Woody Hayes spent 28 seasons as the head football coach at Ohio State, where he helped guide the Buckeyes to 13 conference championships and national titles in 1954, 1957 and 1968. His overall record at Ohio State was an astounding 205--61--10.

PROBABLY THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD MAN EVER TO COACH AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF IN NCAA DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL. No coach cared as much for his players on the field or in the classroom! Even after his players playing days were over he would hound them to finish their degrees! His humanitarian work was overlooked as well. He paid for surgeries for people that couldn't afford the cost of the Medical procedures. He didn't even know some of these people. Woody Hayes was the greatest college football coach EVER! RIP VALIANT SOLDIER!

I love the guy I grew up in Columbus played football and admired everything that he did. Sad part was the Gator Bowl. Even though that was an embarrassment I should not take away what he is accomplished in all the 28 years he's at Ohio State. He really cared about his players Mike they were family
