- Jesus ministers to people of Ancient America and perceives their weakness. Full of compassion for them, He heals their sick, calls little children forward and prays.
Angels descend from heaven and minister unto them.
These next passages of scripture attempt to describe an event too marvelous and joyous to accurately explain or comprehend.
3 Nephi 17: 1 - 25
1 Behold, now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he looked round about again on the multitude, and he said unto them: Behold, my time is at hand.
2 I perceive that ye are weak, that ye cannot understand all my words which I am commanded of the Father to speak unto you at this time.
3 Therefore, go ye unto your homes, and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask of the Father, in my name, that ye may understand, and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come unto you again.
4 But now I go unto the Father, and also to show myself unto the lost tribes of Israel, for they are not lost unto the Father, for he knoweth whither he hath taken them.
5 And it came to pass that when Jesus had thus spoken, he cast his eyes round about again on the multitude, and beheld they were in tears, and did look steadfastly upon him as if they would ask him to tarry a little longer with them.
6 And he said unto them: Behold, my bowels are filled with compassion towards you.
7 Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy.
8 For I perceive that ye desire that I should show unto you what I have done unto your brethren at Jerusalem, for I see that your faith is sufficient that I should heal you.
9 And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken, all the multitude, with one accord, did go forth with their sick and their afflicted, and their lame, and with their blind, and with their dumb, and with all them that were afflicted in any manner; and he did heal them every one as they were brought forth unto him.
10 And they did all, both they who had been healed and they who were whole, bow down at his feet, and did worship him; and as many as could come for the multitude did kiss his feet, insomuch that they did bathe his feet with their tears.
11 And it came to pass that he commanded that their little children should be brought.
12 So they brought their little children and set them down upon the ground round about him, and Jesus stood in the midst; and the multitude gave way till they had all been brought unto him.
13 And it came to pass that when they had all been brought, and Jesus stood in the midst, he commanded the multitude that they should kneel down upon the ground.
14 And it came to pass that when they had knelt upon the ground, Jesus groaned within himself, and said: Father, I am troubled because of the wickedness of the people of the house of Israel.
15 And when he had said these words, he himself also knelt upon the earth; and behold he prayed unto the Father, and the things which he prayed cannot be written, and the multitude did bear record who heard him.
16 And after this manner do they bear record: The eye hath never seen, neither hath the ear heard, before, so great and marvelous things as we saw and heard Jesus speak unto the Father;
17 And no tongue can speak, neither can there be written by any man, neither can the hearts of men conceive so great and marvelous things as we both saw and heard Jesus speak; and no one can conceive of the joy which filled our souls at the time we heard him pray for us unto the Father.
18 And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end of praying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joy of the multitude that they were overcome.
19 And it came to pass that Jesus spake unto them, and bade them arise.
20 And they arose from the earth, and he said unto them: Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full.
21 And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.
22 And when he had done this he wept again;
23 And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them: Behold your little ones.
24 And as they looked to behold they cast their eyes towards heaven, and they saw the heavens open, and they saw angels descending out of heaven as it were in the midst of fire; and they came down and encircled those little ones about, and they were encircled about with fire; and the angels did minister unto them.
25 And the multitude did see and hear and bear record; and they know that their record is true for they all of them did see and hear, every man for himself; and they were in number about two thousand and five hundred souls; and they did consist of men, women, and children.
The best thing about all this is this part of the Book of Mormon is a type and shadow of things coming real soon. As President Nelson taught: "But, my dear brothers and sisters, so many wonderful things are ahead. In coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power that the world has ever seen. Between now and the time He returns “with power and great glory,”1 He will bestow countless privileges, blessings, and miracles upon the faithful."

God has heard the prayers of the righteous all over the world.
We plead with Him to release the bondage of His little ones, His Children, billions who suffer and are sacrificed for Lucifer’s pleasure, beneath the ground in tunnels and in ocean caves and tunnels.
Our Beloved Savior is working now to help “man” bring Justice to the Forces of Evil and bring PEACE, love and Prosperity to all mankind. JOY comes soon.

I’m deeply humbled. Over 65 years of praying, patiently waiting for this day ~ it is coming soon.

Imagine being blind, only to be healed and the first person you see is Jesus. WOW.
right? and how she then turns to her parents . . . and sees them for likely the first time in her life . . . and she sees their love and beauty that she already knows . . . but now she sees it too!
I love how happy this makes Jesus look after he heals the people. It reminds me of how nice it is to be able to do kind things for others, and I really do believe that God feels that way when He helps us.
right? it is even the exact same feeling we have the opportunity to experience, even if maybe not in such a high degree, but, love and thereby charity always have been the true endless source of joy and happiness
Even though I am not LDS anymore, I will always testify of the truth of the Book of Mormon. It always made complete sense to me that Jesus Christ visited other places and people. He is the God of this world! After 36 years of illness and pain, I really can't wait for the day that I will meet Him and be healed!

The love and grace of our Savior Jesus Christ is so amazing! I had the incredible opportunity to be one of the angels, I’m holding and lifting the beautiful smiling baby girl. It ended up being the most amazing gift and miracle Heavenly Father gave to me to. Since filming this last summer our family was blessed with a baby sister. But due to a rare and severe heart defect she died during the birth. Our hearts are broken and we mourn over her loss, but because of the love and grace of God we didn’t lose her we gained her and she is apart of our family forever!! Our family is comforted and filled with so much happiness and joy! We truly have such a loving and merciful Savior.

This is definitely the best one. What an incredible experience and to think that some of those angels would be individuals from the other side of the veil who had recently passed due to the calamities and destruction. I had never thought about this before. So well done!
but in the destyruction,the wicked who were against Jesus and the prophets were the ones destroyed,the more righteous ones were the ones spared destruction.
I thought the same thing! My mom recently passed away and I lost it at this part because I can imagine Her being one of them that would greet me if I was there!
This was the best depiction of Jesus Christ I’ve ever seen. So much love. So much compassion. So much truth. God be thanked for the gift of His Son!

This maybe my favorite video of all time, as it beautifully reminds me that Jesus and our angels (including my Elijah) love us so much that they continue to minister to us today, as Jesus and the people of Nephi's angels did to them. Behold our little ones!

I love 3 Nephi 17. We are given a intimate look at the Savior's tender mercy and compassion. With the call to visit the other sheep He still made time to minister to those in great need.
These are just such beautiful chapters in the Book of Mormon. Can't wait for the Savior's return. It's going to be epic!
That was beautiful beyond words! What a heavenly experience for the people in the Americas who were visited by our Savior, Jesus Christ! I know Jesus Christ loves ALL His children! You and me! And when we see Him again, I pray it is glorious just like this! Beautiful production! Thank you.

I just imagined being in that group watching family members walk up to be healed. He won’t need to ask what we need healed, he will already know. He knows us personally and knows what we struggle with, what needs we have and knows how to heal us, physically and spiritually. What a glorious occasion that will be someday. So grateful for what he gave and suffered on my behalf. Stay aboard The old ship Zion. He will come❤️
I don't remember how long ago it was but there came a Time when I knew, while reading this chapter in The Book of Mormon, that if I was there at that time in the land of the nephites, that all of the medical problems I have would have been healed by the savior. I knew it. I knew at that moment that the Book of Mormon is a true word of God and is a true scripture. That testimony has never wavered and gets stronger every time I read the chapter represented in this video. It's my favorite chapter and it always will be. Thanks for doing it so well.

This was beautiful. Something in the small details of how this was portrayed made it easy to picture myself and my family there together, meeting Jesus face to face, and feeling his glory, power, and love. I was very touched by this.

That is a beautiful portrayal of the Savior's love and ability to heal. I know He does the same for us in our day when we reach out to Him. He has more love and compassion than I can even understand, and I know He lives to lift the hands that hang helplessly down, and to bring us joy by teaching us how to be closer to Him.

Absolutely marvelous. This is perfection. The way that everyone is acting is spot on and really does a good job of helping people see what this would have been like.
I love The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It’s easy when reading it just to zoom through without taking the time to really picture what is going on. This is a perfect way to learn from it while also taking the time to imagine being there and understanding it better.
The little moment where He tells the child it is okay after healing their leg feels so real and seems exactly how the Savior would act, especially the hug right after.

3 Nephi 17 will always be my favourite part of the Book of Mormon. I can't stop crying ❤️ this Chapter is the most special for me because I got a powerful testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and the book of Mormon because of it. I'm so grateful unto our Lord 😭🙏🏻
After all that the Savior has done for us, reading or beholding such scenes as this how can one not look or ponder upon it without tears rolling down their cheeks.
Yup. I'm balling. I guess it's a combination of gratitude toward my Savior and anticipation for when Zion is redeemed and he comes again to dwell with His people in New Jerusalem.
This type of healing is the only solution to our impossible problems. Sometimes it will be from Jesus Christ. Sometimes it will be through the angels sent in his name. Whether from his voice or the voice of His servants, it is the same. But when it happens, we will have perfect knowledge our weaknesses were essential in teaching us our total reliance upon Him. Then when we see those we love so transformed by His love, our joy will be full. I know this day will come. That is all that matters. We have proven our willingness to wait for his time and his way. In return, we can feel the peace as if the day of healing had already come.

This is an inspired portrayal of Jesus' visit and teahings to those who had gathered to hear him at temple. It shows His mercy and compassion for all and his deep love for the children.

I so wish I lived in that time.
I sobbed through the entire episode. Of course when you know what's coming, it's hard not to. His has been done so very well, I can't begin to express my feelings. This has always been my favorite part of the Book of Mormon as it is the essence of the true followers of Christ and His purpose... to love one another and live in a community where love is the core of everything!

This is my favorite chapter. This is my favorite chapter in all scripture.
Something that stood out to me when he is healing the people. I bet they were filled with so many different emotions. Like the blind girl for example all her life she cant see and now all that has changed because of Christ. Or the deaf girl when Jesus spoke to her. It makes me excited for him to heal me of my burdens, my illnesses to make me whole again.
I am literally weeping- this really happened. I know it. I was overwhelmed by it. I know that Jesus, who is our Christ, literally lives. I will one day stand in His presence, as will you. As it says in a song from Chronicles of Narnia- "I can't take it in". My whole soul is brim. Thank you, thank you.

One of the most incredible things I have ever seen -- I love a Savior who loves children and prays for us and heals us!
Why not shed a tear of joy, I don't think there will be a dry eye when he comes among us again. The compassion of Christ is one of his most charitable acts and you can see from this depiction you knew he could not just go back to the Father without showing his mercy in healing those who were afflicted. From this I know the Saviour loves me and would not leave me without healing.

I know that the Book of Mormon is true! My heart is filled with so much joy and love. I know that when our beloved Savior Jesus Christ comes again, which I’m sure it is soon, we will feel the love of Jesus Christ and oh how great will be our joy!
I love it. Angels are not alien beings who are diffrent from us, but they are indead our loved ones who constantly care and watch over us.
There's a reason 3 Nephi is one of the first scriptures we share with investigators as missionaries. It's so special.

3 Nephi chapter 17 is my favorite character in the Book of Mormon Another testament of Jesus Christ. I sometimes wish I had been there When Jesus Christ appeared to the people. I love the Holy Scriptures. Jesus Christ is the God over this Earth and I worship the Father through Jesus Christ.

This just makes sense to me. I’ve been reminded a lot lately of the joy that is found in giving of yourself to others. The Savior knows this truth. He went about doing good. As I’m trying to do. He lives. He is the Son of God. He is the way, the light, and the truth.
"and He did heal them, every one." I know that God is my Savior, and yours too! He loves us perfectly and knows the deepest, hardest parts, He's walked every dark road, and been in every valley of death, with us. I know without a doubt that someday we will all hug Him!!
What a spiritual clip of the Lord Jesus Christ among the lamanites. It brought tears to my eyes, I felt his love for me n my family, it pierce my heart n soul.
