I actually like that much more than the electric one. Beautiful work!

This is awesome dude. I haven’t been on UA-cam very long as well and it’s hard. Good luck to you! I loved your video.

Going to make one of these myself, once I have access to a laser cutter again. Great video

Great work! Perhaps for the next iteration, you can add a metallic plate on the back of the frame and your pellets could have tiny magnets inside them. This will ensure they never fall from the frame.

I love how multiple people did their own version of this thing and also recreated Simone's thumbnail for the video 😆
and bonus: this dude is pretty dang cute!

Love this! Suggestion: adding tiny holes in the back of each hexagon to poke out individual pieces if needed (if you ever make a 2.0) :)

One question: is the Everyday Calendar used to record the days you do one specific activity only, like just record the days you workout, or can it be used to record multiple activities such as 1. workout 2. meditate 3. yoga etc? Ie. Day 1: I did "workout" & "meditate". day 2. "workout" only.

Yeah good question! I guess in this version you could have different coloured/sided tokens to represent different things but might get a bit confusing/you'd have to have like 5 jars of tokes just for one calendar. Not so sure about Simone's version though (yes, that is me trying to imply the plywood version has more features than hers XDXDXD)

Thanks so much! However as it's very much Simone's design I don't think it would be right for me to sell them :) However you can have the laser file I used for free!

Hi, I watched and read the comments. I hope you'll make more content - I've subscribed. I think you got some good feedback re. editing and sound; none of it daunting, I think/hope. I have a suggestion as well, which might seem much more surface, but plays to something deep in many folks' brains... My suggestion: When you do demonstrative shots involving your hands, make sure your nails are "tidy" i.e. well-trimmed and clean. Like I said, it may sound the same as "style your hair" or some such thing, but the appearance and cleanliness of fingernails affects a lot of people at a deeper level of lizard-brain - enough that it could impact their wish to keep watching or their 'belief' in the project you're doing. Weird but true. A plain old nail clipper and nail scrub brush from the corner druggist - that's me trying to speak your language; I'm guessing you're British : ) - and a note to yourself to check those things before doing close-ups is all you'd need there. This is a super-long comment for a simple thing, but that's the mood I'm in, so there it is. Enjoyed the video, and I learned from your 'mistake' with the laser printer, too. Cheers.

Your results and kudos to Simone are great, but I had a really difficult time watching your video. The background music and the sputtering video from cutting out chunks of the video were unbearable for me. Other people may be okay with it but it may alienate some viewers. Maybe try reading a bit from a transcript of you are cutting out mistakes. Good luck and good job otherwise.

Thank you for the constructive criticism, it really is helpful for me as a new content creator. I'm trying to go for a slightly more informal style which I hope might make the project seem more accessible, my aim being to show that any fool such as myself can muddle their way through what could otherwise seem a slightly daunting process. I'm finding my feet as an editor though at the moment, and I will address my horrendous sound in future videos!

I guess is not that hard. Just a guess tho, because zero experience here! But, a good clip mic, a recorder, pre planned shots and just simple editing will improve all the problems here. And, search music in F.M.A (free music archive) there’s good free of copyright music there.
