    I never thought to put my stencils in a portfolio. I have them in a plastic bin with my distress inks, but will have to steal this great idea from you. Lol I like that you can flip through them organized to find what stencil you want. Lots of wonderful storage ideas you have. Your coloring nook looks cozy and colorful -- thanks for sharing!

      So glad you liked it, Jen! :) I'm loving the stencil book - so much easier to see what I have and no more tangled stencils!

    Thanks for the tour! I made my stencil book from Dollar Tree with 1 of the 3 binder ring folders and a pack of sheet protectors and I had cardstock at home.. so much better to just flip through..

      Glad you liked it! :) Yes - they do watersoluble crayons similar to Neocolor II crayons. I really like Lyra products! :)

    Thanks for the tour! A tour of my creative space would be very boring… my couch, lap desk and a Michaels art cart. 😂
    I have a problem with my writers bump as well, and I find the best think is to put those foam pencil grips on my pencils. Or if I’m using larger mediums like my Ohuhu alcohol markers, I use a silicone finger protector I found on Amazon. Since I’ve started doing that I have no issues

    • @colouringchemist
      @colouringchemist  8 місяців тому

      Thanks for the tip! I'll have to get some of those foam grips and look for a finger protector. And I think everyone's colouring space is fascinating - I'm sure that what's on your cart works for you! :)

    Hi Connie! You have so much beautiful stuff to work with and you color with Pitt pen’s 😂😂😂! I have them to but color mostly with pencils! I need to use them more….I store my stencils the same way but i put black cardstock between them. Nice place to work on!

    • @colouringchemist
      @colouringchemist  8 місяців тому

      I love colouring with Pitt Pens! :) I'm thinking of doing a series of videos about them and how I use them - I think they're an underused supply for colourists! And yes - black cardstock would have probably been better behind my stencils. ;) :)

      @@colouringchemist i will love that! Please learn me how to use my Pitt pens, they are to expensive just to look at!

    Color me green with envy over your magnificent vista. I'd never get any coloring done watching the seasons and their animal companions grow and change. My coloring space consists of a card table and a large storage bin. If I did videos mine would last one minute maybe five minutes if I unpacked the bin. With so many supplies to choose from where do you begin your selection process?

      The view is lovely - and does get distracting sometimes. :)
      I tend to grab whatever supply catches my eye at the moment and go with that. :) I have a general idea of which supplies work best on different types of paper so I'll often choose an image in a book first and then look at the supplies I know will work on that paper and then grab whatever jumps out at me. :) I know lots of colourists will plan their colourings but I have so much planning and organization in my day job that I'm try to embrace spontaneity in my colouring. :)

    • @brachameansblessing3127
      @brachameansblessing3127 7 місяців тому

      @@colouringchemist I don't advance plan either. My coloring supplies are limited I know what works with what and after I pick a picture the supplies sort of pick themselves. My only problem is often completing those parts of a picture which I find boring. One image calls out "Color me" and I dive right into it without a thought that the rest of the page is not saying anything inspirational.♿👵🎨 Barb

    For the writers bump, I use sports tape. Works great

    Lovely space Connie, can I ask where you got the horizontal storage for the regular Pitt pens - I am in the UK and have been looking for something similar on Amazon but cannot find anything. 🤷🏼‍♀️

      The storage racks are just the Spectrum Noir racks:
      www.amazon.co.uk/Spectrum-Noir-Universal-Trays-Black/dp/B00H26BCV6/ref=sr_1_4?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ZGFD1dmCEIo31z0EnOCzbDaKLpBp2jU_99XUHTUX1UmToQ0HhCovBKWrrDvpXB9HZ4BBU64rbA43sGeRKZHIdNdPCSuna9GEl-f-vMEpqz3ymGR-VUr1H_AYNSn2HtYVlwtMflrlZOp78e5h10_4oiK7cf-ifjQuR091bQrNjco2CQ8-E99xvwhSPiuvugDUS9dfnKLQIlqlhtnwzLhgHrSAlRQdSOAGycIJs4oZjYdj5qKZI2VZCgdQwsxGaj1BaL7obmCtXYZ4mSYJJqtTcm93FvP4-Rl3xkTMPRDui8Y.eBBfrwNnNc1q2ikz9En8v1OMSr3HGw7rf24q8KIWraE&dib_tag=se&keywords=spectrum%2Bnoir%2Bpen%2Bstorage&qid=1710984608&sr=8-4&th=1
      In order to make the Pitt Pens stick out far enough, I took a kitchen sponge and cut it up into little cubes and then put a "cube" of sponge at the back of each little storage slot. I plan on doing some in depth videos on my Pitt Pen collection (and the different ways that I use them for colouring :)) so I'll show my little storage hack in one of those videos. :)

    Do you use the artist gloves. They help a lot. Love your art area, it’s so similar to mine. Are you a Tuarus by any chance. You remind me of me, only a younger version. I hope my comments aren’t too weird. Remember I am starting from the beginning and going forward. So I hope I haven’t annoyed you. Loved this video. ❤❤

    This is not a colouring question, you said you teach from home, is there no more chemistry labs? I am so confused on how you can teach chemistry from home. Lol. You can probably tell I am old! Thanks, Connie. I love your channel. ❤❤❤

      I teach homeschooled students online so they do their labs at home using a microscale lab kit that they purchase. :)
