Bending Hectic (NEW 🎁) | The Jonny Greenwood Experience 🏴🇪🇸🇫🇷🇧🇷🇺🇦 (subtitles)

- Subtitles!! Personally synchronized and translated line by line for each language so hopefully not too bad (on this one, I wasn’t sure which word to use for “turn” in one of the languages). Every full song and the full concert (which I will post soon sorry for lagging) will have subtitles in many languages. I recognize they are unnecessary and probably a waste of time, but I want them to have subtitles and therefore they will 🙂🎬
“The Jonny Greenwood Experience” is a full length, front row video of his center-stage performance with The Smile in Seattle on December 16, 2022. It focuses in particular in getting close-ups of all the crazy things he does with his guitars and other instruments. They perform their entire debut album plus six new songs.
Jonny Greenwood has performed live 1000+ times over 30 years as a founding member of Radiohead, has multiple Academy Award nominations for his film scores, and is a classical music composer whose works are performed by orchestras around the world.

I’ve had this project in my head for 30 years, but you can’t just snap your fingers and make Jonny appear with all his equipment and crew to perform on command, and the odds of buying a ticket and ending up at the show with him a few feet in front of you aren’t much greater.
So when The Smile announced they would play a general admission show in Seattle, I booked a flight and hoped for the best, even bringing binoculars to the venue just in case.
My goal was to get to the front center rail and, in my mind, document for historical purposes a full performance by one of the greatest musicians of all time. I got lucky and a dream came true.

The part where he’s softly strumming along, then steps on a pedal, strums a power chord, and grabs his pick - it’s like the part of the movie where the madman pulls out an ak-47 and you know something bad is about to happen…
brilliant comment
Yes indeed! At 06:00 👍🏻😻
The way Jonny holds the guitar and softly strums it when he plays it during the first chorus is so beautiful. It's like he has all the love in the world for it❤😢
Yes 🙌🏻 I want to be Johnny's guitar for just 1 night ❤😻
Jonny Greenwood!! The man is a genius 🎸👍
Jonny Greenwood, no words
LP2 is gonna be soooooo good
Love this song , slings & arrows , bends, takes me to the Italian Riviera mountainside, like he describes.❤
I confess I really want to be Johnny's guitar the way he is so gentle & hugs it. All of them are Masters.😻🎵
They need to do more really long songs. Thom and co’s best music is over 5m long in most part. Bending Hectic, How To Dissapear, Twist, Last I heard, Olympik, Brasil, The Axe, Like Spinning Plates (why us? Version), Feeling pulled apart by horses, supercollider, Harry patch, These are my twisted words, the numbers to name a few
You forget paranoid android.
@@wngmv hot take, paranoid android is not one of their best. It’s a masterpiece and I love it but it is not their best haha.
I can't wait! I go see The Smile in july!
This is such incridible music, sounds like coming from another planet ...
almost....i´ll see them tomorrow in Mexico City ¡¡ ...
@@ORC_1981 So cool! I wish you an amazing experience!
@@AnnQuebecPolska thanks...
@@ORC_1981 So... How was the show?
In 22 days for me🤗
@@AnnQuebecPolska amazing, the sound is incredible, the energy...the thom´s voice just puts you in another world ... the best of the best... a wonderful experience... bending hectic is awsome....but i still miss Radiohead..jaja ...
best version ever
Saw them last night. This song hadn’t made much impact on me the last month or so. That changed last night. What an epic track. Floored!
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL IT HURTS !!
holy shit that was beautiful
MASSIVE SONG !
A great video of an AMAZING song Man! Thanks for that! Its one of my favorite songs of this great band. The cadence of The melody AND The way Jonny plays The first chords WOW! It moves you little by little to The great end when Jonny breaks all with The distortion AND thats were It blows my mind totally!!! And finishes with a great music climax! A true work of art!!!!!!!
All I want for christmas is LP2 pls.
fantastic video! I was just to your right at the show 🙌
I had deliberately avoided watching any of the previous shows and had never heard Bending Hectic, which made it all the better. Actually surprised me how heavy it was. I got the same chills I got the first time I heard Paranoid Android.
Oh my, what a beautiful song 🎶
6:23 onwards has a Like Spinning Plates (live version) feel
that oddly reminds me of how a famous guy's son does something and people go "oh this sounds just like his dad's music"
thom and jonny could never escape from "this sounds like radiohead" same way they cant escape from creep
The guitar solo here is better than on the new single.
yes agreed, also played on a different guitar and seems to have more reverb
Such a great show
EPIC!!!!
The Real Thing. I saw them twice this year.
I have unfortunately never seen a Radiohead...Thom solo...or the smile concert yet. I've been to quite a few concerns in my day and Thom and Jonny are one of my favorites. It's a real shame. Hopefully one day. ☮️
Raw power.
I WILL see them one day!
Is there a better guitarist on the planet? Err no, he's in a league of his own 🤟
Mark Speer of Khruangbin is at least as awesome as Jonny.
Jonny: Arpeggiate
Me: Does have a Boss pedal?
Fucking hell, solo😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Great live! And thank you for Ukrainian subtitles, they're really high quality 🇺🇦
I've seen the smile play like 7 different basses lol
I just can't get used to the Les Paul's.
I wonder what jonny’s tele is up to now
@@roryturner9773 probably waiting for Radiohead LP10
Lovely. Seattle, right?
Yes. I assumed the WAMU Theater in Seattle would be a terrible place to see them (a theater named after a bank in a giant sports complex, when all their other shows are at posh historic theaters), but it was far better than the other west coast shows imo.
@@deadairface agreed!! I was blown away by the sound there. I had always heard bad things.
That look of Jonny when the violins get annoying.
His finale needs to be more up front.
Awesomw.
Where's Music in 23' ,, ,,, ?? HERE !!!!
Italian jazz maestro if you can dig it radio head was always weird
Radiohead is better as a five-person unit. But we will take what we can get.
Limitation breeds creativity
Better than anything on a Light For Attracting Attention
Speech Bubbles is brilliant though
8:06 lol he over-did the jonny stage presence, woops look a little silly rn
Blow it out jony greenblow he coulda copied gilmour forged his own blazing trailvk7dos anyway that is radiohead papranoid android
Look, I appreciate plenty of low key, nuanced and melodic songs with creative tunings and subtle interplay between the instruments. I'm 100% open minded and appreciative of that kind of music. In a lot of ways, in MOST ways, that type of composition is more challenging than the heavy, slammin' type of stuff. That being said, this was just boring. B O R I N G! I recognize that johnny is a genius. A musical prodigy and true innovator. Unfortunately, though. This one was a miss. A big-time miss. I don't doubt though that johnny has plenty more cards up his sleeve that will further cement his legacy as one of the mainstream music world's foremost innovators and legends.
Calling it boring is a fair opinion. But “a big-time miss” lol? That sounds like Kid A criticism. These guys have been missing everything by a wide margin for 35 years. As always, time will tell if they’ve done it yet again.
i agree and you are right on the nose Bud.
Ill NEver doubt U again.
Sorry that some people feel this way. I get where you’re coming from. But listening to the lyrics, I personally hear Thom recounting a moment where time was slowed/stretched out.. it builds tension musically and reminds me of in-car experiences I’ve had where my mind and reality slipped apart for a bit. In that way, it is effective and impresses me.
The second part when everything comes in feels awesome though
