      I like Donald. I despise someone as simple as he is, but like Red said. He's FBI's bloodhound. True lawman. As much as you can count on Red to do the right thing you can count on Donald to do the lawful thing. Samar and Park are not so bad aswell. • @LabTech41
      @LabTech41 2 роки тому +50

      The confession wasn't for the courts, it was for the FBI agent to hear so that he'd be let off the hook ex post facto given the revelation that he hired the would-be assassin. Does anyone here REALLY think that was an antidote? Has Reddington demonstrated at any point that he thinks the legal system works, or that those who swim in the same waters he does deserve to live?
      No, this is classic Reddington: put someone into a crisis and then dangle salvation over them, and ALL they have to do is give him what he wants; at which point he politely quips and then kills you anyway, because the salvation was false hope in order to make you compliant.
      Everything was arranged so that it would've turned out like it did, and so the FBI now knows the philanthopist was a human trafficker and will thus forgive Reddington for his actions.
      The notion that this woman was somehow going to be punished for her crimes by the legal system is farcical, because who do you think runs the legal system? Why do you think Epstein's little black book has never seen the light of day? Who do you think are the ones those traffickers are getting the victims FOR?
      Nah, just get your 'get out of jail free' card and punch her ticket; best resolution you're going to get in this sick and shadowy world.

    It only shows what you see is not what is. Shambles, corruption, gangs, mafia, etc. Still blew my mind as it was so sinister and yet understated... the quiet evil of the woman and what she was doing undercover of charity of all things! Pure evil... and the way she was so proud of it and laughed in Reddington's face, even the nazis would have been impressed with her! I'm pretty sure she'd be a fascist given a chance in those days. And the reality and realisation of the fate and life of the trafficked women. It just sent shivers down my spine and I'm glad they didn't show or dwell on it. And to have Isabela Rossellini as the main evil character in the episode was as shocking and impressive... evil but brilliant! I could watch her every day. She can even overshadow James/Reddington.

      Though I don't support any of it I think Human trafficking (If you don't do smuggling) is the most profitable if you have good contacts also it will give you good leverage on people.
      Arms trafficking may be profitable if you are the sole or operate in a very sopisticated market for a long time but it brings to much attention and very difficult but Narcotics will be always be the most profitable for a professional criminal but in the long run you will get caught for drugs or arms the heat was massive but Human trafficking is the most safest. I thing thats why Los Zetas, Sineloa and NJCL are making it their parallel main source of income. Meth, Heroin, Cocaine will always bring heat from the DEA cause it takes out massive USD out of US.
      The United Nations estimates the total market value of illicit human trafficking at 32 billion US dollars (ILO, 2005). It is nothing infront of 650 billion of drug trafficking or 115 billion of arms trafficking but I think it is the most safest cause the products remains with you to reuse multiple times and the addiction will never end.

What a dense, annoying and unfathomably self-righteous character that the only thing she does throughout the seasons is become more annoying. She never learns anything and keeps on become more and more self-absorbed. She almost ruined this series and whoever wrote her should never, ever again write anything in what life they still have.
    You could've had 2 Reds in this series if she was properly developed but they went in a spy vs spy thing that didn't fit her character at all and just made her more asinine...

      That is the point, this is season 1, Elizabeth don't know Red, far as she concern, he is a sociopathic criminal mastermind who is for some reason obsessed with her.
      Megan is a decent actress if you see her other roles, the fault of the writers shouldn't be blame on the actors.

    It's such a shame just how unfocused The Blacklist is in my opinion, suffering from the same problem that The Walking Dead eventually came to. Due to the sheer brilliance of much of the acting and scenes, both would easily be considered some of the best things ever made in filmography if there just wasn't so much damn filler content diluting it all with so many twisting plotlines intersecting that it became borderline incoherent and unwatchable!
