Thanks for the video! Perfect info and exactly what I was looking for! I have used the bottles a bunch and am always surprised by how quickly they go. I was considering spray cans for a small project but I think I'll stick to bottles! I can always find something around the shop to raptor line if I have "left overs"~! Smitty
I just purchased a land cruiser for the lady and a range rover for me.. and also just moved to Austria. This isnt usa here. Cant soda blast.. cant do this cant do that. Was hoping I can rattle the 2k on our new rides. Went from having a fat garage at home with heat and ac to a drive way. And people here are way different about working on cars. And after watching numerous videos.. yours was the best. Also you didnt spend 20 min.. just talking about nothing like 99 percent of other vids. So I subscribed.
thx for the video now I feel better about my decision, I was going to buy 4 raptor rattle cans to spray some cheap no name ebay nerf steps I purchased for my truck. I decided to order the kit instead knowing it would be more product then I needed and I do have a 20 gal compressor sitting in the garage anyway, I figure why risk running out in the middle of a job just to try to save a buck or 2. I live in the salt belt so trying to slow the rust down on these cheap steps before it has a chance to start. Nerf steps and raptor liner total combined cost $248.
Thanks for sharing! I found it very helpful! I am about to embark on lining my entire 4Runner and I’m starting with cans and adhesion promoters for fenders and other plastic parts then using the bottles and compressor for the rest. I got 4 cans (with 6 cans of adhesion promoter for the fenders & other plastic body parts) and 12 bottles (2, 6-bottle kits) for the rest of the car. Wish me luck. Btw, I’m doing this to revive an otherwise beat up looking car. Hopefully, the Raptor Liner will hide many of the cars imperfections and some “sorry honey” dings my wife contributed to. 😖
Rushton Works, The car is already black and I will be using black Raptor Liner. I don’t plan on lining the door jams and engine bay unless I have extra.
Did you think about using the roller for the bottles? That is what I am thinking of doing instead of buying an air compressor and spray gun for the bottles.
If you buy the kits they come usually come with the spray gun. I think I'd rent a 25 gallon compressor. You'd probably have a harder time getting into some areas rolling it on. Just my thoughts. Raptor lining a tractor this morning and rolling it on would not work.
Is there any difference in texture/color between the bottle and can? I just did my liner and there is one small area I want to touch up. I don't want it to stand out from bottle liner though. Any thoughts?
How coarse is it im doing a fuel tank for kodiak and its what u climb on to get in/out the truck so needs to have good grip. Ive covered the tank and so far its looking much smoother then expected..
My truck was smoother than my tractor. I did thin the truck liner, but it's fairly course out of the bottle. The pegs on my tractor grip my feet much better than paint
@@rushtonworks9186this is on a wreaker and has a small step but when trying hurry easy miss and just step on the tank. Guess just go little thicker in those key areas
Thank you for the price comparison! I was about to sit down and calculate it myself.

Always enjoy the feedback!

Good call!
6.5 truck bed, cost efficient to spray it on, thanks for the video

Awesome, what color? Just completed my 1941 tractor with gunmetal grey. Hope to post soon. Good luck!

First thank you for sharing you experience. My question is does the product end up being everybit as hard from the aerosol cans?
Yes, it seemed to be holding up well on my boss's truck.

Turned out nice!
Thanks, for a ready aresol can, it sure was a lot of drama.
I'm planning on doing this soon for 4 of my Tacoma's fenders. How many cans of liner and adhesion promoter did you use?
One can is enough-good luck!
@@rushtonworks9186 Thank you so much! Is that all I will need? 1 adhesion promoter and 4 liner cans?
No problem brother, yep that should do it 4 cans
Im about to do my range rover p38. How many cans would u recommend
Probably 10 bottles would do it.
Did you say cans? You probably need three times more cans then bottles. Go with the bottles even if you have to rent a sprayer.
The spray can was terrible. No comparison. I resprayed with the gun.
Looks good. But change the video title
Spray your cane next
Lol-there is some on the handle from my gloves
