Here is the thing: Sadly, and i hope we can change that, it is IMPOSSIBLE for large parts of the population to eat the kind of meat that you should eat. i.e. grass fed-grass finished beef from happy healthy cows. Believe me, i try. It is hard to come by and hideously expensive and most of the time if you go to normal grocery stores you get scammed. So, IF we want people to do this, we, as a society, have to make laws that support this. e.g. We have to come up with a way to economically raise cattle in that way. We need to create real labels that inform people as to the REAL circumstances that cattle they are buying was raised, what they ate etc. Not some bogus label that is used to scam people.
Farm raised meat has done so much for my health, if there wasn’t a close place to buy it, I would travel and buy a cow at one time. It will last you for several months. Support farmers

We Humans are made of red meat. To repair or maintain anything, you need to apply more of the same. Beef and lamb are not identical to human flesh, but it is as close as you can get. Broccoli and kale are not found in a human body. And they will require much processing to benefit our structure. I am a European Auto mechanic, and I don't form wood pieces into car parts. UA-cam 'Former Vegans' to gain knowledge from their failure.
I have read many books, I listened to many UA-cam videos by many of the world's leading gurus and health experts but nothing came close to “the hidden herbs” by anette ray. I recommend everyone giving it a read.
B12 in meat is not bioavailable for the human body. When one takes a blood test and finds that there is enough B12 that's because it's in the blood, but that B12 does not go to the organs. The body makes it's own B12 with the help of elevated biotics that you find on leafy greens including sprouts and all organic vegetables that are home grown or bought at the farmers market where it isn't over washed. B12 is produced in the ileum. So most people are B12 deficient even the meat eaters. This is from the Medical Medium books. The truth about health. I was eating lots of meat for 15 years the paleo style. I got sick and am now slowly healing with this information.
Grocery shopping is so much easier and cheaper if you just stick to a real human diet. I have eaten usually a NewYork strip with 4 eggs everyday. Sometimes mix it up with ribeye or just hamburger. Never felt better in my life. I been thinking about climbing a mountain lately😂.
Eat a pound of 100% grass fed/ regenerative raised hamburger a week of recent. This would not have happened a short time ago. Also I am now 6 mos. free of seed oils. DON'T eat out. Everything and everything has vegetable oils in it. After a bike ride this summer friends and I finished the ride and proceeded to Chipolte. I only had ice tea, no sugar. One friend while aware of seed oils thought he would be fine with just rice and beans. I went home and got on the computer and guess what? You got it. Chipolte even put vegetable oils in the rice and beans. Moral of the story, bring your own food.
@@cccar67 That is correct. Even the fine restaurants. Pretty insane. I had the opportunity to talk to one of those food truck guys. All the restaurants buy vegetable oil by the pound. Usually a 38# tin which is about 5 gallons. The food people fill the tin back up after they use it and leave it out back and someone will pick the tin up and use the spent oil for their diesel motors. Disgusting!
@@cccar67 I wish I was more of a fountain of optimism but seed oil have been in the food system since 1870 with cottonseed oil which was used as a machine lubricant. Look up UA-cam "How it's made- vegetable oils" The one that I can recommend is show the hamburger with three different oils listed on it. Proctor and Gamble has marketed seed oils very effectively and we lose. Who knew? We just keep getting fatter and sicker.

I eat what the doctors and mainstream nutrition “experts” advise against such as; grass fed butter (love the saturated fat it is so healthy and nutritious), red meat, eggs, and full cream milk these are all nourishing and healthy!
I feel better on a plant based diet. I have more mental clarity, energy and overall feel light and buoyant. I also have fewer allergies. Animal products make me feel sluggish and inflamed, with red meat being the worst offender, then probably eggs. This is with all of the high quality pasture raised, free-range, etc. stuff.
I have lupus and followed your advice for 2 years and my kidney function decreased significantly. My markers for omega 6 also significantly increased. Carnivore might be good for acne , diabetes , and weight loss but it’s not good for chronic diseases like lupus and cancer. Don’t just take his advice or any other doctor promoting what they think is best , get your labs checked and research what the markers mean. No diet is one size fits all.
I tried carnivore but i started getting sketchy heart palpitations. Otherwise i felt great. Like i was amazed because in the month or so that i ate that way my mentality really changed. I developed interest in things i used to really be into, like playing guitar, dirtbikes, lifting, man stuff. Old passions came back and i felt like the old me. The whole experience causes me to believe that red meat is truly a superfood. Suuuch a bummer that i had to quit. I wish i knew what was going on.
When you go on a low carb diet, it has a diuretic effect and your kidney will release more electrolytes. Since you weren't eating carb you lose your glycogen and the water that come with it as well. The keto people dub it keto flu and suggest it normalize over time. I argue against this, I don't think it 'normalized' so much that the body has to adapt to a less optimal state. You can get back to better electrolyte status by reintroducing healthy carbs such as fruits. One explanation for you feeling better, mentally particularly, from going carnivore is because you eliminated a lot of foods that were not good for your gut health. When your digestion is not optimal combined with foods that you don't digest well, it takes more energy to digest and the foods stay in the digest track longer, it can allow bacteria to start to ferment the foods and release endotoxins, which does affect mental performance, or there were a leaky gut issue. It is argued that much of improvement people felt from going low carb or keto isn't due to avoiding carb, but eating foods that are less problematic, removing seed oils, and eating more nutritious food.
It’s really simple. The composition of fatty acids in meat is considerably more athrogenic than other saturated fat sources(palmitic acid is to blame) let alone monounsaturated fats.
Hello Paul, quick question... Thank you for your work, I have been on this diet for a long time now, influenced by your book "The Carnivore Code." The thing that I have realized is that I urinate quite a lot, the otherday when I did a quick research, I found a literature describing how meat is heavy on our kidneys. Are you aware of this literature? And what would your advice be for someone like me. Pura Vida, Tebogo
He has a recent video on how dairy balances some things “overdone” in meat. I’m animal based 101 or in the common mistakes of animal based he talks how organs and bone broth/meat stock balances muscle meat
Meat is not “heavy” on your kidneys. Are you incorporating fruits and honey? If not, these are essentials for absorbing minerals to hold onto water and hydrate you. You might not be absorbing electrolytes if you aren’t incorporating carbohydrates.
If your urine is clear, it could be that you're not eating enough salt. Our urine should be the colour of a natural lemonade. Without adequate salt, we urine more because water isn't entering the cell to clear out the toxins, which makes our urine yellow.
He doesn’t respond. Just stresses his opinion and sells his supplement companies products. Just saying… I follow his diet and buy his stuff. But he is terrible at responding.
@pb.pb.pb.pb. 😅I'm just not sure about raw meat. From what I can think of is that their meat was not as contaminated as ours, and as we both know how an animal is raised affects the meat that it produces😄... Is meat protein affected by how the meat is cooked? Mucho gusto
I have switched between both vegan and keto / carnivore. I feel tired after 2 weeks of vegan with supplementation, but on keto/carnivore, I feel much better and look about 3 years younger. I believe diet is individual but for skin health, and energy, animal foods are necessary.
I recently ate sheep tongue and sheep brain. Can you tell the benefits of sheep brain? It was actually very tasty, i loved the texture, i ate 2 of them everyday for 3 days straight
I think different diets work for different people. I never liked meat, gave up eating red meat a long time ago can’t quite go vegetarian, I eat a little chicken and sea food but really don’t like texture of it. Choose the diet that works for you whether it’s vegetarian, vegan, carnivore or something in between and if you’re eating meat at least threat them humanely before you kill them. Btw apparently vegetarians live longer than non vegetarians but someone joked it only seems longer. As for eating grains Americans have no problems eating bread when they go to Europe. Could it be the stuff you’re spraying on your grain? My son lived in Houston, Texas for two years and said two things he didn’t like was the bread and cheese. In New Zealand all our animals are grass fed so our diary products good quality unless you have a allergy or sensitivity. Unfortunately we too have a lot of processed foods which I think is a big problem. Best to eat whole foods, organic if possible.
Brian has said that he's vegan from personal choice rather than from believing that it's optimal. Considering the lengths he's going to to be optimal, being vegan is a huge detriment to it all. Perhaps he'll switch to meat in future and we'll have an amazing n=1 study of how fit someone can be with $1m worth of monitoring and supplements "despite" their vegan diet, and then how much that same person thrives with no supplements but eating meat.
Lipoprotein b is 130... ldl chol is 158, triglycerides are 94, hdl is 48, A1c is 5.5. Had a CAC 4 years ago with a score of zero. Diet has been consistent since then. I eat meat heavy keto. Should I be worried about that lipoprotein b number? Thinking of going dedicated carnivore.
I've been whole food plant based and vegan before that for almost 10 years. I wouldn't classify myself as an ethical vegan, I just want to eat as healthfully as I can and reduce my risk of disease and slow down aging. I never was someone who didn't like the taste of offal or red meat or seafood etc. I think it's important to compare science, but when you go to AI or scientific studies... where is the proof that this is not going to increase our risk of all cause mortality? Genuinely , I'm just always open to hearing other perspectives. Just because they can be a good source of nutrients, that doesn't mean that it's the best place to get those nutrients right? And if it were necessary, in the past 10 years I should have started having a decline but I've not experienced that, only supplementing b12 and I barely remember to ever do that
What do you think of fish & seafood? It seems like great civilizations happen always near bodies of water. Is it bc of the greater population or greater fish consumption?? It does have all that wonderful fish oil in it obviously
I don’t know why, I have always had a hard time eating meat. I just don’t care for it. But recently, I had to go on a diet where I ate mostly meat, and made jerky out of ground beef. It has changed everything! I can eat a lot of meat every day, and I feel really good on it. maybe someone else out there is like me and might want to try this….
@@JBaker-yu3dr I season the ground beef, roll it with a rolling pin between two thick pieces of freezer bag, then I cut it in strips with a scissors and dry it for about 10 1/2 hours at 140°. The dry time also depends on how thin you roll it. Mine is never exactly the same. I do different seasonings all the time. General rule of thumb is 1 teaspoon of salt per pound of meat, unless you’re putting something like coconut amino’s in there. Here’s one of my favorite recipes: 3lbs of ground beef, 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 tablespoon ginger, 2 teaspoons salt, 6 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil, 1 teaspoon vitamin C, 3 tablespoons coconut aminos.
I agree Paul, but he has stated that the vegan diet is the only part of blueprint that is his personal choice for ethical reasons and is not necessary for the protocol.
That's a broad topic. Depends on how it's processed. But examples are deli meats, ham, salami, hot dog, sausage, corned beef, beef jerky. Most of these use sodium nitrites as a curing agent and preservative. And bacon. Uncured bacon is also cured bacon, it's just cured with celery juice instead of sodium nitrite. Bacon that has not been cured at all would be a belly cut that hasn't been cured and you slice it yourself. Beef jerky is a broad range, because there are low quality very processed ones, and high quality ones that don't have nitrites added. tbh, I like ham and salami, I just don't eat it very often.
Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.

Usually a 38#

This is with all of the high quality pasture raised, free-range, etc. stuff.
One size does not fit all
I have lupus and followed your advice for 2 years and my kidney function decreased significantly.
I have improved my eGFR significantly on ketovore and I have kidney disease. Cancer cells thrive on sugar. No diet is one size fits all…. Is so true.
Calcium deficiency most probably
Pure meat broccoli in small doses and three tbs of yogurt are fabulous
Hello Paul, quick question...
Thank you for your work, I have been on this diet for a long time now, influenced by your book "The Carnivore Code." The thing that I have realized is that I urinate quite a lot, the otherday when I did a quick research, I found a literature describing how meat is heavy on our kidneys.
Are you aware of this literature? And what would your advice be for someone like me.
Pura Vida,
Tebogo
Mucho gusto
It’s not sanity that is in question, it is logic.
I have switched between both vegan and keto / carnivore. I feel tired after 2 weeks of vegan with supplementation, but on keto/carnivore, I feel much better and look about 3 years younger. I believe diet is individual but for skin health, and energy, animal foods are necessary.

my MD advised me to not eat carbs other than fruits. And limit fruits.
Basically what Paul is saying is eating meat is the only thing I did right in my life
I think different diets work for different people.
Thanks!

He says there's too many carcinogens and heavy metals to eat it regularly.
Eat sardines and mackerel.
Great video
I don’t know why, I have always had a hard time eating meat. I just don’t care for it. But recently, I had to go on a diet where I ate mostly meat, and made jerky out of ground beef. It has changed everything! I can eat a lot of meat every day, and I feel really good on it. maybe someone else out there is like me and might want to try this….
I would like to know how you make it?
Why did the podcast get cutoff at the end. Where's the rest

I agree Paul, but he has stated that the vegan diet is the only part of blueprint that is his personal choice for ethical reasons and is not necessary for the protocol.
Which red meats do you consider to be processed red meats? Another great podcast!
Basically meat with additives
If he is taking taurine, which is only present in animal foods, where is his taurine supplement coming from to remain vegan?
