Herod's family is absolutely ridiculous. Imagine entering his house and calling: "Herod" and everybody turns around including the daughters, the servants and the house animals
Most sources I know (I think even Josephus though I'm not 100% sure) don't refer everyone as "herod ___" but just as "___", especially agrippas and agrippas II
Overwhelming to realize how long this chart might have taken to complete. It's like a quick reference for those who are studying the bible an wants to understand these events > Kudos. This is a great work.
The amount of information and knowledge this guy can put in the form of an easy to digest chart astounds me. Bravo! I'm learning more about Biblical history more than I ever did in seminary, and sunday school.

From Adam to Noah, the Hebrew names form a few Hebrew sentences: 1 Adam Man 2 Seth Appointed 3. Enosh Mortal 4. Kenan Sorrow 5. Mahahlalel The blessed God 6. Jared Shall come down 7. Enoch Teaching 8. Methuselah His death shall bring 9. Lamech The despairing 10. Noah Rest, comfort If we stitch the word meanings together, it forms the following sentences: 1. Man appointed mortal sorrow (The fall of man). 2. The blessed God shall come down teaching (Torah given to Moses) 3. His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort (death of Jesus and fulfilment of Matt 11:28-29)
This is absolutely awesome. The amount of work that must have gone into the research to have this so clearly laid out. Thank you to whoever put this together

My parent's didn't know what they were going to name me til very shortly before my birth, they were in the middle of a bible study and the story of Abraham came up. They thought Terah sounded pretty good (despite the fact he's only mentioned twice in the Bible). 24 years later, here I am watching the breakdown of my namesake's family tree. Interesting times :D
Plus, when used as a name, it's usually for a female and spelled like mine. I can't remember how old I was when I figured out my name was used by someone in the Bible-male or not-, but still always thought that was cool.
This is by far the best and most comprehensive genealogy chart and explanation of the Biblical generations. I was fascinated as the genealogy story unfolded. Excellent presentation.
@@kingkayleb The bible is evidence that these are probably stories people believed, not that the stories themselves are true. By your logic, claims by all other religious text s are also true, simply because the books say so, which would contradict with the bible.
@@normankiraly1816 you just ignored everything I said. I never claimed it was true in my previous comment. I just said it was evidence. Having evidence doesnt prove anything. You cant prove anything
A couple of things to add to this video. 1: Christian Literalist dates align with Protestant and Catholic beliefs, because their Torah is basically sourced from the Masoretic (it's a bit more complicated than that, but for the purposes of this discussion it's true). However, the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches use the Septuagint (the Greek translation), which on average adds 100 years on the length of time between birth and birth of the child for each of the patriarchs (excluding Noah, Terah, and Abraham onwards). The Samaritans do a mix of the two, using what appear to be mostly Masoretic timelines from before the Flood and mostly Septuagint timelines for after the flood. 2: In the Septuagint Selah has a son named Cainan, and he is an interesting case study. He does not appear in the Masoretic or Samaritan Torah at all, and the earliest manuscripts of Luke omit him too. I'm not sure what made the Septuagint translators add Cainan on, though there might be a relation to the Book of Jubilees (apocryphal book considered canon to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church), which also has Cainan. Luke's mention is almost certainly either a scribal error (I believe on the older manuscripts there was a name that looked similar on the previous line of text, and the scribe might have accidentally copied his name twice) or was an overcorrect to align it closer to the Septuagint. 3: It's interesting that the Rabbis came to the conclusion that Exodus 12:40 originally read as "Egypt and Canaan", because that's what some non-denominational Christians have come to conclude using comparative analysis. The Septuagint, older copies of Josephus' body of work, and I believe the Samaritan all say "and Canaan" in those versions. 4: The Matthew genealogy of Jesus is potentially missing a name, because if you count the names for after the exile you only get 13. Now some think this gives credence to the theory that the Matthew genealogy is properly Mary's. The theory goes that Joseph son of Judah was originally the FATHER of Mary rather than her husband, citing the potential ambiguity of the Greek word used there which can mean both "man" and "father". Usually there's also claims of Matthew being originally authored in Hebrew, so there's potentially an element of mistranslation going on too. However, you could also just as easily say there's another ancestor mentioned there that a scribe missed. Both are possibilities worth considering.
This 35:45 minute video deserves a standing ovation. Thank you for the knowledge I didn't know, existed. This is mind-blowing. Loved the chart and the explanation. Well done!!!

Words actually have meanings; knowledge refers to stuff you can know. Many of the characters mentioned in the bible are symbolic entities meant to teach a lesson, but did not actually exist. Therefore it is impossible to know anything about them. Can we know the blood types, or genealogies, or any sort of knowledge at all about the characters in Harry Potter, or Gone With the Wind?
Göbekli Tepe is a Neolithic archaeological site in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. The settlement was inhabited from c. 9500 BCE to at least 8000 BCE, during the Pre-Pottery Neolithic. FUN FACT: The Mesha Stele was destroyed by the Bedouin because the Ottomans were demanding it over. Thankfully, the archaeologist who found it made an imprint of it, so its writing was preserved. @FriendshipandPonies Judgement was made here by using BCE (Before Common Era) this eliminates the name of Jesus Christ for his birth, BC (Before Christ). AD stands for Anno Domini, Latin for “in the year of the Lord”. The calendars we use today are based upon Jesus Christ. I worked in a Surveying Co where I read many property deeds. At the the top of all these older deeds it always showed "In The Year of The Lord"....dated, and signed.
I hope you develop a relationship with GOD for yourself. I grew up going to the Catholic Church every Sunday. As a teenager, I rebelled and stop going to church. But, in my very early 20's, I found my way back to GOD & JESUS CHRIST . . . With the world the way it is, things are coming to an end and I pray you find your way back to GOD. Religion is just a formal term people use to describe some kind of belief system. That is not what I am saying . . . I mean a personal relationship with GOD . . . Time is running out and the gate is narrow. GOD BLESS YOU.

@@soniawilliams7076sonia and larry: 1:40 He says early portions of the Bible may just be literary, thus throwing shade on the Bible's accuracy in historical matters. 8:19 He says: "If you choose to follow the timeline literally.", thus throwing more shade on the Bible. 11:33 He says Rehoboam reigned over Judah, but actually it was Judah and Benjamin. 14:33 He says that the Israelites dwelt in Egypt for 430 years. This is a common misconception from uncareful reading of the text. Galatians 3:17 "And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect." This makes it very clear that the 430 years started from when God made the covenant with Abraham, and Abraham split the animals in two, and then walked between them, to the time that the Israelites left Egypt (or perhaps even to the day they received the 10 Commandments, I don't know), was 430 years. That makes more sense too, because it was a Passover when they left, and a "Passover" when Abraham walked between the two halves of the sacrifice. . I didn't bother watching the rest. Most of the video is good, but as I stated last month, there are some errors in this video. Creating doubt regarding the historical accuracy of any part of the Bible is actually serious error.
Thankyou Matt great work. I started my chart in 1970 when I was 23yrs old and agree so much with what you have done. Little point of interest when secular and biblical dates coincide I was used to calling that an ‘absolute’ date. I worked on the year the Medes and Persians overthrew Babylon. The record of Nabonidus the father and coregent of Belshazzar made on a clay tablet states that event was Oct 5-6 539 B.C.E. according to the Gregorian calendar. So I was very close to you by getting Adams creation at 4026.
Yes, I was 19 in 1970. Both my wife and I have, at different times, tried to figure this out - but then life gets in the way. For a Scholar, studies like this is their life, and I thank them.
Yes, the creation of the first humans was a little over 6,000 years ago. Not the creation of the earth and galaxies, etc. The creation “days” were time periods, not 24 hour days. Especially since some of them took place before there was an earth to have 24 hour days. They may have been millions of years or more in length. But human history only extends back 6,000+ years. Note: 4,000 bce to 2,001 ce would be 6,000 years, as there was no year zero. It went from 1 bce to 1 ce. And 4,025 bce would be going back further than 4,000, so we already passed 6,000 years decades ago, contrary to erroneous comments above. Radiocarbon dating that disagrees with Biblical chronology is just wrong. It fails to take into consideration facts such as the great flood/deluge, and potentially how that altered the earth’s atmosphere by removing a water vapor canopy, allowing more uv rays to penetrate, altering growth rates, changes in the earth’s magnetic field allowing more cosmic rays to penetrate, changing the rate of carbon-14 formation and accumulation, and the apparent ages of creatures from before then compared to after. Don’t be intimidated by ridiculers.

Random little personal story: I actually had an ancestor named Zimri. My 5th (? Maybe 4th? I forget) great grandfather. I wonder why anyone would name their kid after a failed, hated king who was so stubborn and greedy for power that he literally went down in flames. Maybe it was that thing where parents name their child after someone they DON'T want their kid to be like? Maybe that was common in Appalachia? (That's where they lived) I'm not sure 🤷♀️😂 Maybe they just simply opened The Bible randomly and looked for a name, saw Zimri, and decided it was meant to be. I'm not sure what kind of man he was. There's not a lot of info on him. Except that he was a Union Civil War vet with Kidney Disease (info from his pension paperwork/record). I guess less info means he probably wasn't as bad as his namesake, at least 😂
Sometimes the parents just like the name. One of my ancestors from like the 1700’s is named Lucifer and my family has been deeply Christian for centuries according to my dads baptism records research and passed down family records. Why any Christian would name their child after the devil is beyond me.
Second mistake I spotted: in the end of the video, you show the Jewish dates. Is there any chance you mixed Seth and Shem? You explain how "Seth" was born 500 years after Noah. The only Seth that I know of (and the only one on the chart) is Adam's and Eve's son, Noah's Ancestor. Shem would make much more sense in that context :)
Mind boggling. I don't know how many times I will watch this and read the Bible before it will sink into this old noggin of mine. Thank you. You always do good videos. Keep it up.

It looks on the Jewish timeline that you mixed up Noah and Seth, putting Seth as a descendant of Noah rather than the other way around, at roughly 34:45
Judging by the numbers it seems more likely he mixed up Seth with Shem. The names are similar and the dates match otherwise with the numbers used in Genesis.

This was an amazing walkthrough! Thank you for sharing the incredible result of what must have been quite a time intensive project! One thing that I still don't understand is why we switched from BC/AD to BCE/CE, because the dates stayed the same and even with the name change, they still center around the life of Christ. Not sure how this would work into a future useful chart, but I'd be interested to see if that discussion could be made into an infographic.
I once heard it was because the actual year of Jesus' birth is unknown, but most likely 6 BCE to 1 CE. I use BCE and CE here because it doesn't make any sense to say Jesus was born up to 6 years Before Christ. It's really only when you try to date Jesus' birth that it's an issue, which I don't personally think warrants a change.
BC/AD and BCE/CE are two different systems of numbering years, both of which are used to label or number years in the Gregorian calendar. The primary difference lies in their religious or cultural connotations. BC/AD (Before Christ/Anno Domini): BC stands for "Before Christ," and it counts the years before the traditional date of the birth of Jesus Christ. AD stands for "Anno Domini," which is Latin for "In the Year of Our Lord." It counts the years after the traditional date of the birth of Jesus Christ. BCE/CE (Before Common Era/Common Era): BCE stands for "Before Common Era," and it is equivalent to BC. It counts the years before the common era. CE stands for "Common Era," and it is equivalent to AD. It counts the years in the common era. The switch from BC/AD to BCE/CE is largely a matter of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity. The traditional BC/AD system is explicitly tied to Christian religious beliefs, and it can be perceived by some as exclusionary to non-Christian individuals and cultures. As a result, the BCE/CE notation is often preferred by some in academic and intercultural contexts as a more neutral and inclusive way to denote years without relying on religious terminology. The use of BCE/CE is not a rejection of the Gregorian calendar or its historical basis but rather a way to make the dating system more universally acceptable in diverse cultural and religious settings. It is important to note that both systems use the same calendar and count the years in the same way; the only difference is in the terminology used to label the eras.
This sparked a memory from my 8th grade creation science class that I took in part as a favor to the woman teaching it. (I was homeschooled, though not for religious reasons.) In the book the class used, they presented a "scientific" reason for the Biblical men living so long: an oxygenated atmosphere. The idea was that at the beginning of creation, there was a lot of oxygen, so people were super healthy. After the Flood, however, a good chunk of that oxygen was moved into the Earth's water, thus rendering humanity's lifespan to the shorter length it is today. This video was really cool! I always had trouble following the names in the Bible, especially the Old Testament. Now I may not be able to keep track of all of them, but I at least have some visualization of their passage through history. I didn't know that the one king of Judah was pictured!
Also it never rained, water didn't fall from the sky but came up through the ground. So crops were watered by underground aquifers. That's why everyone thought Noah was crazy because water didn't fall from the sky. Also the climate would have been consistent throughout the year. With an oxygenated atmosphere and no hills or mountains temperatures and weather patterns would be the same from day to day.
You can't biologically spawn an entire race from just two parents, all the offspring would be so inbred by the 4-5th generation that they would all have horrible genetic illnesses, deformities and ultimately infertile. So this family tree is pure fiction.
@@vids595 Yeah, it was all based on a single book from the 70s. Young Earth Creationists like that book because it dovetails with what they believe and helps form an echo chamber. So if you just reread Genesis; please explain how this dude forgot about the sixth day creations that GOD said were good? False teaching my friend. Christians must look out for one an another and not believe false teaching that doesn't comport with Scripture.
This is pretty cool. I’ve spent the last 10 years building something similar to this in excel as a timeline. One suggestion I’d give is get “The Coming Prince” by Sir Robert Anderson. As far as the back tracking of your dates there are some chances you’ll end up making. For instance 1 King 480 years is actually going to turn out to be 570 years when referenced in acts. If you take the years they were under servitude in the book of judges out of the 570 then you get 480. Also the 430 years in Egypt isn’t 430 years IN Egypt. It’s 430 years from the moment Abraham was given the command to depart his land. Only 3 generations are in Egypt as well and you can’t get 430 years for only 3 generations. Fun things that we can always dig and dig and dig into. And most people skip the genealogies. Haha.

It's important to note that a careful study of genealogies in the bible reveals one important thing: they did not keep records of genealogies in order to measure time. That's a modern thing that we do. The bible genealogies skip generations a lot in order to make a spiritual point.
Great chart and video again One small typo I found in the timeline on the left, at around 15:15, Noah was 600 years old according to Genesis 7:6, not Genesis 6:7

It makes sense you didn't mention her bc she's not that big a deal, but you should at least include Rahab's name on the chart idk, it feels like she deserves to be shown, she's one of Boaz's grandmas I think
You state that Nathan is previously unknown before the Gospel of Luke mentions him, and thus choose to not include him on the chart. But Nathan is mentioned as one of Bathsheba's other 3 sons in 2 Samuel 5-14 and in 1 Chronicles 3-5 and 14-4.
@@UsefulCharts Would there be any chance of having Nathan added to the chart? I get that David had 15 other kids not mentioned on the chart, and you're wisely trying to only mention the people that get bigger mentions in Bible. But I feel like Nathan is significant enough to get a mention due to the connection to the Genealogy of Jesus. You could even have small unbolded text beneath Nathan's name mentioning that "The Gospel of Luke lists 20 descendants between Nathan and Zerubbabel".
@@UsefulCharts Nice! Thanks for responding! Not to be forceful with suggestions, but here are a few more you can consider if you'd like: There are a few key women in the Bible that are probably also worth a mention. Namely: - Hannah (Samuel's Mother, known for earnestly asking God for a son) and husband Elkanah. - Miriam (Sister of Moses, Prophetess who helped in leading the Exodus). - Naomi (Mother in law of Ruth, mentor to Ruth) and her family (though admittedly that might be a bit harder to fit in...) - I think Ezra is a descendant of Seraiah (last high priest) - Ezra 7:1 - Is Hoshea in the prophets line meant to be Hosea? (no 'H') - The last king of Judah was Zedekiah, not Zechariah. - Unlike Elisha under Elijah, Amos wasn't really tutored under Elisha or anything. Nor Hosea. Not sure if the arrows are a bit misleading considering how they are used everywhere else on the chart. - Any reason for not showing all the other minor prophets? Just not enough room? If so, fair enough, but why only show Amos and Hosea? Is it because they have clearer positions in the timeline or something? - Is the prophet Zephaniah worth mentioning, considering he's a descendant of Hezekiah and is thus actually tied more closely to the family tree? And also Mordecai, cousin of Esther, considering he's a notable character in the Bible? There is absolutely NO evidence for the apologetics spin at all. If you are a literalist, it is impossible for an author to have used Joseph's name for Mary - and the explanation that "it was the time, they couldn't use a female's name, etc." is belied by other women being mentioned in various lineages and by the simple reality that if you are talking about a book literally penned by almighty god, using human instruments - GOD can put anything he wants in his book and who is going to stop Him? No, the Bible isn't literal and the two authors recorded a different lineage, remembering too that NONE of the gospels were written by the men whose names are ascribed to them.
Because the writers screwed up, or they heard the stories differently before they wrote them down themselves. Don't forget that the printing press was not invented until the 15th century and all works before then were handed down by word of mouth and/or copied by hand for many many centuries. This is also why stories that Mark, Matthew and Luke tell that are the same, differ in slight and not so slight ways. If they were truly inspired by an omnipotent being they would be exactly the same. Adam and Eve definitely did not have enough children (especially girls) to account for all the humans in the world. Cain met his wife in another town and "knew" her, but there is no explanation for where she came from. If she was one of Adam and Eve's daughters then surely she would have been named.
@@kstaxkin103rd Proof please, not supposition, not guesses, not apologetics, show me the verses that say that . THAT is what literalism means. I was in an evangelical church, I was ordained in an evangelical church. I was wrong. I realized that many decades ago. Show me the verses that say that either of the two accounts are actually Mary. Go ahead. THERE ARE NONE. You are depending in one way or another on the argument from necessity, a broadly used logical fallacy ( basically "Oh my faith needs this to be true - that shows it isn't true - so hmmm... this unsupported guess must be true because I need it to be true and it explains away the problem I'm having with what is ACTUALLY there.") or a sudden respect for period culture "Oh, they wouldn't let a woman's lineage to be recorded" Exactly who can forbid Almighty God from including any lineage he wants?????? That argument is even weaker unless you acknowledge that the Bible is just a book. So go ahead, show me PROOF that one of those lineages, ascribed to Joseph is actually Mary.
@@JustWasted3HoursHere The Bible says they had more children, even if they're not named. If people were living super long times, then each woman could bare a huge litter of children.

4. Kenan Sorrow
5. Mahahlalel The blessed God
6. Jared Shall come down
7. Enoch Teaching
8. Methuselah His death shall bring
9. Lamech The despairing
10. Noah Rest, comfort
If we stitch the word meanings together, it forms the following sentences:
1. Man appointed mortal sorrow (The fall of man).
2. The blessed God shall come down teaching (Torah given to Moses)
3. His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort (death of Jesus and fulfilment of Matt 11:28-29)

I had the same story with my name, Naomi. Mom was reading the Bible and was on Ruth. She couldn't choose Ruth cause Aunt was named Ruth.

I case of 2, I think you are referring to Cainan and not Selah.
@@morlewen7218 ah yes, my bad. I shall edit my comment approximately.

@@dcdanger6151 Yes, in 2024 the Earth is turning 6000 years old.

Wonderful! Finally I’ve found out how everything went from the time of creation of Adam and Eva. I was struggling to comprehending it and I realize everything makes more sense. Thank you!

What a great video! They always are! Really hate the BCE/CE stuff though. If a man can be born and literally spilt the calendar in two, he deserves to have his name on it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Bible

I wish I could have this explained to me when I was in catechism. Then I would have had a better grade. This is very clear and easy to understand when YOU explain it. Thank you very much.
I’m not a very religious person, but I do believe in God. I love this type of religious/biblical history. It is very interesting.
The term biblical historical is in fact an oxymoron.🇬🇧

Thank you for this great chart! Just one question/suggestion/criticism: Why do you leave out Dinah? We know nothing of her progeny, but she still is a daughter of Jacob and imo deserves to be mentioned. More so than many others on this chart who don't even have a narrative connected to their name.
Because this video specifically is looking at the genealogy leading to Jesus...
@@NageelaMom By that metric a lot of the people on the chart could be omitted. Including several of the other children of Jacob.
Thank you for all your hard work to make this video!
I admire your diligence bro, this video is a good summary of the bible.

I think this is the best video and most educational I have seen. Thanks for the unbiased, smart, educative video
This is very well done! One other person you could have added at the end is Paul, who descended from the Tribe of Benjamin. Regardless, this is great!
I really appreciate all the hard work and research! Very well done
The Book of Jubilees, which is found in Ethiopian and Eritrean Christian and Jewish Scriptures and used by ancient Jews and some early Christians, actually names matriarchs (i.e. the elsewhere unnamed wives of many of these partriarchs).
Also, Nathan son of David is in the Tanakh. He didn’t come out of nowhere lol (2 Sam. 5: 14; 1 Chron. 3:5 and 14:4).
Danke!

Totally, amazing! Informative! Interesting! Explained and laid out perfectly! Thank you so much
another very enlightening video. Thanks for the work you put into these.
Thank you for the chronological reasoning. It means nothing in terms of salvation but gives reference points to those who are literal believers.
This was an amazing walkthrough! Thank you for sharing the incredible result of what must have been quite a time intensive project! One thing that I still don't understand is why we switched from BC/AD to BCE/CE, because the dates stayed the same and even with the name change, they still center around the life of Christ. Not sure how this would work into a future useful chart, but I'd be interested to see if that discussion could be made into an infographic.
i agree, its so pointless. i still use bc and ad haha
BC/AD (Before Christ/Anno Domini):
BC stands for "Before Christ," and it counts the years before the traditional date of the birth of Jesus Christ.
AD stands for "Anno Domini," which is Latin for "In the Year of Our Lord." It counts the years after the traditional date of the birth of Jesus Christ.
BCE/CE (Before Common Era/Common Era):
BCE stands for "Before Common Era," and it is equivalent to BC.
@@mzahra1 blahblahblahblah.
Its the same calendar.
That's exactly what I said lol. I'm Christian. The change was made for non-Christians. @@kunaikat2232
I read dinosaurs were huge thanks to more oxygen, and that long human lifespans were thanks to better genes, which also solved the incest taboo.
Wow, they had no idea how biology works at all.
Keeping my mouth shut and sucking up to get an A and get out of that class was one of the more difficult things I've done over the course of my life, though it did prove unfortunately useful for college.
Maybe it'd be worth mentioning Ruth's other family? Naomi is a fairly significant character in the book of Ruth.
Also Hannah and Elkanah (Samuel's parents) are fairly significant people in 1 Samuel.
You must know that Adam & Eve was not alone. There are another people. But Biblical text mention about chosen ones. Chart is beautiful made. Thank you.
Nope
Yes, there were neanderthals and denisovans...even the Chinese history goes back to earlier than the birth date of Adam and Eve
I did wonder how Noah was created without partners to create with.

This chart is excellent. Timely since I just reread genesis.
Have a map to follow along with the dates would really be fascinating.
Haha.
If your a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim or even if you don't believe it's a stunning & eye popping History & thank you so much...sharing w all my family & friends
Thanks, Matt, for this wonderful chart. Lots of information although I wish there's more on Babylonian Exilarch side from the line of Hananya ben Zerubbabel at least few names until 1258. The "year" has not been a standard unit over the centuries. It has changed several times. It may also refer to a lunar calendar vs a solar calendar.

Very grateful for all the hard work and research you have done here. Quite remarkable. Very uselful.
It's important to note that a careful study of genealogies in the bible reveals one important thing: they did not keep records of genealogies in order to measure time. That's a modern thing that we do. The bible genealogies skip generations a lot in order to make a spiritual point.
Yes my friend

It makes sense you didn't mention her bc she's not that big a deal, but you should at least include Rahab's name on the chart idk, it feels like she deserves to be shown, she's one of Boaz's grandmas I think
She was a big enough deal for Matthew the gospel writer! She got included in his genealogy
Rahab is definitely a big deal. She is one of David grandmothers (not sure how many grates but I think it’s 2-4) she a matriarch of the line of David
Absolutely incredible presentation. Thank you. Look forward to checking out the rest of your work.
I stand corrected.
Yeah, I might do that.
@@UsefulCharts Nice! Thanks for responding!
Not to be forceful with suggestions, but here are a few more you can consider if you'd like:
There are a few key women in the Bible that are probably also worth a mention. Namely:
- Hannah (Samuel's Mother, known for earnestly asking God for a son) and husband Elkanah.
- Miriam (Sister of Moses, Prophetess who helped in leading the Exodus).
- Naomi (Mother in law of Ruth, mentor to Ruth) and her family (though admittedly that might be a bit harder to fit in...)
- I think Ezra is a descendant of Seraiah (last high priest) - Ezra 7:1
- Is Hoshea in the prophets line meant to be Hosea? (no 'H')
- The last king of Judah was Zedekiah, not Zechariah.
(Perhaps don't need to show Esther's father, just a line to Mordecai with the word "cousin" above)
Anyway, again, I don't want to be forceful with my suggestions or questions. I love trying to understand the process involved in making charts, specifically in deciding what to include and not include. I think you've done a wonderful job with this chart thus far, and I especially love the inclusion of all the nearby kings and rulers and the relevant Bible verses put next to them! :)
i hope you guys offer this in different color schemes or more designs one day. because it’s awesome. i would love a more minimalistic design for my house. this design would be more suited for a sunday school classroom than a home. ❤
I’ve always wondered why Mathew and Luke had different ancestry for Jesus.
@@radagast25aabsolutely false.
