This was a great example of how Tommy made Luca think he was backed into a corner. He was able to think outside the box and a perfect execution on winning the war and losing the battle.
Luca’s ego and desire to keep Thomas alive while he killed everyone else was what ultimately led to his demise. He could’ve very easily killed Thomas in their first encounter, which would’ve made things play out a lot differently. But he let his thirst for revenge cloud his judgement
@@moztar6247 His mother told him to do it that way.. to inflict the maximum amount of hurt on Tommy. On a related note, if John and Arthur had killed her (the "good" woman) like Tommy told them to, John would've lived.
Billy Kimber: Had the resources, but he underestimated Tommy Darby Sabini: Had the power, yet never had the right resources Father Hughes: Dumb Luca Changretta: Had the power, the resources, Never had the brain to defeat Tommy Jimmy Mccavern: Trained, had resources, pretty smart. Michael Gray: Dumb fuck Oswald Mosley: Tommy s hardest challenge…
Problem with Moseley is that he’s protected by the very same shadows that now protect Tommy as well! This is why Tommy confessed to being as bad as the same people in the room when it was him Moseley’ wife, Jack.. Tommy knew to kill Moseley would be a huge mistake despite how awesome it would feel 😅
yeah considering Al Capone was from NY and moved to Chicago to start his own thing so it seemed weird that would even want to start his own war with NY when he left for the very same reason. Someone did not do their research.
By faking Arthur's death Luca thought he had brought the military power of the peaky blinders to zero and Tommy guessed that Luca would want to take over his business and he made friends with luca's rivals in the meantime... so in short he predicted this would happen.
You’re right. Even if Arthur was dead and didn’t appear in this scene, that doesn’t change any of Tommy’s strategy at all. Arthur pulling the trigger could have been anyone else pulling the trigger.

100% . Kinda actually irritates me. He could've just done it there and then and had a good life 😂. But nooooooo he had to be a gabagool abou it
@@moztar6247a gabagool😂😂😂

Best scene of the series !
Love this scene! Not my favorite villain take down in the show but a really good one!

Father Hughes dumb 😂😂😂😂
Did anyone notice Tommy’s tie go missing towards the start of the scene?
Luca is a great villian, I kinda like him in ss4 ^^
That was pretty sweet.
His demise is crazy
who portray s iuca?
Adrien Brody
This always felt a bit contrived. Honestly not the slickest or most memorable doublecross in the show.
This for me was when the show officially "jumped the shark"
Felt like there was no realistic way they could have actually beat him cos he was too good of a villain
It's always been a ridiculous and over the top show
would have been much better if they removed the bullets from his gun first

How did they use his death to win the war?

I think if Luca dies in the vendetta it's over. Listen to what Tommy says

Always felt this moment to be somewhat unsatisfying, and the season disappointing overall
John's death especially was always feel rushed
