what I love most about your room is that it seems like a real space for having fun creatively and not just perfectly decorated and never used. i immediately thought.. oh this is a wonderful space with natural light and all the craft items for when inspiration strikes. How wonderful and thanks for sharing. *and hopefully you can hold off giving it up to one of the kiddos! we are just now in the stage of life where both girls are college/graduated from college so i am *Finally* thinking of having my own craft space and not just the dining table.

Oh wow, everything is so organized! I wish my desk would look like that. I also use those little bookmarks to mark the pages I want to do. it saves a lot of time.

Oh WOW! This is so lovely. I like the 'L' shape set up. It's cool, because it's a great foundation for expansion and repurposing when needed. The crafting supplies are awesome too. I crochet as a "craft' but it haven't in a while also because crafting anything is time consuming, and when one gets started one can become obsessed; and that's a state that is far from relaxed for me. So I color more these days. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your space. I’m still trying to organize mine. My kids are older and now on their own, so my husband made our extra room a craft room for me, and I love having my own space to relax and color in. I love seeing craft room tours because it gives me ideas. Beautiful room❤

Oh my goodness Maia what a fun and beautiful room! The daylight lamps everywhere is so useful and beautiful, such a vibe. My favorite part is your acrylic paintpen drawer which is so you, and is so cute. And you gotta be kidding me about those neon homegoods containers I'm gonna have to go pick one up! And of course I love your bookshelves. So satisfying, gorgeous. Such a funny problem with the different height books lol I have the same problem, barely contained, in my storage closet. I LOVE IT!!

The main reason that my craftroom looks so organized is becasue i moved, i was forced to take everything out, assess it and decide if i want to pack it or toss it. And i cheated because i also put a lot of craft stuff in the garage. I too find it hard to part with craft items, in case i want to get into that craft again lol !!!! Hope your break is coming soon ! I love your space! I can’t wait to one day have a space of my own. I currently have to put all my supplies into a closet and take out as needed. I do not have a dedicated space at all and hate always having to set up everything and put completely away every single time I color
Oh man !!! I hope you can have a small set up somewhere in your house soon! Its very difficult to pull everything out and clean up each time ! When i lived in a smaller apartment when i had only my first baby, i set up a desk in the living room along with a small bookshelf nearby. Thanks for watching and commenting ! Happy coloring !

I love this!!! Thank you Maia!!! You are amazing!!! I have a few of the Michaels totes as well. I have been looking for color shifting paints...so far not much luck. I am going to try Michaels...we have a new Hobby Lobby but that store creeps me out a wee bit. They had none. I fond the pastel blue on amazon for $9! I bought it cause that is the one I really wanted. I have made piles in every room in my house of craft stuff..mainly coloring. I sew too and was a big mixed media person. I worked at a craft/hobby store in Orange county for 9 years in scrap booking so I have a few assorted crafts. I just got a book on a stitch a day embroidery journals...ahh so many crafts and so little time. Thank you!!
Omg thank you !!! Do you mean colorshifting watercolors ? Or colorshifting acrylic craft paints ? Because Michaels does have acrylic craft paints called color shift, but for watercolors id get some of the finetec ones they are expensive but amazing. Blick has them online
@@coloredbymaia6476 I already got my first order from the Pens and paper place you recommended. I got a few Kuritaki singles to add slowly to my collection. I also have a basket from Jacksons art...sale on Caran D'ache.....I am collected them slowly as well. I love the Museum Aquarelle pencils. I found a couple of the colorshift acrylics at Walmart. I am trying to get more comfortable with backgrounds and acrylic markers as well as water based markers. Thank you Maia!!!
Wonderful, rounded out space! I hope you are able to keep it. You've put a lot of thought and effort into it. I'm still moving things into my art area. It's very slow going, and I'm having a hard time with letting some of my non-coloring crafty stuff go. I really need to make room for the things I regularly use 😩. Omg i know !!! Very hard to get rid of other crafting stuff !!! The only reason my new craft room is so organized is because i moved. I was forced to take everything out and assess if i wanted to pack it or toss it and plus i cheated because i have a whole bookcase of craftstuff in the garage. My kids like to use my older craft stuff too so im keeping certain things !! But ya craft items are the hardest to get rid of
Thanks for sharing your creative space! I lost my craft room when we moved - I still miss it! Now I have a Pax Wardrobe from Ikea to store my scrapbook supplies in and recently upgraded to the larger craft cart from Michael’s for my colouring supplies.

I wish! In a heartbeat !!! I love England !!! My parents took my on a trip there around age 12 or so and i wish i could go back !!! It took a lot to organize and its becasue i moved, i took everything out, threw stuff away and also put a lot of stuff in the Garage !!! So im cheating i guess haha, but i need to toss old crafts that im not interested in, but its hard to let go of craft stuff

Love your space! So organized and colorful. You mentioned that you prefer the Versa Ink to the Distress Ink. Do you use the Versa for backgrounds and is it easier to apply than the Distress? Thanks so much and I love your channel ❤
Well to be fair they are both good , however i feel the Versa lasts longer the distress dont have the best packaging and arent as air tight
Curious, Maia - have you tested your new box of Arteza glitter gel pens? I've tried purchasing the set of 18 twice and both times there were at least 5 pens in the box that just wouldn't work. Arteza refunded me both times but I'm now hesitant to try again. It seems this problem started in the last year or so - older sets were fine. Just wondering if your new set is good. :) Love your set-up!! :)
Omg its so funny that you say that because that was a new set that i just repurchased, and i didnt test them out because ive had them before, and the return window closed, so now i have to run after Arteza to refund me !! So annoying, none of them work !!none of them , all dried out !!!!! I emailed them and also tried sending them a message in IG yesterday.

Lol i guess i meant to say anyone can do it! , i think coloring requires more skill to perfect, hope you know what i mean! I do enjoy both very much so im not knocking mixed media because i love doing mixed media work myself.
