    Thank you so much for this video ✨one of my compulsions is looking up a video like this lol so I’m gonna try not to come back for this reason (reassurance) but I will take your words to heart! Gonna do my best to embrace uncertainty!

    Before all of this I had never ever thought about this stuff and questioned if I am attracted to children. It's so shameful and terrifying even though I do not enjoy any of it in any way and I do not like the thought of children in that way at all. It's ruined my life, there have been times where I have been totally convinced that it's not OCD and that I'm in denial, I feel like I can't be in a relationship and get my married anymore. I used to dream of having children but now I am too afraid :( I wish for this all to go away...

      @@ElizabethGonzalez-jt7ns I want to believe you I really do but the attraction feels so real? If it's OCD then how can OCD make you feel that way? :'(

      @@bobettepancakes … when you have OCD, your themes will change over time. Your brain will grow tired and bored of that theme.

      Elizabeth is right.
      It gets better and eventually you can tell the difference between OCD and attraction. I’ve been dealing with this stuff for months and I was basically in your spot too. You just have to keep pulling through and well listening to the guy’s advice. Your head might create new things over time but eventually it’ll all get better

      @@ElizabethGonzalez-jt7ns Or you control the obsessions to a point where they no longer impact your life at all. OCD can be put absolutely under control. Ali Greymond says one can recover from it. And I believe in it.

    Is it a pocd if you fear or think you did something wrong with a child you were alone with last time, but not sure and the person tries to play the memory over and over to figure out the answer but does not succeed?

      probably a mix of pocd and false memory ocd

    And there you say all ocd is the same but then say if the fear is true of someone with Hocd then they can be gay which then goes against what therapists say that no one realises there fear is true but if your saying it can be true then someone with PoCD can realise they are. It’s the same logic just a different ocd theme? Thought you stated to me no one fear comes true?

      I am only saying what my therapist has said that people aren’t these things and told me people aren’t pedophiles, killers, etc. I am just repeating what they have told me that’s all. Brian I need help to recover. I will do anything . I am need help noticing my rituals and compulsions and what and how to do it. Sent a message on Skype

      @@lister11811 you're living in a world of constant rituals by continually arguing against the point of uncertainty and leaning on what "some therapists" have said about the veracity of the content of your OCD. Your unwillingness to take the first step in treatment is keeping you stuck and preventing you from comprehending this basic concept. Clearly relying on what some therapists told you about OCD not being true is not working for you. This is why it's a bad idea for them to do that. Low probability doesn't mean impossible and maybe you have OCD AND the content is true. We treat the OCD. That's it. We do nothing about the actual content. Treatment ain't fun man but yes even people with POCD have to accept the possibility that they are actually pedophiles in order to get freedom from OCD.

      But I don’t want the content to be true Brian but if it is have I been misled for years.. what do I tell me Ex then I was in denial, I was misunderstood what they said. Even she came to therapy with me and was clearly told it was just OCd and I wasn’t. I am just going on what I have been told mate that’s it. I don’t want to be Gay but if it can be true what do I tell people?

      @@lister11811 Are you on meds mate? Your ocd seems just as severe as mine was and I've recently had a change in medication and it's really helping with rumination, compulsions and generally just getting on with my life a lot more.
