Ive used both, walker is 100% the better machine. the cut quality isnt even close

The part where you started speaking about your daughter, got me to like this video "boy or girl, no middle ground" was an awesome addition to everything else you said about how to rise them.
I ran both. Always preferred Walker. The controls are super smooth. I stopped running this style machine a decade ago. Mainly because we don’t bag as much. We do a lot of large properties and some have pool areas with grass so we’ll throw on catcher for that and maybe the area between the back door / deck and pool area.
OMG hearing you talking about your daughter I feel like we raise our kids the same. I own 2 large Property Preservation companies cover 4 states and right now I'm helping my daughter open her own company in her name and getting her set to go...I helped her learn how to build her credit starting at 16, she will now at 19 be running a Preservation company.....I'm so proud of my 3 daughters as they are hard working excellent members of society!!!! Good job dad!!!!

I ran a walker for many years, and a scag walk behind for many more. The grass collection and vacuum of the walker couldn't be beat, but I always preferred the traditional stripe of the walk behind.
I'm not really sure why I spent 45 mins on this video or the 45 minutes on the previous video - my wife would never let me purchase a $20K mower haha. I guess I just enjoy watching your videos & I can appreciate a nice mow. Great work! I use a walk behind Encore mower!

Can't wait to see the yard mowed down to 2.5" and see the aeration and top dressing take place ... It's a lot of work if you don't have the right equipment for a big yard.
Just bought a Walker MTGHS to replace my older MCGHS mower that I use on my own acreage up in Calgary, Canada. After the first year of using one I don’t think I could ever go without. I have a lot of respect for how well they do their job and such a pleasure to operate.
I’ve run a walker for a few years. My experience with them is mixed. I found it more cost efficient to add a bagging system to my existing mowers. Plus the walkers are EXTREMELY sensitive to anything other than grass getting into the blower housing. I think replaced 2 blower housings in the time I was using the walker. I run over a stick the wrong way and it bent the blower blade. But they are excellent if you’re just bagging grass. But all in all if that all you do in your business it’s worth it. But for me it’s better to have a mower I can go from side discharge to bagging in the matter of seconds.

Pete, great work in putting the content together. I just ordered my first Walker about 2 months ago. It came in and will be delivered once my house is complete in July in the NE. I got the same one you are testing T27I, I think it will be perfect for what I need, in reality somewhat overkill. However, really looking forward to making my yard look like yours. Well done.
Completely agree on the hydros! I demoed the Walker, Exmark and Toro. I’ve owned a walker for 9 years now. By far smoother. I also agree there’s no real stripe quality difference between them.
I ran Walker mowers for 18 yrs until they boned me on a wheel pump under warranty. Switched to Navigator & can tell you it is a much better machine. Everything is over designed which i love because i'm an Mech Engineer.. Understand the hydraulic systems for starters. Next look at the mulching features. I could go on forever
Nah walker is better easier to maintain and leaves a way better cut and it’s noticeable on tall fescue
I bought a 2018 MT-25i. The machine never fails to deliver. Super easy to maintain. I paid $15K. Admittedly - $20K is steep for a mower. I absolutely love my machine!

Walker T27i is the best ! You can’t beat the cut and it’s great for fall leaf 🍁 clean ups! 😁👍🏻

While I couldn't get the Z3 Ferris this year....i JUST brought home (yesterday) my brand new Z1 to hopefully improve efficiency on the yards I mow. Its my first stand on, and MAN i like it so far. Thanks for the extended review on all the different standers. It helped me decide to go with my first stander, even if it wasn't the exact model. My Exmark Viking has an INSANE amount of hours (unquantifiable) and I bought the Ferris Z1 36" and added a mulch kit. Now I can mostly keep the Exmark Viking for back up, or bagging/discharging if necessary, but it wont be used much, and extend the life on that mower. I still have an Ole School Scag 52 walk behind. At some point, it will be replaced with a Z3X I think. One thing you may want to look at in this comparison: How well they cut when that grass gets overgrown. Your busy like me, and Im sure there are times when the grass can get out of hand QUICK.

Cut quality= walker. Best bang for your buck= Exmark. Exmark is the leader in the industry for a reason!
Used the walker every day on a landscape crew and loved it... but it takes a little skill to learn to use it on slopes and dewy grass. It'll spin out on the slightest hills. Has a very sensitive feel. You need to learn to mow backward up a slope in certain situations. Still, my favorite mower to use on high-end lawns--although our mechanic grumbled about the maintenance, but then that wasn't my problem. :)

Pretty cool mowers with lots of good qualities but to be honest I prefer how walk/ride behind mowers stripe and handle hills. There's just something about the two new test mower stripes that just don't look right to me and the fact that I can't use it on hills due to tip over risk. For flat ground they would be great.
Wouldn't buy either one. Really don't like that center wheel line that is left in the lines. Not trying to be rude but that center wheel just looks horrible in drone footage to me. But like you stated, we all like different looks, so all good! Like the line look at 7:22, that's as bad as looking at a Chevy. Just like I am not a fan of your foot prints with your walk behind, can you float? I've always thought your lines look a belt with the holes your feet leave. Why I like the lines the sit down zero turn mowers leave much better as there is no feet, no center wheel, just a pure shinning like a new penny line. I personally love my Kubota Z781 60" with a 30HP EFI. And my Kubota cuts at the height stated too. And it too can get a fancy auto dump vacuum system.

I bought a Toro 800 and really like the cut and stripes it makes… No walker dealer anywhere near me (honestly never looked at one) and the Exmark looked to be that same. Added a duel rear wheel as I was tearing up the yard when I first got it. Probably spend as much time cleaning it as I do cutting because I spent so much for a mower for a relatively small yard(25000 sq ft) With this being the second season using the Toro/Exmark I can see the difference, I don’t regret my purchase in anyway but do get a bit butthurt when I hear Walker is better. It may be just wish more would agree with my purchase 😀
What are you looking for? I ask as a proud Walker owner operator. I prefer Walker over Exmark/Toro because of the options. Mulch, side discharge, or bag Walker has you covered. I use the C23i because of the price, speed, and serviceability. I have a 52" mulch and 52" ghs deck.
Walker has more attachments available, quicker drive response, easier to work on , cut quality is awesome.
Hi Pete. Thanks for the review video. Honestly not impress on the cut quality or vacuum, but again Ive never own one. I would probably stick with a zero turn with a power bagger like a Hustler.😊
I’ve known Pete for over 10 years now never in a million years did I think he would get a collection mower! I’ve got 2800 hours on my walker and there is nothing like it

I like the option of having dual wheels for the catcher that roll in the tire marks from the machine so you don’t have the third wheel mark in the middle. This is an option for Walker, not sure about Ex Mark.

I think Walker is better only because this is literally ALL they make. They’ve mastered this style mower and there’s a reason it’s all they sell. Exmark definitely good but I think you go with Walker.
I've seen on several occasions the back of the clam shell smacking into poles, trees, vehicles and buildings

@@GCITurf I once put a crease along the side of my new one week old truck with the back corner of a bagger on a zero turn. I didn't even know it happened until after I spotted the damage 😅
Would be sorry interested to see some focus on the exmark badges for partial mulching and how it performs

I don't know why you would want to mow with the back hatch open. Kinda defeats the purposes of keeping grass out of your beds
I don’t get grass in the beds regardless if it’s opened of closed
Exmark has far less maintenance than the walker and imo the exmark is better built

We've had one and only one. Never again we had nothing but issues with the walker. The wiring was a joke. The thing ran so hot that it baked the oil in the hydros. Try replacing the battery. You have to pull part of the frame apart to replace it. We have since swapped to grasshopper cut quality is 10 times better than a walker.

That just not been my experience with a walker at all changing the battery is easy my walker has 980 hrs on it and I have abused it and used it hard
@@jasonfarley7990 I'm nobody's fan boy. In fact I'm not brand loyal. I also know I'm not the biggest dog on the block. We mow 150 lawns a week. Put 350 hours a year on multiple mowers. And the walker was the biggest letdown. I'm in this business to make money. Not be a fan boy like you.
@@joekane5029 I see a lot of old walkers running around. My walker dealer is also my Kubota dealer. And we buy a lot of Kubota equipment for plowing snow. And it's nothing personal, but I'm in this business to make money and the walker just didn't get it done. Mine was a walker 27i
