No way to add those features you mentioned - that are pretty much useless for the everyday user - and not increase the price of the device. $649 for a 64 GB and 6 GB RAM device along with all the specs and hardware of this sounds like a good deal to me.

Jonah Parrish since when did good software become an excuse for a typical design ? I get that Oxygen OS is great but the handset does NOTHING to stand out in terms of design. The back is the same as the S9 plus and the front is the same as Huawei's P20. Look at how different and unique the OnePlus one looked compared to the S5 or iPhone 6. OnePlus is not the only company guilty of uncreative designs (in recent years) , pretty much the whole smartphone market is tending towards the "form over function" philosophy.

Am I the only one who thinks Oneplus should continue producing the older phones for reduced prices? A OP3T for 350 or a OP5 for 400 would be a hella midrange product with all of the great Oneplus software.
Very much expected design and specs. The camera was promised to be good in OnePlus 5 & 5T as well but they weren't as great. It's sad to see an enthusiast brand like OnePlus fading into the flagship competition like you said with Pixel 2 & iPhone 8 starting in mid $600 range. OnePlus is just another flagship option now, instead of a flagship killer. I understand that they are growing and that the company needs more profit to sustain but still this devie is no flagship killer.
mr mobile reviews are always as entertaining as as they are informative, they're the only tech reviews my wife will stop and watch with me regardless of the product being reviewed, thats pretty high praise in my opinion.
Just for the record, I just checked the samsung website. While they got new S9s coming with 256GB and 128GB for nearly the same price as the 64GB, and they offer trade-in option with up to $300 off. You can actually get a brand new S9 for less money than this, I won't even mention the S8, which is now even cheaper.
OnePlus is now drifting away from their own policy which helped them build such a strong fanbase - the price. Still no wireless charging, still only FHD+ for a 6.3'' display, almost a 5Tish design and vertical alignment of cameras. For the 845, OnePlus, how could you expect the customers to shell out 600$ when you get the Pixel 2 from 600$~650$? Poor decision, expected more. Pixel 2/S9 remain the bosses for now. #op6sucks

That mute switch is nice!! I like the audio jack in the bottom. That would save on headphones as the wire bends in my pocket because oddly enough I like to put the phone in headfirst. This could be for me. Wish it was cheaper.

There isnt a better phone at this price point. But 5T has almost everything minus 845. 835 on 5T is still a killer chip. So what new does the OP6 bring. The point being, shell 100 more dollars (10 more or less) and get the Pixel 2. You'd be happier.

I don't understand this notch trend. I would get it if there was completely no bezels. But there is still a massive chin at the bottom and a decently sized lip all around the edges. I think that's defeats the purpose of having a notch. At this point it's here because "it's the new thing" and not because it was necessary.

ahhhhh i didnt know that about lg oled. lg displays in general just suck ass (pixel 2 xl and oled LG phones get lots of screen issues like burn in) even their lcd panels (my lg g4 ghosted, my 2nd xiaomi mi5s with lg screen variant got display issues and my lg tv got display issues too). samoled is best oled LG sucks ass.
I am excited for the full view review of this phone. If one plus would be more specific on water resistantance, like Having a IP rating I'd be sold on this phone. Because at AT&T you literally can only get three phones the iPhone the lgv30 or the Samsung S9 and S9 Plus.
Ghost Rider Just where the display ribbon has to be. Checkout the Verge's publication on the matter before you mention that iPX doesn't have it. Turns out it does have a chin, only that it's on the back of the phone, apparently a much expensive technology that even Samsung isn't ready to use in its phones.
Hmm I think I'd rather wait until the price for the Samsung GS9 (64gb/but at least expandable) drops in the 550 EUR territory and get that. The display, stereo speakers and overall design are just awesome imo. Great video btw! :D
I have the Mate 10 Pro and love it. It's all ready received three patch updates as well. So Huawei is keeping their word and keeping the phone updated.

I'm fairly certain users wanted IP67, a bigger battery and a competitive price, not a notch, secondary camera and a superfluous and fragile glass back that doesn't do basics like wireless charging.
I'm pretty positive about the device at this point, but I can't deny that this is a pretty solid take.

Dan iel chin on iPhones are the worst 😂 only the x doesn't have a chin but a notch instead (thanks for making that a trend apple), Samsung which is android BTW has the best display of any phone in terms of everything.
Ahmet Bozdag asus, vivo, oppo, LG, just using ordinary oled not using the flexibel oled display like samsung or apple did for their phone.. so they cant bend the bottom of the screen to cut the chin.. but yes, 1+6 is an ugly copy-paste phone
ahhhhh i didnt know that about lg oled. lg displays in general just suck ass (pixel 2 xl and oled LG phones get lots of screen issues like burn in) even their lcd panels (my lg g4 ghosted, my 2nd xiaomi mi5s with lg screen variant got display issues and my lg tv got display issues too). samoled is best oled LG sucks ass.

The screen is gorgeous! We can ignore the notch though! Glad they kept the headphone jack! I was expecting wireless charging but it's ok either way!

I am excited for the full view review of this phone. If one plus would be more specific on water resistantance, like Having a IP rating I'd be sold on this phone. Because at AT&T you literally can only get three phones the iPhone the lgv30 or the Samsung S9 and S9 Plus.

Ghost Rider Just where the display ribbon has to be. Checkout the Verge's publication on the matter before you mention that iPX doesn't have it. Turns out it does have a chin, only that it's on the back of the phone, apparently a much expensive technology that even Samsung isn't ready to use in its phones.

I have the Mate 10 Pro and love it. It's all ready received three patch updates as well. So Huawei is keeping their word and keeping the phone updated.

I can't believe I used to own the one plus one, that phone wouldn't die for nothing but it had a lot of software issues, now we're on one plus 6 and I kinda want one but I'll wait for three pixel 3 to come out first
