- The owner of this house, approached me to radically trim two overgrown Laurel hedges. After asking permission to make a video I started trimming the hedges with a Stihl HSA86 cordless trimmer, after going around the hedge I started trimming from the top but for this I used a Stihl HS82R as the branches were over 2cm thick and a cordless trimmer would not have done the job. This house was close to the railroad and there were trains running every 30 minutes, I was distracted by the loud noise even though I had my headphones on. After I finished pruning I started cleaning up, it was raining a little hard in places but it didn't bother me too much. At first I decided to blow everything out with a small Stihl BG86 blower, but after a while I noticed a lot of wet fallen leaves lying in the bushes and it was hard to do, so I took a big Stihl BR800 and the work became much easier. After packing everything into my trailer I decided to finish the job by mowing the lawn, when I finished the job the owner was very surprised that I had picked up all the leaves and mowed the lawn in addition to trimming the hedges and he expected me to charge extra for this job but I said it was not necessary. He then asked me to take on another home of over 5000m2.
After heavy pruning, the hedge started to look hollow, but in just a couple of weeks it will be covered in new leaves! - Навчання та стиль

@yasminkhan8588 You took the words right out of my mouth. One thing I noticed about the trains over there is that they are really quiet. Here in the States, most of our trains are Diesel Electric so you can really hear the diesel engine that powers the electric motors. I could live next to the tracks where this was videoed.

Commuter rail and freight in the back yard - I grew up in the 50’s across the street from freight trains, got used to the sound - put you to sleep.
Owner needs to pressure wash the driveway and sidewalks.

Thank you for your comment, that's right I suggested to the Homeowner myself that I wash his yard with a pressure washer and he agreed, so I will be doing that soon!

i was thinking that too when you trimmed the hedges. they looked naked, but it is so wet there and the foliage will begin to grown back. i knew you were going beyond what you needed to do. so grateful i am sure. using a blower is so much easier than raking. i was wondering why is he in such a hurry, then i realized i am watching it in a speeded up version. how crazy i am.

Those laurels were really overgrown, but I've seen you power through even worse ones! When you finished, they were perfect and they'll be gorgeous and green and thicker than ever in just a few weeks! You make it look so simple...
Your customers are always the luckiest people in their neighborhood. Not only do they get perfectly cut hedges, they often get a yard cleanup without charge, as well! All done by someone with crazy good, precision skills and a strong sense of integrity.

Well, I thoughtlessly planted the laurel hedge and also the rhododendron on the small path, as you know that they will become very wide and sprawling over the years. And the high-pressure cleaner would also have to be used!!! The garden looks very neglected!
