I love that Samuel preaching manages to look both absolutely terrified, but also joyful, like he likely was. Faith is pushing past our doubts to obey God, like courage is having fear but choosing to push past fear. I love this story
If you believe this, it’s a game changer. The fact that the coming of Christ was prophesied in the Americas, along with details about his life and death for us shows how God loves all people in every corner of the globe. This made it possible for these people to accept Christ and feel the joy of redemption during their lives.
The most touching and remarkable Book of Mormon video produced in this series. What was recorded in the Book of Mormon took place. This book is true. I feel it.
Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ. I know and believe this with a certainty because Jesus Christ is my personal Saviour, of this I testify. Amen.
Samuels boldness is inspiring and beautiful! It must have been amazing to see the Lord protect him and to know that the Savior was going to be born so soon!
What a powerful video. Thank you for all the devoted time and prayers you actors and directors put into creating such a masterpiece of truth to help us understand the scriptures more fully. We are so blessed to have the Book of Mormon to help us in our mortal journey in these latter days.
For me, because of the Spirit of the Lord which touches my heart when I read, hear, or see these testimonies regarding the birth of the Son of God into the world, it is Christmas for me all year long. It is wonderful to live with this light in my life. For this I am grateful. Jesus Christ is not only the light of the world; He is the light of my life personally. : ) I know he will stand on the earth again one day, and when he does, the earth itself will bear witness to us that her Creator stands upon her once again, and the earth will tremble with joy at the return of the Lord. The earth herself will bear witness.
This video is just beautiful, especially the ending. I've read these chapters so many times throughout my life but never thought about small details like: what was Samuel thinking when those first arrows were soaring through the air right at him? Was he afraid? Did he think he was about to die, and knew that he'd fulfilled Heavenly Father's commandments? That part was amazing, as well as the emotions on the faces of those who believed, and the young archer's beginning seed of faith. Also, the ending....wow. Such a powerful dose of the spirit. Thank you to everyone involved, cast and crew, for making these videos!
Everyone involved did a great job. I loved seeing the details I didn't think about, like Samuel moving into different parts of the ramparts and towers, or the reactions of that young archer. Great rendition of this awesome Book of Mormon story.
"For I have beheld how thou hast with unwearyingness declared the word...and thou hast not feared them, and hast not sought thine own life, but hast sought my will, and to keep my commandments". Helaman 10:4 Like Nephi, Samuel the Lamanite put God's Will Above All, even his own Safety, Knowing God would Watch Over Him.
I have always loved the story of Samuel the Lamanite. No one will know the hour or the day when Christ returns, but I do hope the prophet will be given a time frame like Samuel.
I love these videos so much! I know the Book of Mormon is true! It’s amazing to see the stories I love and cherish brought even more to life through visual representation. Probably my favorite part of this one is the transition from seeing the star in the americas to over Bethlehem. 10/10 video overall.
Samuel the Lamanite, high on the city wall, came to warn the people and repentance was his call. Arrows could not hit him for a man of God was he. And he taught in the land righteously.
1) an image of the guy who is speaking on the wall (his name is Samuel the Lamanite)- there's a good close up of him at about 2:50 2) a person who hates Samuel (around 12:46 is an angry guy who hates him) 3) a person who stands up for Samuel (around 12:44 is a kid who stands up for him) Show quoted
The Lord said in Ether 12:26 : Fools mock , but they will mourn !!! It is foolishness and wickedness to mock God !!! We read in 3 nephi 8 what happened to the folks who did not believe in Samuels words , they all died !!!
Something I noticed in the old Book of Mormon videos vs the new ones is the old videos they where all about the feathers. I mean LOTS of feathers. But they totally forgot to change the actors then modern hair cut. Now, it's all about the hair with lots of braids. The costumes are probably also way more historically accurate than in the old videos. Part of me wonders how the actors felt in the old videos when the costumes came out and they found out they where pretty muched decked out with feathers bigger than their own shoulder width🤣.
You're probably also noticing some intentional representation of shifting culture. The events did happen over a period of 1000 years, so there's no reason why people should look exactly the same at different times.
Sometimes it troubles me that the scriptures seem to be full of stories about how those who do not agree are evil and will be made sorry for being the way that they are. Seems like a very human problem, and I think that in reality God must be bigger than that and must understand all points of view much better than most of us realize.
God understands all points of view...but those who He will allow to stay with Him are those who agree and align with doing things His way and are in unity with Him, because it's only those who agree with Him and allow and work for all things to be done His way who will succeed and not fail, because He is always right and by definition anyone who is right will agree with Him and anyone who doesn't agree with Him is wrong.
I appreciate the effort made to make these videos but I wish they could hire someone like the director of the chosen. The quality and acting is just off. It’s distracting an unable to feel the way the chosen makes me feel
I love Samuel the Lamanite and his prophecies, but all of those stairs violate the Law of Moses in Exodus 20:24-26. The ridiculous 30-foot-tall wall is better than Arnold Frieberg's Mayan version. It was likely made of an earthen embankment with palisades on top. The wall has been found by LiDAR in the area of Montrose, Iowa.
I love that Samuel preaching manages to look both absolutely terrified, but also joyful, like he likely was. Faith is pushing past our doubts to obey God, like courage is having fear but choosing to push past fear. I love this story
This is certainly a hard part for a prophet who knows all things thank you for sharing this video with all of us

I love the Book of Mormon! it is the word of God!
The most touching and remarkable Book of Mormon video produced in this series. What was recorded in the Book of Mormon took place. This book is true. I feel it.
Good morning God is good All the time take Pray Jesus Love
I love how the entire story surrounding Christ's coming was included here! This was very well made!
The end got me!! 😭 So powerful and beautiful.
Me too I was overcome by power from on high ❤
Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ. I know and believe this with a certainty because Jesus Christ is my personal Saviour, of this I testify. Amen.

One of my favorite stories in the Book of Mormon! This was such a powerful portrayal of Samuel's prophecies. Absolutely loved it.
Samuel is one of my favorite prophets in the Book of Mormon
This is probably has to be my favorite book of Mormon video
This is such a good story in the Book of Mormon. Just another example of how through Christ we can do all things expedient in him.
One of the best episodes yet.
We could sure use more Samuel the Lamanites in these crazy latter-days. Fearless disciples of Christ who are not afraid of the world.
Reading the Book of Mormon this year has been a blessing to my life! Thanks for the awesome videos! Keep 'em coming!

Hallelujah amen!
Amazing courage and faith, one of my favorite prophets!

Some of the greatest prophecies in The Book of Mormon!
One of my favorite ones so far!
Wonderful video! Jesus Christ is Lord!
This was great! So powerful and emotional.

Beautiful.
This is a nice illustration and makes teaching easy, especially on 'the day and night and day that would be as one day'

I love how he just jumps over the wall 😂
nicely done.
Linda produção até me emocionei 😢

The message in this video is so poignant with what is going on in the world today.
🔥🔥🔥

This is a great show of faith and hope... Will there be a full behind the scenes documentary with actors and creators in the near future?
Try to watch this video without crying
❤❤🖤

Wow. he really just jumped
I can't tell the difference between a lamanite and nephite. No worries, the message is most important
My people descend from the Nephites who left Zarahemla in the book of mormon Alma 63 and went north with hagoth to Newzealand thus first comment hehe
We called hagoth Hawaiiroa there is a marae meeting house with a carving ontop to remind us off the journey they made from the Americas
A lot of the naysayers sound a LOT like the ones we have these days.
Yes amen!
First
Es berdad lo que profetisa Samuel a creer en cristo para no ser destruido creer en cristo yo creo que. Vendrá nuevamente
who is the actor who plays samuel the lamanite?
How many new ones are coming?
Are you mistaken or something? Samuel the Lamanite prophesies the coming of Christ to the Nephites. I think you need to edit the summary.
Yes the video description needs an edit 😁

Looks more like Samuel the Nephite preaching to the Lamanites. 😂
Just like DJT! They missed!
They just have buckets of stones sitting around
The stones were their judge and jury and the bucket their courthouse.
