrant colors would cause her harm. Considering the environment that Wednesday grew up in and her mother's attitude to pastels, she could have developed a deeply rooted belief that colors were bad and would harm her. And the weird thing with the Nocebo effect, even if Wednesday isn't actually allergic to light on any physical level, she could experience physical symptoms as a result of psychological distress and her belief of what symptoms she should experience.
Regardless of the way she was raised, I find it extremely unlikely that she never encountered bright colour in her whole life, and thus still believed they would cause the skin to peel off her bones.
It's more likely that she had a traumatic experience at some point which her brain (mis)interpreted as being caused by color, and that resulted in her having electric reactions whenever she came in contact with anything colorful.
Hives can also be triggered by high levels of stress which the Nocebo effect can cause.
i was thinking something similar to this with maybe a form of ocd or something.
Came to the comments hoping to see something like what you said perfectly 👌 🙌🙌🙌💖
I was with you up until you mentioned that if you're allergic to UV you would have to cover even your scalp and eyes so she must be lying and while I'm sure there are some UV allergies that are that severe, I know from personal experience that not all of them are! I developed a UV allergy about 6 years ago and while I do get hives and become very itchy it only affects me in certain areas (although those areas seem to be growing unfortunately). Specifically I only react on my chest, arms, shoulders, upper back, and more recently it's started spreading to react up my neck to about where my ears are. If she had a similar allergy level as I do then the clothing precautions she makes is pretty much exactly what I do, cover the affectable area. Also, it seems that I only react to UV rays when they get to a certain level as I don't react every day or even only on sunny days and there are some sunscreens that work to block/reflect UV rays instead of absorb them that mean even on a high UV level day I can go out in a tank top. Taking this in mind, it's definitely a possibility that she does actually have a UV allergy, it just may not be as severe as you think it would have to be
Your comment sounds like my mother's condition. Like you she gets those symptoms when it's sunny and hot. I think a doctor recommended some cream to her. Didn't work on her but maybe it works on Wednesday. Anyway it's definetly one of the worst allergy ever with climate change.
That's so interesting! Hope, it doesn't continue to spread :/
Woo, thank you for this! I have Solar Urticaria, and the only area it really affects is my scalp. When he started going on about how you need to cover everything I knew that wasn't right. But it's easier to educate about one thing en mass than break it up and show the different ways it can affect. 30 minutes outside for me, and I get blood blisters on my scalp and a very aggravated sunstroke. I hope yours stops progressing, I can't imagine what it would be like to live normally and then suddenly develop this.
I myself have it to. Luckily for me, it's not bad enough to the point I need to cover up every piece of my body.
This needs to be pinned.
As a kid, I remember a neighbor I used to have who was allergic to the sun. I never got to actually see her except for once through a window and once walking with a black umbrella in her backyard. I remember being so confused about her condition. I hope she's doing well
Aww, this was so wholesome to read. Hope she's doing well too.

This video intrigued me because for a majority of my life I was genuinely allergic to a color. Something in the color blue always made me react. Whether it was blue candy, blue toys, or even blue clothes, I’d always end up in the hospital with a life threatening allergic reaction. Hives, throat closing, vomiting, anaphylactic shock, etc. It caused me to essentially live in hospitals and doctor offices for my entire childhood, and the times I was well enough to go to school were just spent getting bullied to hell and back. (Cue me getting drawn on with blue markers by classmates, then promptly getting wheeled out by paramedics 10 minutes later.) It took about 16 years, but now I’m able to mostly incorporate the color into my life. I have to take six pills a day, and get two injections twice a month, but I’d say it’s worth it! It’s actually my favorite color now! As I type this, I’m wearing blue jeans; something I’d never dream of even touching two years ago :)
Personal anecdotes aside, this was an incredibly entertaining and insightful video! Keep it up!
Wow, that’s sick dude
You can also be allergic to different colored tattoo ink. I had a red ink that I had a bad reaction to, only to change artists (and ink brands) to get that fixed. Granted, it's not a light allergy, but it is a color allergy lol
I went off with Dynamic Blue & White! Little white pimple-like bumps all up and down my arm, spreading all the way down to my wrist and up to my ear. All from a small tattoo done on my upper arm. Waited 2 months for it to calm down, then got the touch-ups in a different brand. Tattoo ink allergies are a real thing, man!
No, it isn't. It's a metal allergy, if red usually nickel.
My brother had an interesting relationship with color when we were young. His feet would peel extensively if he wore anything on his feet that had a dye in them. He could only where white socks with white shoes until he hit puberty, after that the peeling stopped.Don't know how the doctor figured that out, but kudo bars were a thing in the 90's so kudos to him.
Wednesday being allergic to the sun is actually surprisingly fitting.
Wait then why in the show she’s in the sun like… 75% of the show?
@@animator_and_gamer Well she covers her whole body from neck to toe, so she does really have some sort of protection, but it's really the face that she doesn't do anything about, well exept for her two activities that actually have face protection...

@Lynn Ezzeddine
@Maddie has a UV allergy and it only affects them in certain places on their body, you don’t necessarily have to cover all of your body. it’s actually more rare to have the reaction present on your face, scalp, neck etc because those are the parts of you that are always exposed to light and develop a tolerance
EVEN A JOJO REFERENCE!
As someone with UV light allergy I never would’ve thought I would be able to see someone doing proper research into some thing I have been suffering with for decades… I’ve always loved the contents from the theorists but hats off to y’all.
It's funny because I recently found out I'm allergic to the adhesive used on tape and bandaids. I always thought your skin being red after taking a bandaid off was normal but I had to have an IV and my skin was literally burning from the tap they used.
If you rip off a bandaid it will be red for a bit, which is normal, but adhesive allergies aren’t
@@neonheroyt no like it gets really really red and sometimes itchy
My roommate has the same allergy, but it's so bad that their skin will actually start to get goopy and peel off
As a black person I can say I have no idea what ur talking about
@@AceoftheVoid ew glad mine isn't that bad but it hurts like hell
My brother has a sensitivity to dye in clothes, specifically blue if i remember correctly.
He can still wear clothes with the color though, he just has to wash it a few times first.
(I believe what it does is reduce the amount of dye that will come off from sweat to an amount where it won't affect him)
So while the theory about UV seems to be more likely, it could still be possible that Wednesday is alergic to fabric color. Her clothes would just have to have been washed several times before she could wear them. It would explain why she could hug the roomate too, that pink jacket has probably been washed a few times at least.
Some Style Theory Ideas I Came Up With:
-Why is it bad to wear jeans to sleep? Can sleeping with jeans change your leg orientation/shape? If so, what then are the best things to wear to bed?
-I recently watched the anthony padilla video about barefooters, and I was wondering, why like their feet were less vulnerable to sharp objects? Are there benefits and evidence to back this up? Is it actually better to not wear shoes at all?
-What outfits are actually scientifically aesthetically pleasing? What are the components into having the perfect outfit? Color, Style, Hairstyle, Accessories, Brands, Top to Bottom Ratio?
Wait jeans are bad for sleeping?
- Jeans, specially skinny jeans, can cut your circulation and you kinda need your blood going around
- your feet growns harder skin to try and protect you if you keep abusing it, it would do that even if you only walk around with hard shoes or sandals. The feet does this because our ancestors had no shoes at all
I think clothing athstetics is situational
Why would you want to wear jeans to bed? And sleeping without any pants is best for your private parts.
How this crew takes a popular show, and makes a lesson, is got darn amazing. Keep it up Theory team! You guys are a buncha geniuses.
I actually have a sun allergy (Polymorphic light eruption). I sometimes get white or red/pink itchy bumps on my arms. Glad someone's finally covering it. (its extremely mild and it hardly appears, but I still usually wear full coverage in my clothes)
I also have something like that called Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM)
The legend of vampires becomes more clear everyday
I used to have PLE too! It suddenly appeared in my early 20s and just as mysteriously went away about a decade later. Apparently that's quite common with this sort of allergy, as it might be linked to hormonal changes.

She probably has porphyria. Symptoms include skin irritation and sensitivity to light. It also causes anxiety which she clearly has. Porphyria has been linked to seizures and mental confusion which could explain her "visions". Some forms of porphyria can affect how your body handles various nutrients like iron which might be why she was excited when they got showered in what she initially thought was iron rich blood at the dance. Its also usually inherited, and her mother has a lot of the same symtoms like an aversion to light and "visions".
My dad (now in his 60s) has been "allergic" to colored socks since childhood. Something about the way his sweat reacts with the dyes in socks of *any* color other than white. It was extremely bad, but had a podiatrist suggest the white socks. When it worked, he explained why. Apparently it was fairly common. To this day, I have never seen him wear anything other than white socks.
I am just glad I did not inherit that, as some of my favorite socks are in fun colors, and I think I own maybe two pairs of white socks, both of which are the little slip socks for wearing with flats which I have a pair for wearing to job interviews.

I actually knew the actor for Wednesday from the 1960’s show personally. She was a very sweet woman, with a lot of great stories from her experiences as a child actor. My mom met her on an airplane, which was how I knew her. They became very close friends and moved in with my mom and stepdad. But then things went south with my mom and stepdad and her and Lisa ended up moving in with my dad. They were both living there for a few months, which was when I ended up meeting her in person. My mom and Lisa went everywhere together. Unfortunately they had to split up because Lisa needed to go to rehab where she passed a few months later. She was in a lot of pain in her last few months but we did what we could to keep her active and healthy. She signed a picture of her as Wednesday shortly before she passed where she called me her friend. RIP Lisa.

I know someone with specified fructophobia (she’s only scared of avocados) - she says she’s deathly allergic to them at restaurants to avoid exposure that would distress her. I was just rewatching a video you did 5 years ago and you mentioned “how the world Wonder Woman’s blue silk dress was able to hold up an entire sword.” Would it be possible and would the sword you could hold that way actually be able to do the harm it does in the movie???
My Dad was in the military with a man who was allergic to the sun and had to be covered head to toe whenever there was sunlight.
I'm wondering if you'll cover Fashin Runway here or Film Theory. I remember watching it with my Mom till someone who used glue, said she had never sewed before, and had a model who partly slipped out of an outfit.
Your dad worked with a vampire?!
I once had a coworker with a rayon allergy. I was really glad that I knew about it as a possibility, and we were able to order a special work uniform . No allergic reaction to a polyester uniform!
i thought rayon was a mixture of cotton and polyester
As someone who is not only colour blind but also (sometimes) allergic to clothes this it the perfect theory for me
My friend has a sun allergy of some kind where it's not severe enough for her to have to put on head gear, but she can get rash and itching from sun exposure, so she tries not to sit in the sun, uses a lot of skin creams and probably wearing covering clothing would also help her (although she rarely does it, as she always feels hot). So if Wednesday had the same condition as my friend, her clothing would make sense without needing to add some head gear to it.
I was thinking about the fact that UV makeup is a thing and that Wednesday could be wearing it throughout the show causing her to both look paler through makeup means and actually be lighter skinned by the makeup, which would allow her to not always have to be wearing some headdress
I have an allergy to the sun and it varies day to day, but when it’s bad it makes my skin swell up to the point I can’t bend my fingers and my skin looks like it’ll pop at any second. More mild reactions I have to it is just general itching and redness or blisters suddenly forming on skin that came into contact with the sun. I combat it by using sunscreen year round and wearing dark clothes that cover 95% of my body, mainly just my hands and face being visible.
Yep. Me too. The blisters come IMMEDIATELY, when I don't cover up.
I too, have a sun allergy. Doctors said that my skin mutated somehow to be intolerant to the sun's rays. I get a spider web like rash where the sun hits me and if I stay exposed for too long it turns to large blisters.
Can try moon bathing like the Addams family do.

while not so much the case for Wednesday, there is color allergies in the form of food coloring. For the colour aspect, I saw Black as perfectly logical, since if light being reflected is what gives colour, WHITE would be every colour - not black. As such, the black clothes absorbing all light prevents so much light from bouncing off *them* and *onto* Wednesday's skin. However, I'd suggest looking into the idea of her 'allergy' being a psychosomatic response. Colour stresses her out, with that stress being what causes the reaction (writing this at 8:41, so if this comes up later, I'm gonna be chuffed)
Matpat i have a style theory idea! Here it goes: In Pokémon indigo league, Ash uses rubber gloves to negate Pikachu's electricity. Can this actually be done? Can rubber gloves resist lightning?
This is one of the more interesting theories we've had so far on this channel, and I'm all there for it. Love this, keep it up.
Who wants a theory on the indie game Teardown?
@Wednesday 🅥 oh wow Wednesday! it's a honour! (Making fun of bots)
At first i was confused as to how you would make theory’s about fashion, but you did it! you constantly manage to shock me
6:35 I think that black is a perfect choice. All color is absorbed by black, and almost no light reflects onto her face
don't know if this could be a bonus episode but I was watching a show once where these 2 men restyled this young couples home. The wife had a super rare mental condition where if she looked at certain color or pattern it made her body like shut down and she'd have to go to the hospital so the stylists had to be careful. (and No it wasn't photosensitive epilepsy)
A Wednesday theory on a Saturday, that would have been the perfect setup!
Mat pat will never run out of theory 😢😮😂😂😅😅
Edit: omg I'm famous!!
@Deadpool. Why do I see you eveywhere
@@idontknow......... it's a bot.
????
??????
That's the result of the kids in his basement working none stop 😉
I am going to show this to everyone who doubts my vampire aesthetic as being protective of my skin 😂 (I am actually allergic to UV lol)
Cool
This is an awesome way to have a mini Film theory Style Theory crossover.
7:28 And this is why you should always wash your clothes when you first buy them.
Another upload to brighten my day thank you, MatPat
i had a friend in college that had the amazing allergy combination of grass and sunlight. The flushed skin was a normal reaction for her. She was covered head to toe and stayed inside as much as possible.
My friend and I are both allergic to direct sunlight but in different ways. Her autoimmune disorder reacts in the classical way described in the video: exposure then severe, extensive, inflamed hives. In my case, it takes the barest hint of a sunburn on any part of my body -- a minute in direct rays is enough for my pale skin -- and I get "sun-sick", a collection of symptoms similar to an awful flu. Muscle fatigue, aches, chills; the whole lot. I've been bed-bound by it in the past. As a result, we both dress in similar full-body Wednesday-esque garb, lol. Looser, cooler fabrics, though.
4:11 luckily there’s a family guy.
I've been excited for this theory ever since you teased it during the Style Theory premiere. 🖤🖤🖤
Just a small correction: Your logo isn't blue because it is absorbing other wavelengths of light and reflecting blue light. As it is going to generally be viewed on a screen, it's blue because it IS blue light.
The Theorist at the beginning _not_ sneezing at Mat handing him "Sans is Ness" is probably one of the funniest openings I've ever seen
I wasn’t expecting style theorist to so suddenly theorize about Wednesday and allergies with colours
You should do the difference between sunblock and sunscreen! I think that would be cool. I think it fits here...
It’s amazing how this man can make a whole theory on one quote
Wth
@yo OMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THAT FOR SO LONG TOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Wednesday 🅥 L
I actually went to school with a girl who was allergic to something used in mosy blue dyes and colourings. Food dye, fabric dye, blue paper, you name it. Usually she just simplified it by saying she was allergic to blue!
I am allergic to red! Specifically E120 and get hives if I eat something containing that! It’s also in many red tattoo inks so when I got a tattoo with red I had to be very thorough so I didn’t get something I’m allergic to permanently in my skin 😱
You forgot psychosomatics as an option. That she believes that she is allergic so much that when focused on it she becomes allergic to it. I've seen it with other things and it can be quite fascinating.
Thing with psychosomatic is, you do not even need to belive in it. No matter how little sense it makes, the symptoms and the suffering is just as real, as if it was logical.
12:30 addams family lore masters definitely should thank you lol being allergic to SUNLIGHT!? and its a genetic trait too lol thats PERFECT!!
My grandma is allergic to sunlight & had to see multiple doctors as a child before it was finally figured out in her teens
5:34 actually no because the light in this case is being emitted from my phone, and not reflected.
Style Theory already has over a million subscribers?! This channel must really have been the best choice
6:08 This is a phrase I've heard used before, and it is a weird pet peeve of mine because it makes no sense. Light is not a physical thing like water getting absorbed by a sponge or pigment getting absorbed into clothing. When light is "absorbed" into something, it is destroyed. The electromagnetic energy gets transferred into something else. For visible light, this usually means exciting electrons in the material to higher orbitals, increasing the electrostatic potential energy, before those electrons relax non-radiatively (heat).
Black clothing will not increase Wednesday's contact with visible spectrum light rays. By that logic, half of all sunscreen should be lethal to humans because it absorbs UV light. These types of sunscreen actually appear black to a UV camera.
Heck even if light were a tangible substance, covering Wednesday in a material that absorbs a lot of light might be beneficial, as that material could very well function as a color faraday cage.
Fun fac: My brother was allergic to orange for a few years, he couldn't eat sausages, fanta or anything that had been artificially colored orange. It always reminded me of Sinester and his "allergic to green".
There was a girl in school way back in the day that had "sun allergy". She was all freckled and was always using hats and shades.
Ok now Matpat got me worried... I have urticaria and I often get rashes from my clothes (especially in the tighter areas) when I sweat in them. I only wear dark colors like black and blue because I don't like having visible sweat stains. Now I'm convinced I might be having a reaction to the dye!
This could also extend into a food theory because my niece is allergic to certain colors of food dye. Like green and blue, but I'm not sure if it's the chemistry/chemicals or something else.
1:26 those uniforms look like a purple version of what Beetlejuice wears and I love it
1:52 Upcoming theory (???): What would the ark need to be emanating for faces and skin to melt, but for that top hat to keep looking sharp?
- What would the hat be made of?
- Would that material be available to this ill-fated antagonist?
- How would it stand up against other potential face melters?
yes, we need a theory like that
As someone with skin so sensitive my neck sometimes gets irritated by my own hair and a seriously annoying and very limiting metal allergy, I could completely believe someone is allergic to color.
One of my family members has problems with UV light! So cool to see it brought up.
I didn't think I could like Wednesday more than I already did, and my favorite nerd made me like her 10x more. Thanks MatPat :)
9:33 and this my friend is why ill never touch grass
touch grass at night or in the shade
This episode triggered a memory. I had a friend who used to say he was allergic to the color pink when it comes to food. I wonder if you can do a similar theory but instead on your food theory channel!
5:37 don't computers emit light?
Can confirm sun allergies existing, my mom has said allergy. In addition, she wears a black or white hooded sweater when going out into the sunlight, especially during the summer, so I'd say that it checks out, based on what I've witnessed, at least.
5:43
So basically, things have every color EXCEPT the one we see.
Yep.
@Maissie no everything is black and white but we see color
Not totally sure what can be done with this but a theory on wet socks would be amazing
Another great theory MatPat! This channel has big things in store, I can just feel it! 9:59 I actually knew this! My English teacher from my freshman year of high school is allergic to sunlight. It’s really unfortunate for him, but an amazing two truths and a lie statement.
Add the knight is the pale king, and that guy is gonna need 17 epi pens
