      Thanks for watching Henry! I’m grateful whenever I have a touch point with enthusiasm like Simone’s. It sounds like you’re feeling it too. Have a good one!

    Thank you so much for this video. I just got one of these from my wife. Seeing it taken apart really makes me appreciate all the design time and effort put into the details.

      Thanks for the comment! The calendar is really great. Any thoughts about how you'll use it? Mine has been for my journaling practice. If it's too private a question, I do not mean to pry. I hope you'll consider subscribing to Hohman Design here on UA-cam, perhaps our analysis of some other delightful piece of design will be of interest... Anywhichway, thanks for watching!

    This video is over a year old, and I came across it looking at reviews for the board. The amount of care that you put into this teardown, the high praise, and your decorum/cadence instantly made me a fan/subscriber. Congrats!

      Thank you, Obie! That means a lot. Thank you for subscribing. While you can see that we are still challenged to regularly release videos, we do have several that are in post production and we hope you find yourself enjoying those soon. Please continue to share your thoughts with us as those new videos come out. Have a good one!

    I'm impressed by the touch design. Getting the right layers and how the communicate back to the micro would be interesting. Capacitor circuitry and the appropriate controller has me baffled. Did the build the ICs into the pcb? Crazy

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to engage here in the comments. I hope you have seen Simone's UA-cam video and her Kickstarter page. I'm not sure if she gets into the level of technical detail that you are clearly ready for, but she does go into different details than we did and explain the trials and travails of her product development journey. Both links are in the description here.

      @@HohmanDesign thanks! I did search her YT and I did see the kick starter.
      P.s. for clarification, I'm looking for something similar for my own project, as 'touch controller' is fun or functional. That Gold is glorious 😆

      Simone did such a cool thing. To scale a design like this deserves the attention! I loved the video on your channel of the LEGO train track for your Lego room. Legoratory? Legorium?

    What a great calendar! Love the style of it and the modern approach to tracking my best (or worst) habits. And I agree, power cords hidden under the appliance are a nice touch. Great video!

      Jakob! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such encouraging feedback. Hopefully our past and future videos are all you are hoping for. To name a few upcoming projects, we have one on a Lego inspired fine art painting, one on a model train caboose restoration with a special message, and one with a paper model of a Cyber Truck on Mars. I hope you'll subscribe and let us know which of these projects hit the right notes for you. Thanks again.

    How many tasks can the everyday calendar keep track of?

    • @HohmanDesign
      @HohmanDesign  2 роки тому +2

      Dammit Jim! I love that user name! The calendar tracks one habit as I understand it. A habit tracking app is the fully featured tool for both reminders and rewards for many tasks. For me the calendar is an art object, an assemblage of your commitment to some primary clarity one is seeking, perhaps in the sense that if I can do this one thing well, it will likely inform my success in other areas.
