For the life of me I don't understand why you would want to do that. I live in Southern California and I bought a Pontiac Firefly with turbo (which is essentially a Geo Metro with a turbo) from a man in Grand Prairie, Alberta, and then towed it back to Southern California with my Geo Metro. Going thru Edmonton, l lost a wheel bearing. Always having trouble with the wheel bearings anyhow. And extending the wheels out like that would just exacerbate the problem. I don't know why anyone would want to do that.
I’ve followed your channel (I just found it a few weeks ago) I was curious what gauge steel would you use for rocket repair on a 95 metro, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
It just depends on your ability to form it. Ideally if you can find a Metro in the wrecking yard and take your sawzall and just cut the section out you need a few inches larger than your rust ( I assume its rust). Perfect fit this way and very easy to blend back in. before you install the new section wash it all down with rust remover or rust converter. Rustoleum sells it in there brand at the big box hardware store.
So I bought my 87 Sprint Turbo thinking it felt just like a go-kart. I have 15" tires on there already and the later springs which are a bit more responsive and give me a little more clearance. This will be a good mod I think. I'm doing this and chopping the springs this weekend! Well I was going to lower it until I saw all of these crazy people off roading in it... Now second guessing myself. I see that it can be a go kart, but even better it could be turned into an offroad sand rail type of machine while retaining its license plates as long as it has a VIN and can pass emissions! Looking at ways that I could mate suspension off something like a Polaris Razor and getting custom CV axles made up somewhere. I think that may be a later phase when I get a new place where I can plug in a welding machine. Or maybe more practically, steal some Samurai parts? Any insight for my next machine is appreciated! I used to drive a RWD UTV (John Deer Gator) and it could go ANYWHERE. I bet a FWD would do even better, unless you have any ideas on stealing a transfer case off a Samauri?
The tires are probably to tall and you'll lose the use of your 5th gear. stay with stock tire size in a 12" or 13" at most. those taller tires kill the power and MPG.
Its good question, I've always wondered why supercars always are wider and longer than regular cars. Stability plus it makes Jeep owners look weak when I pull up next to them.
Not in the Geo's. Probably in the extreme wheels and HP of other 4wd or imports. Its an upgrade any time you can get a Geo a wider stance and start getting out of the free way road rutz that grab the wheel from you. You should always reset the caster and camber if you get extreme. But who has extreme wide tires on Geo?
FYI im a master technician and have done many alignments, race, drift, ect. It changes suspension geometry adding the spacers. Dont know specifically how it effects metros but I cam test it on mine and take measurements and show how it will affect the suspension geometry and suspension components.
All his videos are like that. In this video he doesn't sound as sleepy as he does in others. Poor guy tries though. I get a kick out of the excessive rambling, side thoughts and loss of focus of what he has as the subject/title. In the end I'm appreciative for these old school videos
What brand and model of tires are those? Size too?
Bro Give us and update how she doing man!!! I wanna get some for my focus

These gripa tires work great I also run them on my Suzuki carry when it’s not on the Mattracks. Unstoppable with the diff locks.
What brand tires are these?
was thinking about doing this to my metro, but wasn't sure on the dimensions for the spacer, thanks for the upload
can you provide the link for these spacers, thanks
That looks good!
i wish i had those wheels on the Geo Metro i had

@@ryanwashenesky5044 link please ?
mean looking rubber! Nice!!
What tire is that? Really aggressive I like it.
What lift kit did you use for your geo?
Does this throw your alignment off?
Know it just pushed the wheel out a bit farther
so is this a convertible version of the car?
Are those stock rims?
Yes they are
Geo Jeff what brand n model of tires??? Please, thanks
Thanks for the info!

@@Patriot3 until you cant fit between those trees and turn on a dime like that jeep can on switch backs.
so cool, can you give these cars a lift kit?
Yes
I love Americans and Geo Metro
Why?
if you had a metro you would know why
How is this an upgrade? You do realize putting spacers changes suspension geometry and may cause wheel bearings to fail sooner.

Ball joints also
It effects the scrub radius, but so does putting wider/different offset wheels. Nobody notices much difference in either case.
@@HataZetsumei 2 years and no results wtf
Good tyre but spacer is useless
