Hi there! A few viewers have pointed out that the cartoon illustrations of the apostles' faces in the video appear Caucasian, whereas the historical apostles most likely had darker skin tones and features more aligned with the modern Middle East.
Firstly, please let me say that I totally acknowledge this point - it's a fair criticism - and sincerely thank those who brought it up.
A little context: I didn't create the illustrations myself (I'm not that talented an artist, haha). I purchased an illustration pack of general historical figures from a really wonderful illustrator on Etsy and then tried to match faces from that pack to the traditional portrayals (particularly in paintings) of each respective apostle. What I didn't consider while editing was that those traditional paintings aren’t necessarily reflective of historical accuracy. In hindsight, it probably would have been wiser to stick with the simple "stick figures" I used elsewhere.
Another reason I might lean toward those types of illustrations in the future is that I have moderate-to-severe colorblindness - the intensity varies across the color spectrum. That's not an excuse for any missteps I've already made, of course (after all, I could have asked someone else for help, or maybe even used an app like ChatGPT). But it does make the stick figure route seem even more advisable.
Anyway, I realize that it's not possible to make a perfect video. And I also know that even bringing this up invites more annoyance... but I wanted to do so because my deepest ambition with these videos is to make the world feel more big-hearted, kind, and interesting.
I appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to improve *all* aspects of my work in service of that ambition. Thanks so much for watching, and I hope y'all have a wonderful day!

I wouldn't worry about it. They were not brown people. Josephus says the only way to tell a Greek from a Jew was the circumcision. The Song of Solomon describes Solomon's covered parts as white, his exposed parts as bronze and he had black hair.
These are Mediterranean people's, they are not Arabs or Ethiopians.
Don't let modern political correctness get in your way when you portray truths of the bible.

They WERE brown people though, and certainly not 'white' (a pejorative term) by way of their geological desert region. They weren't pasty and European-like with bright blue eyes as some would cling on to. But otherwise good video. It was a tremendous effort.

The New Testament contains several references to the martyrdom of St Peter, although it doesn’t describe the event itself in any detail. From the Church historian Eusebius, however, we learn that St Peter was martyred in Rome (c. 64 AD). According to an *ancient tradition* he was crucified upside down.

@gloryngoy6900 Nobody, on this side of heaven, will live without sin. That isn't the point. As Christians, we are called to forsake sin, not to wallow in it. Paul clearly emphasizes this point when he writes, Romans 7:15. However, 1 John 3:6 shows us that we can not continue to sin if God abides within us. Contradiction? Nope, here’s why...
You are carnal, and that means you are a son of Adam, even though your eternal is an adopted heir of God, thus making you His child, in this life, you will cause iniquity and trespasses. So, when you do sin, confess unto the Lord, and repent (change your mind) on that transgression to not do it anymore.
Will you still be led astray? Of course, but 1 Corinthians 10:13 says God will provide an escape from those temptations. However, the flesh is weak, and you may stumble, but when you do, remember 1 John 1:9.

@@TboneWTFthe Bible mentions three variations of slavery. To which is your argument based upon?
      1. Debt Slavery
      2. Indentured Servitude
      3. Chattel Slavery
For arguments sake, let's just agree you are referring to Chattel Slavery, as it is only this type of slavery in which the person becomes property. The other two, refer to bondservitude. And a bondservant is to be released during the year of Jubilee. The Year of Jubilee is a biblical concept that occurs every 50 years, following seven Sabbath years and seven "weeks of years".
Chattel, on the other hand, leaves us with the grim reality that embraced all cultures across every continent. However, that is NOT an excuse. Still, God gave many examples of how to treat those in Chattel Slavery. None of which were inhumane, as opposed to the rest of the globe.
The sad fact is, most people growing up in Western Culture, only see slavery through their Western eyes. They perceive it as Africans being subjects in the cotton industry. But what they fail to see, while seeking reparations, is that slavery was common among ALL cultures. Look into the Ottoman Empire and Northern African Slave trades for more information.
God has never, and will never, intervene with the free will of man. To do so, would be a contradiction of God's embodiment of love. Love never forces anything onto anyone, but rather, gives freely to those who believe. And yet, He does guide us with His righteousness and through His Word. That is why the treatment of Chattel Slaves was clearly defined to the Israelites. While the remainder of the world mistreated them.
May God bless you and keep you; May God shine His face upon you and be gracious to you; May God turn His countenance upon you and give you peace.

You are correct regarding James the Greater being beheaded by Herod Agrippa in Jerusalem as it says as much in the Bible. However, tradition has his ministry in the Iberian peninsula where his body was taken after he was martyred. That's why the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela has his remains in an ossuary below the alter in the cathedral there. Santiago is Spanish for Saint James - Sant is Saint and Iago Spanish for James. Since his death, pilgrims have made there way to Santiago to pay homage to his life and ministry for more than 1,000 years in what's called the Camino de Santiago or Way of Saint James. I've had the pleasure of walking the Camino Frances route to Santiago two times and hope to do it again in the future.

Hi! Thanks so much for your question! I'm not a scholar or historian by any means, but from everything I've researched, it seems there are different interpretations regarding the identity of James.
The confusion arises partly because there are multiple people named James in the New Testament, and different denominations and scholars have different views on their identities and roles. Like many aspects of early Christian history, this is an area where tradition, interpretation, and faith play significant roles.

Have you heard of the belief that John The Beloved was granted the opportunity to remain on the Earth and proselyte until the second coming?
    3 Nephi 28:6-
6 And he[Jesus] said unto them: Behold, I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.
7 Therefore, more blessed are ye, for ye shall never taste of death; but ye shall live to behold all the doings of the Father unto the children of men, even until all things shall be fulfilled according to the will of the Father, when I shall come in my glory with the powers of heaven.
8 And ye shall never endure the pains of death; but when I shall come in my glory ye shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye from mortality to immortality; and then shall ye be blessed in the kingdom of my Father.

Scholars can't know with certainty how true the details are about the deaths of the apostles because many of the stories come from later decades and centuries. The Bible only includes one story of an apostle's martyrdom, that of James, son of Zebedee, who was beheaded by Herod Agrippa in 44 A.D.. There is more evidence for the martyrdoms of other apostles, such as Peter, Paul, and James the brother of John, but less evidence for others, such as Matthias and James, son of Alphaeus

Jesus and god both created satan and use him to perpetrate evil on mankind but blame him for their evil.
I’ll explain: when Jesus went into the temple to pray, what did he do? He became angry that ppl were changing money in his father’s house. But instead of going over to them and peacefully asking them to leave. No, the buybull tells us he became angry and he grew patient. And while sitting and watching, he took chords of leather and formed them into a whip. The whip is a symbol of control and it’s a metaphor for a serpent, satan. He formed the whip, used it to display his anger, then dropped the whip and walked away. Giving all the credit for the evil he displayed but blaming it on satan. He formed satan in the thrown room of heaven, and god and Jesus both use him for the display of their anger.
Jesus and god are the evil ones in this story, but are so lame, they formed another deity to blame the cause of their evil on. And satanic has been trying to warn us all along.

    • @2411509igwt
      @2411509igwt 3 місяці тому +9

God IS good. He is the standard by which the world is measured. Although He is all-powerful, He cannot do evil--that would be an act of not-God, which is impossible for Him. Whether trolling or serious, your satanic inversion ploy is a rank blasphemy that only the blood of Christ can wash away. Blood which, by the way, is the ultimate refutation also of this particular demonic lie.

    • @plugshirt1762
      @plugshirt1762 Місяць тому

@@2411509igwt demonstrably false by the scripture. God is most definitely evil in every sense of the word but at the very least God being fallible in judgement is shown in scripture. He admits to being quick to temper and poor at managing it as well as going back on his own judgement numerous times such as him altering his own beliefs and deciding to no longer punish the on for the sins of the father. If God were really all powerful and all knowing such shifts of judgement and character shouldn't be possible in the first place. One of the largest examples is how he scoffs at Job for suggesting that God can't understand the suffering of people and then in the new testament it shows him doing that very thing by becoming a person to better understand the suffering of people and connect with them. His being the creator of life doesn't wash away his own evil nature despite how numerously he likes to state so and his standard is flimsy at best with how often it changes so morality can't even be based on the standard of God. Also worth noting is that if you question God wishing Satan to spread evil throughout mankind you are doubting God's all powerful nature by proposing he was powerless to stop Satan
