Helpful and informative information. Seeing this in a store in the U.S. was very impressive. It seems to sit in a good mid-prize range as well.
Great review. Can’t wait for you to review X95L 85”!!! I want!
Superb review, I'm really impressed with your knowledge on Gaming options.
He didnt say that dolby vision is not possibile with 4k 120hz on PlayStation
What a great review, really appreciate the detailed comparisons with the OLED and X90K, A for an effort.. subscribed for future content..
Much appreciated! And thanks for the sub 👍
Great review 👍
Love the Bravia’s - I picked up a X95K - 65inch - on sale in my local Best Buy $1100 - Amazing - there is a little blooming as its a mini-LED - but the picture quality is amazing.
I picked up a 65'' X90L for 1499 euros and after a three months of use I'm very happy with it. Still I'm afraid of oled's tv's because of burn-in. Thanks a lot for this great video!!!!
Hello, do you know if you can turn the tv on and off using the remote control but without pointing it at the sony X90L tv??
I’ve had a Sony OLED for 7 years and no burn in.👍
@@iFlyTheWorld Hi, a question, can you turn the tv on and off using the remote control but without pointing the control at the tv? Because I read somewhere that the power button on the remote control was infrared and you'd have to point it at the TV to turn it on and off

Anybody used this tv to play videos from hard drive.. please if Anybody have an idea of this experience
X90L looks amazing at the shops!
Clear concise straight to the point and detailed information. Subbed! Well done mate!! American reviews of TVs are sensationalised and have too much personal opinion and extra unnecessary fluff.
Can we please have a head to head comparison of A80J and X90L?
I bought the x94k (x90k) 75inch 2022 model last week , 24months free subscription to bravia core and 10 free movie downloads ,came with a aluminium backlit remote.
It does bloom in dark rooms but still not that bad.(no tv is perfect) Over all great value for the money. Plus the colors and motions are amazing. Paid clearance price £1350. And you make great videos!! 👍
Totally agreed, i paid about 850usd for 65’ x90k, great value comparing with x90l which retails around 1300usd in my local store.

I bought the X90J (in 75") two years ago and have been very happy with it. The TV gets software updates so mine has the Eco Dashboard app as well. I don't feel the need to upgrade to the X90L. The X95L on the other hand is a different beast.
Hello, do you know if you can turn the tv on and off using the remote control but without pointing the remote control at the sony X90j tv??
Can you please recommend type of sound bar for pairing with this TV? Sony soundbar if possible.. thank you❤
Great video! When you talk about viewing angles, I plan to get a 75 inch with a couch that 1.5 feet wider than the tv on leach side and we will sit about 10 feet away. Seems mildly off center but would those end seats be affected?

What do you think about Tcl C835 for gaming experience?
Which TV would you recommend buy at same or similar cost as X90L for 65 inch?
Great review! Anyway I need a new TV this year. Last time I got new one maybe about 10 yrs ago and my budget is $1200 Questions;
1. Should I get Oled A80L since burning in still an issue?
2. How about A75L?
3. Or should I get Old tech LED this X90L and good for another 10 yrs?
4. I sit about 9 ft distance, is 55 inch good enough?
Thank you
Is it really an update the extra cost comparing X90K and X90L?
Thanks for Nice reviews and simple explanations. Could you please comment on below doubts to help me take my decision:
1. How does it compare with Oled tvs in the same proce range like LG C2. Lg c2 vs x90l?
2. Is x90l full array led plus xr triluminous tech give better picture quality than Qled tvs?
16:34 What is absent in this model for the sound?? Thank you. Couldn't catch it
Thankx 😊
Could you please tell on the brightness issue
We see the white is dominating all over sometimes
Currently here in India it is coming at the same price as A80J.
Which one should I choose ?
Great review! There LG OLED and OLED Evo models available in similar or slightly higher price ranges, what's your take on that?
Excellent review - could you please do a comparison with the A80L? I'd like to know if its worth spending another $1000 for the OLED over this one.
This head-to-head will be coming soon!
I just went through this, with an A80, A95 (I think), X95, X90, and X75 on the same wall at Best Buy, getting fed the same signal, with the abililty to pause on any frame and examine the picture on each screen. I bought the X90. I went in thinking I might end up buying the A80, or even A95, but found it hard to justify the money. When the salesman paused on an image of a lamp against a black background, and pointed out the blooming, I was dumbfounded, I had to look so closely to see it on either the X90 or X95. I also found the blacker blacks to be a non-benefit, as detail in shadows was clearly lost on the A80 that was visible on the X90, X95, and A95. I found very little difference between the X90 and X95. Even studying high-contrast images where i could see some bloom, it didn't look any different between the two sets. While I found the blacker blacks to be of more novelty value (How many scenes are really true black, and even the bloomed black seemed pretty darn close enough?), I thought the brightness of the X90 / X95 during daylight scenes or scenes with fire or explosion added a lot to the viewing experience. It felt much more like walking outside watching the backlit sets than the OLED sets. I will say, though, that this was in the brightly lit store, so I hope I don't regret the decision when I see it in my dark viewing room. I also have to say that I'm new to video, but as a longtime audiophile, I'm accustomed to looking for differences in equipment performance. So certainly, I don't expect you to take my word as gospel, but consider it as one fo the voices, and see if you see the same things when you go shopping.
When is the x95l review coming? Be handy before black Friday 😅
Please do a review video for sony x82l
I’m curious which Sony soundbar is used here. Trying to figure out if my Vizio M-Series Elevate would fit under this 55” TV
Can the X90k get the Game menu?
Can someone tell me if the samsung cu8500 is the same kind of LED screen? I heard this is a much better tv and can't be compared to that samsung one. But wondering if they both have the same LED type. Thanks.❤😀 i dot know anything about tvs 😂
Is the x95l 85in only!?
I got the 85 inch and I love it
Your reviews on the Sony tv's are excellent. I do have a quick question. II live in the US and tomorrow Wal-Mart is offerings the Sony 75X90k for $898 on Black Friday deal and the X90K is $1499.00 In your expert opinion is the 90K worth the $600 more in cost than the L version.
Great job ! Santa is coming early !
They removed wifi direct screen mirroring on the Android TVs. I know it doesnt work on the X90J. Must be the same on the L TVs too. Can the reviewer stream to this Sony TV from a Samsung phone using Smart View and wifi direct.
Hello, a question, can you turn on and off using the remote control but without pointing the control at the sony X90L tv??
Can you compare Sony X90L Vs. Samsung Qn90C ?
I own the X90K and in no way the blacks are so lifted and contrastless like in 8:58. I wouldn't have bought this model if so. I guess you used presettings for that comparison. Then X90L presets have been tweaked. Great review though. Subscribing right now.
Hello, a question, can you turn on and off using the remote control but without pointing the control at the sony X90K tv??
Still waiting for stores to get these models on display. I have my eye on the 85" but can't help but feel I get more for the money with the QM8 or a smaller oled. Thank you for another excellent video!

hey, will this TV be better for LG OLED55C32LA?
Nice review. The whites sound dodgy. Please review the QN95C..
A comparison between the sony x90l and lg qned85 please!
What to choose? This one or Sony KD-65X85L
I think one specific usecase that really showcases blooming and difference between backlit, full array, mini led and oled is when on a dark scene such as night scenes in daredevil, captions are turned on.
On my edgelit LED TV, it is super irritating that a very decent dark scene (possibly decent because I am used to the loss of details in dark scenes), gets greyed out for a second when captions pop up and goes back to very dark again when it goes off.
This keeps happening as captions are visible or hidden and this alternating greyness is very irritating to the eye and breaks the immersion too. I would request if a chapter can be added showcasing this as it is a very common usecase (at least from my anecdotal experience).
This is so true I’m glad someone mentioned it.
Yes, these reports about blooming are holding me back.
Also, is it just me, or do all Sony non oled TVs have dark corners in the screen?????
I'm looking for a new TV and have always been satisfied with Sony, but my TV doesn't have local dimming, and it seems to come with both benefits as well as downsides... I'd like to see some unbiased TCL and Hisense TV reviews, but I feel like most of those reviews are all sponsored and they'll just praise it because they get paid for it.
can we consider X90L to go with ?
What offset viewing angle are we talking here when the picture starts to degrade?
Thanks for the great review
I have one at home in 75". I'd guess about 45 degrees it starts to degrade a bit. It really doesn't wash out until nearly on the side, which is a preposterous angle. I've had it at home next to an LG OLED A2 (same price), and the A2 is noticeably better from off angles.
How is it compared to x85l? Is the x85l good for gaming?
I got X90L for half the price so I’m ok with it. I just prefer Sony always, even tho other brands are good too. I think those soundbars are too expensive tho, even with a nice Black Friday discount.
Plus, I was going to get the best Blu-ray 4K player they have but it lacks the Dolby Vision.
I have the sony x90h and want to upgrade, is this tv a lot better?
Should i buy this or the A80J? Does the A80J also have the same tv speaker technology? And how's the difference in smoothness? And does the A80J have have the same gaming features? I need to know!!
Personally I would go for the A80J. The only exception to that is if you are going to be using the TV in a bright room with lots of natural light then I would go for the X90L
Great review! how does it compare to the TCL QM8
Sony out Turkiye market for some reasons, we have Samsung TCL and LG and local brands. What you recommend for similar performance LED.
Hi, Is it possible to sideload APKs on the Sony X90L 85 inch since it is running Google TV and it has an android OS behind it? Or Sony can add something to block APK?
please review the Sony X93L in 85"
10:13 what was the angle here?
X90L 65' or Lg B3 for gaming and movie viewing?
I was in until the reflection test😮
What do you prefer X90L Or QN90C 65'
I wish I could talk to you. I am in a position of being able to buy a sony x93l from us and a sony x95l from uk. I want the 75 Inch version. My question is, is the sony 75 inch x95l uk better than the x93l from the us? Which is which? should I just wait for 2024 x95M? I am so confused.
Does the sonos ARC fit underneath the front of the TV?
The arc is 3.4" or 87mm high so you'll need that much clearance under your TV for this to work. The X90L has a soundbar mode for it's legs so it should fit underneath, but its always worth checking the spec sheets.
Make video x90l side by side lg c2 old
Does this has Filmmakers Mode?
Those reflections...
I have arrived on the decision that I will go for Sony for sure. So what would you recommend? 75" X90L or 65" A80L for OTT streaming (movies & series) to upgrade from 50" LED TV? My priority is picture quality and sound.
If it wasn't for the blooming issus and around the black bars this would be my smart choice. But the tcl qm8 and Hisense u8k does it so much better in that department due to its more local dimming zones and mini led but the sony has a better motion and upscaling and colour with a very slight sharpness to it due to the chip inside so for me it's either the tcl qm8 or the sony x90l
For me the upscaling makes a bigger difference. I watch so much low quality streaming content
Just adjust the gamma
I really appreciate your reviews; thanks! I'm trying to decide between the X90L and the X93L; we mainly watch broadcast (news, etc) and movies; no gaming to speak of. "Semi" bright room, viewing is within a few degrees of straight-on. Is there a distinct advantage to the "mini" LED vs. the X90's LED? Worth the $1k difference? We can afford either; just looking for the most logical choice for our viewing. Thanks!!
No impact on broadcast but when we talk about watching movies in a semi bright room. Mini led will be a better choice because of increased brightness and also because of colours. Premium tv also bring additional perks like better speakers and software so if you have the budget go for a mini led tv
Hi,
Thinking of upgrading in your opinion is the x95l worth the extra £900 over the x90l main use for tv is for films and everyday tv
Yes it is.
can you guys compare a80l and a90l please I am gonna buy a new tv and I am confused is oled worth it?
Not worth the extra bucks. There's a point of diminishing returns I got x89k and x95k not much difference
How does the 98" X90L compare the 100" X92?

Is it better than samsung 65QN90B, I'm confused to choose between 65X90L and 65QN90B?
I'm now regretting not buying 65QN90B when it was available for 1100 euro... Great TV, great price.
Now it's out of stock, and in no way I'm paying 1500 euro for Sony mid-range TV.

A80k 65 or X90L 75 which be a better choice
Please suggest
I have a80k 65 but tempted to sell that and get X90L 75 inch
I don’t want to regret my decision as oled has great picture quality
Your opinion would be valuable
I would say you should decide what your priorities are, if bright daytime scenes or dark nighttime scenes are more important to you. That's what it came down to for me, and I chose the X90L over the A80L, based on viewing in-store. But if the darkest blacks are very important to you (or some other aspect, like picture clarity), the A80 could be a very sensible choice. The other thing to consider is if the gains in going to an X90L will outweigh the losses. I hate losing something I've already gotten used to, even if I gain something else. But everyone is different in that regard. Time for some soul-searching. Good luck with whatever you choose. I can't wait to get my X90 to see if I made the right choice.
@@louisxiiiiHi, I've read about the loss of quality when viewing at an angle , what what point does this occur if at all?
Thanks
@@palmlifeuk3553 Hi, I've had the TV for a while now, and I feel like I made an excellent choice. My room isn't very big, but I can sit anywhere on the couch directly opposite it, without any noticeable degradation. If I stand near the TV an d off to the side, the colors get a little washed out, but not really too bad. Nothing like TVs of years ago, where the picture would be seriously hard to see. By the time you get to that angle, the view is so skewed geometrically, it's unpleasant to watch, all pretense of fidelity is gone, and the loss of intensity is the least of the problems.
Maybe if you're a very experienced and fussy viewer, you could see something, so check one out for yourself to be sure. But honestly, I don't see any difference with off-axis viewing under normal conditions at all.
I buy it nxt month

Great review on the X90L! I have my mind pretty much set on the 85" X90L. However, when I went to the store recently and seeing a side-by-side comparison with Samsung QN85C, I'm having a dilemma here. The Samsung QN85C seems to have better pictures when playing some Amazon Prime movies, and I like how slim they are. However, I'm a Sony fan, so I'm kind of torn on which one to get.
By any chance you have plan to compare this two TV in your future video? If not, do you have a recommendation on which one you would get?
Sony fan year too. I had a Samsung before and I gave it to my parents. They had a LG and another Samsung that all died. I have older Sony’s that are still alive. Plus for what I’ve seen, overall, Sammy assistance is not good.
I feel like Samsung and LG have a "short-term image quality guarantee" Lol. Like they look beautiful at first then the image starts to degrade as the years go by. I've never seen a Sony tv image degrade, well yet at least. I've seen more Samsung TVs break over any other tv (I actually saw 3 at the dumper this year lol). Like you mentioned " I like how slim they are". I think that slim build makes them very fragile. Also, I always like to think about all the products a company makes. I feel like Sony ONLY works with TV, gaming, movies, music, etc. On the other hand, Samsung has all that above and more! Cell phones, fridges, washer machines, etc. I personally feel like that takes away from a Samsung working on quality TV monitors because their main focus isn't perfecting TVs. If you get what I'm saying.
Well stated. @@GojoDClay
I choose x90L and A80L OLED which one is best?.. x90l 75" price i get only 65"inch A80L OLED
X90L has (for the price u pay) sever blooming. And it has Matte finish on the screen. A80L is great black but sever black crushing. VERY dim. Like 800nits etc. it’s too dim for extra money u pay. They are both like can get phased out within 3 yrs if getting either. If u see anything day time like bright scenes most UA-cam shows influncers are shoot in their contents in bright room. The contrast of medium low shades to medium high shade is so low, adding color on top. Things can look VERY flat very quick. U better off getting those X93L or those HIsnese U8K or Samsung Qn90C type of thing INCKY black i saw in store. :) yeah that x90L looks VERY dull in person.
Can everyone give me your opinion? I want to buy a 75X90L but one problem is that this TV is black at the 4 corners of the screen and blooming a bit. The question here is should I reduce it to 65 inches to buy the 65X95L, is it worth it (75x90L vs 65X95L)? And does the black screen corner phenomenon still occur on the X95L? My room does not have direct sunlight and does not have too many bright lights white, just yellow lights, picture lights. The content I mainly watch is soccer and TV channels, sometimes I watch a little Netflix
Can someone tell me what TV console he has in this video?
It’s from ikea, I believe the 60 or 70 inch model. I like the floating version, it doesn’t cost more and it looks neat, plus it comes in a million colors and finishes. I think it’s the “besta” model, but you should look through all of them, there’s a ton of different sizes and variations with the same vibe. There’s center cubbies, no cubbies just slats, cubbies on the ends, floating stands, stands with legs, stands that sit on the ground etc. good luck!
I picked up a HISENSE 55U8KQ ( the better one they say... ) and to be honest i did not like very much...I change for the X90L and feel better overall, you think this is normal? The technology is inferior but the image is better...How do you explain that? Cheers!!
For a non gamer, is the $1400 price difference worth it between the 85X90L & the 85X93L?
Great video! I persobally think the x90l is in a slightly difficult spot. If you only care about TV, LG offers oled at that price range. If you care mostly about gaming Id say x85k on budget which has very stable clear picture with no issues, jus no deep blacks. or if you want to invest the extra money to get strong black levels id go all the way to the x93 which is a much better tv than the x90
Uhh you're incorrect. For a 65 inch (as an example) the X90L is $1199...what OLED is at that same price at that same size??
@@redpillthinking6043 LG B3 is 1200 at bestbuy
What about x90L vs x95k?
I’m debating that myself. X90L sounds like a solid 85” option but the fomo of the quality with a95k or comparable models is the question.
65x90k or 55x90l? I can get the x90k locally for $100 less with an extra year of warranty. Any thoughts? I need to decide in a few hours.
totally depends on your space! If you think bigger is better then go 65" - there's not a huge difference in the models for that to make you go for a smaller screen unless you think that's the best size for your room!
@@smarthomesoundsok, I'm getting the 65x90k today! As long as there isn't a big difference between the two in terms of PQ, then I won't have buyer's remorse. The X90L does provide the narrow stand position
YES ,he is correct.there are 3 possible positions
Depends on region. The American version only has low & sound bar, but the European version includes the narrow position. I’m not sure about Asia & Africa.

With Sony's A series soundbar you can use your TV as a center speaker for vocals and high pitch sounds.

I am torn. My X90J panel went out and Best Buy is replacing it. I can do an even exchange and get the X90L or pay a premium and get the A80L. I have kids that always have the TV on so OLED burn in is a fear.
My Costco x90k did the infamous fade to black screen after 7months of ownership. Went through Costco/Sony warranty. Process was super easy. Sony just asked me to send some pictures of the issue and now they’re sending me this L model in a week or so. Good luck! I just hope this new model won’t have the same issues.
Input lag outside of gaming mode in this TV is insanely high
Is it worth the upgrade from Sony A95L?
This is a downgrade from that tv - in every way
lol If you have an A95L (which Isn't even out at the time of this writing) the only possible tv you could "upgrade" to
would be a $200,000 MicroLED.

Do you recommend this 90L instead the LG qned 80 series or the hisense u8?
I had all 3 (s90c, c3, and a80l) i loved the hdr performance of the s90c, hands down the best of the 3, but content on youtube tv looked too soft and no dts playback irked me. The c3 and a80l were close but I actually found the a80l to place the highlights in better spots with greater impact, also depth and color volume was better imo on sony and provided a more 3 dimensional picture where as the c3 came out a little too flat. Which shows messurements dont tell the whole story of performance. Also sony motion was much better than the c3, i found the s90 could get closer to a80 but the sony was clearly the best in dialing in the motion especially for movies to my liking (no soa). They are all good tvs, im coming from an lg oled and samsung flagship before that. This is my first sony and i am understanding why so many people are willing to pay the price premium for sonys over the other two. I returned the other 2 and kept the a80.

Is that better then A80L oled tv?
Samsung QN90A vs X90L vs TCL S5 vs AWOL 3500 pro -----OOH😮 !
I end up getting last year's 65" X90K model for $200 USD cheaper than X90L in my local marketplace. Just something you might consider.
How does the x90L compare to the qn85c?
