Introduction to Cyclical Living and the Menstrual Cycle: Understanding Your Inner Seasons

In this video I explore the menstrual cycle in relation to cyclical living and the inner seasons. Your menstrual cycle can be understood in four different phases which occur each 28-35 day cycle. These four phases are inner winter, inner spring, inner summer and inner autumn. Each season correlates with the different days within your menstrual cycle. It is important to remember that everyone is different and so our cycles look different too. If you have ever wondered why your emotions fluctuate so much every single day of the month then this video is for you. No, you are not crazy in fact it is so normal to experience these ebbs and flows as someone who menstruates because of your hormones, but there is also a spirituality connected to this known as cyclical living. The inner seasons of the menstrual cycle correlates to different times within your cycle from the luteal phase, to follicular to ovulation. But what makes cyclical living so different is its attention to spirituality, as well as the ebb and flow you experience during this time and how these different emotions and experiences do not mean anything is wrong with you, but rather are a gateway to your magic and power as a bleeding being.
Cyclical living works by paying attention to the menstrual cycle and how the four phases of your menstrual cycle mimic the seasons in nature. Which is incredible because through this we really begin to understand how we are not separate from nature but truly a part of nature.
