very generous from Tree, the Sav is the 673KS, otherwise known as the Friday Savinelli made famous by Matches860. That's a 1940 Dunhill billiard (1920 +20 the number next to ENGLAND is how many years after 1920) What a great box, Enjoy
@londoncallingwithsimon6817 hey simon. Awesome! So I also own the famous Friday Sav! I dated the dunhill as 1980 as there is an underscore under the 20. Though there are anomalies I'm researching. So the number is 5003. 5 is group number, 03 shape. The second digit is usually the stem type, but these are only 1 and 2, not a 0. Also can't find a shape code "EX". So I'm still confused at this point . 😆 Thanks for the info!
@@londoncallingwithsimon6817 following pipepedia's guide, it would be 1980 pipedia.org/wiki/A_Dunhill_Pipe_Dating_Guide#A_Dunhill_Pipe_Dating_Guide, as the "20" is underscored and smaller than the "D" of "Made in England"
Wow, what a package of pipes. I could be wrong but I don't think Dunhill had metal tubes in 2020. It's more likely the older dating system. Starting 1960, so 60 plus 20 equals 1980.
Hello Leo, congratiolation for your fist Dunhill!👍 I can bay two old Dunhill for 100 Euro in summer of 2022. One oft them looks like your Dunhill. Kai from Soest
Having researched a little more, I think the shape is actually called the Liverpool. I am currently going down a rabbit hole looking at Dunhill dates and nomenclature. I'll do an update video when I have some info
