Lovely how V10 and straight 5 engines have the unique note. Although I love V12 and straight 6 engines because of the perfect balance, I gotta say V10 and I5 sound the best.
Despite how easily it can break, it does sound incredible.
The engineer who designed the starter placement is on the hit list of every BMW tech/owner.
There is nothing wrong with the S85 motor. It is a race motor and should have been serviced as one. Beast of a motor up top.

The call of ktulu at the beginning for itself deserves the like.
Customer : my starter went out.
There's no need to install it in the car, its easier to fix it like that its going to break anyways.

Something weird about seeing an engine runnning and revving outside the car
Metallica's S&M on the background adds to the coolness factor, IMO.

That is still one of the best sounding engines ever made! its a shame they have so many issues as a road car or I would buy one.
